9Thou shalt breake them with a rod of iron, thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potters vessell. 10Bee wise now therefore, O yee Kings: be instructed ye Iudges of the earth. 11Serue the Lord with feare, and reioyce with trembling. 12Kisse the Sonne lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little: Blessed are all they that put their trust in him.

2:11 Fear - With an awful sense of his great and glorious majesty. Rejoice - Do not esteem his yoke your dishonour and grievance; but rejoice in this inestimable grace and benefit. Trembling - This is added to warn them of taking heed that they do not turn this grace of God into wantonness.
