This is a great concern Adam! I'm glad you brought this up.

This is definitely a big issue, and I believe it needs to be discussed often by the Church!

I've spoken on this often in Church.

There was different views and opinions discussing this.

I took the approach on how Homosexuality came into the world using Romans 1:18-32 and focused on it being a RESULT OF DEPARTURE and fruitlessnes using Ezekiel 16:43. ( especially notice verses 48 and 50 ) This is where people were pierced!

You have to know the cause of something before you react to it. This gets to the base of the rapidly growing fire and place a whole nation at blame instead of the splitting parties. This agenda is wrong so one would wonder how did such a thing enter the governing of a nation that is supposedly God led?

We have articles written down by the nation forefathers that seemed to be inspired by the Bible and we're proud of them.

The question is were they ever performed?

The law in the Bible was written IN STONE BY GOD HIMSELF

AND NEVER AMENDED. The Jews was proud of it but never could obtain them and it condemned them as well as us.

We have the declaration of Independence, the Constitution outlined how this government would function. Yet the constitution has been amended 27 times.

We continue to change how we constitute the governing!

Our written articles is used as a indictment against us.

GODS LAW HAS TO BE WRITTEN IN MANS HEART!

Sadly that inward Governing you won't see geographically until the Millennium reign of Christ.

But there is nation sojourning here now that is governed by the Lord and that is "HIS" Church.

"True believers who worship in truth and Spirit."

2 Chronicles 7:14. Was written to Israel but I believe we should consider for clarity.

If my people, which are called by my name, shall HUMBLE THEMSELVES, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

    God bless.

First of all, it's (LGBT +++) really is a sin of the flesh, sin of lust and of perversion. No, the public/private schools that teach this (which has become standard in most North American countries...excluding Mexico which still considers this agenda as hostile for school systems).

Two options I see: Allow them to have friends and community within the school system (extra curricular activities) -- possibly arrange for them to attend part-time or ask the school board if your child my be exhempt from such courses that encourage this.

The other option is home schooling.

Overall, as we're in the last days -- I see that it only appears to be getting worse. I remember the words of the apostle James regarding the sin of perversion...

    James Chapter 1

"But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death."

Blessings to all through our lord and savior Jesus Christ.

I have accepted our divine lord as my father of all my existence. I am studying the Bible and getting to be closer to my Father Abba through his teaching.

I have read this chapter and would like to know what it is meant by circumcising? What motions or act is done when a person is being circumcised spiritually?

I'm so thankful that God loves us all the way he does. I'm oftentimes troubled by the inhumanity I see in the world and around me. Yet the WORD so easily comforts me.

I am saved and redeemed by our Lord and Savior Jesus sacrifice. Allowing himself to be crucified for us i have eternal life. His blood is the remittance for our sin Praise God. I was crushed on February 16 1983 ironically ash Wednesday, by a semi tractor trailer. I have lost now, my right kidney to small cell carcinoma and I'm often in tremendous pain. My left kidney has a mass on it now... I am hopeful that you will pray for me and keep me in your prayers. I know the power of prayer this is why i ask you to kindly KEEP me in your prayers. If I don't see you here on earth I'll certainly see you in Heaven. My favorite psalm is 145 I'm so thankful for them all but this one feels like it was written just for me. I was ran over bodily at 18 years of age a 40 thousand pound vehicle passed over my body from my knees to my upper chest. Four days shy of seven months I spent in the hospital. God spared my life and my tragedy gave me an outlook a thankfulness for this life, thankful for our gifts and abilities I should say that most will never know. It enriched my life because I got to see and experience a life, understanding that most in this lifetime will never know. I'm 58 now and arthriticaly I'm unraveling bodily also. I have loved God our Heavenly FATHER and thanked HIM always for all things. I have been blessed to see through different lenses after being crushed. A vision that allowed me to see things, to see such wonderful value in the wondrous things most men easily overlook. I pray that ALL MANKIND find their happiness in one another, their families and our simple needs being satisfied. ALL GLORY BE TO GOD OUR HEAVENLY FATHER. AMEN Isaiah 41:10

The word of God says train up a child in they should go , And even when they are old they will not depart from it. The world is blind to the things of God and its our responsibility to speak life....our children should be taught to seek God's wisdom and will for their lives, gifts, abilities and talents.
  • Beverly - In Reply - 2 years ago
It's very difficult, but as a parent and grandparents, it's our responsibility to teach our children truth and protect them from the lies and wickedness. I homeschool our boys. They learn the things that education is "suppose " to teach. They also play sports of their choice, they are active in their church groups. They are protected by their parents, by the way it is our responsibility.. and they still enjoy the things they like to do. Marylyn Mason- a Satanic musician said, " if parents will not train your child; I will".

