19For the Sonne of God Iesus Christ, who was preached among you by vs, euen by me, and Syluanus and Timotheus, was not Yea, and Nay, but in him, was yea. 20For all the promises of God in him are Yea, and in him Amen, vnto the glory of God by vs. 21Now hee which stablisheth vs with you, in Christ, and hath anoynted vs, is God, 22Who hath also sealed vs, and giuen the earnest of the Spirit in our hearts. 23Moreouer, I call God for a record vpō my soule, that to spare you I came not as yet vnto Corinth.

1:21 I say, to the glory of God - For it is God alone that is able to fulfil these promises. That establisheth us - Apostles and teachers. With you - All true believers. In the faith of Christ; and hath anointed us - With the oil of gladness, with joy in the Holy Ghost, thereby giving us strength both to do and suffer his will.
