38I sent you to reape that, whereon ye bestowed no labour: other men laboured, and yee are entred into their labours. 39¶ And many of the Samaritanes of that citie beleeued on him, for the saying of the woman, which testified, Hee told me all that euer I did. 40So when the Samaritanes were come vnto him, they besought him that he would tarie with them, and he abode there two dayes. 41And many moe beleeued, because of his owne word: 42And said vnto the woman, Now we beleeue, not because of thy saying, for we haue heard him our selues, and know that this is indeed the Christ, the Sauiour of the world.

Joh 4:40 So when the Samaritans were come. They insisted that he should tarry with them. A strange invitation for a Samaritan village to give to a Jew. It was also a strange thing for a Jewish teacher to accept the invitation.
