Then all the Disciples forsooke him, and fled: 57¶ And they that had laid hold on Iesus, led him away to Caiaphas the high Priest, where the Scribes and the Elders were assembled. 58But Peter followed him afarre off, vnto the high Priests palace, and went in, and sate with the seruants to see the end. 59Now the chiefe Priests and Elders, and all the councell, sought false witnesse against Iesus to put him to death, 60But found none: yea, though many false witnesses came, yet found they none. Mt 26:58 Peter followed him . . . to the high priest's palace. The enclosed area, open to the sky, around which the palace was constructed, was called the court. The building extended all around this.