Spend quality and meaningful time with your children. They are living in a wicked time, that's very stressful for them. Show love, show that they matter. Even if it doesn't seem in some cases they don't care, they are. Listen! Watch! Be an active parent in their life. When they are grown then, you get to live your life. Until then, enjoy and be the caring ( not passive; but patient parent) there is a difference. Give grace and hope. We all need it.

It's come to my attention that school teachers are increasingly pushing their worldly ideals on our impressionable children, such as pressuring them to experiment with different gender identities and pushing lgbt propaganda. This is greatly disturbing to me and I'm having a hard time restraining my frustration due to this evil being allowed to openly operate and harm these vulnerable kids in what is supposed to be a safe place for them.

I am seeking any Biblical advice on how we should conduct ourselves. Should Christians be pacifists and turn the other cheek or do we have a responsibility to push back in some manner that would be pleasing to God?

Entering into the kingdom, is as a passage that requires time. A time of faith, in the things of God. So, you ask , what are the things of God? It is the inheritance we have been given, through God the Father son, the Christ the Savior of the worlds!

Some may never believe, and shall never enter into the kingdom!

It is impossible without the Son!

You must believe that He is, and a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him!

The wind blows, and you hear the sound, but cannot tell where it comes from and where it goes! Such are those who are born of the Spirit of God. This is the Spirit that guides the feet, the tone, the hearing and the speaking. Watch and you shall see, How the Spirit moves in those who love the Son! Remember it comes not with observation!

    The Gospel of John

"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

The same was in the beginning with God.

All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

In him was life; and the life was the light of men.

And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.

There was a man sent from God, whose name was John.

The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe.

He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light.

That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.

He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.

He came unto his own, and his own received him not.

But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

John bare witness of him, and cried, saying, This was he of whom I spake, He that cometh after me is preferred before me: for he was before me.

And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace.

For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.

No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him."

Good morning. Have a blessed day.

Thanks again, GiGi. You have shared more thoroughly & insightfully than I ever could on this matter - things which I have little knowledge nor considered too deeply. And yes, I can see how some Churches, dabbling in unbiblical practices to attain that higher level of spiritual experience & God consciousness, would actually lead believers away from the Word, trusting in their feelings & experiences, as a gauge to spiritual living & growth. May God's Spirit move mightily in His Church to expose errors & bring the saints back onto the 'old paths' - only around the Word & leading of the true Spirit.

    Dear Neville.

There are many different beliefs amongs christians about the Baptism of the Holly Spirit.

The ones i am aware of are the following.

    1. When one believes in Jesus.

    2. When one is born again by God.

    3. When one is baptised in water.

    4. When one asks God for receiving the Holly Spirit.

and maybe 5. When a minister lays hands on a believer. For some this can be included in case no. 4.

It is a topic we should talk about sometime here on this site.

Correct, Chris. Jesus had control of what He chose and could do in this situation. But those who put Him to death were allowed by the Godhead to exercise their own free will to do this evil to Jesus.

    ...continued

their minds and opens them up for evil influences. Most people in the generations now alive have been exposed to and desensitized by occultic practices in movies, t.v. shows, books, work trainings, schools, etc. so that they do not recognize it for what it is anymore nor do red flags go off in their consciouses warning them to not partake. I think, more than ever before, we do need to be wary of the draw of such exposures. We should be learning to be content with the life God has carved out for us in this life and keep busy with what pleases the Lord and avoid large chunks of idle time.

But, as you said, Chris, what I was describing for myself is not along these lines of dabbling in occultic and pagan practices. I was describing how I can use the name of YHWH when I am concentrating on breathing to relieve effects of asthmatic reactions because I do need God's help and breathing with His name helps me to keep my trust in Him knowing that he will help me and bring me through the asthma attack.

"He will keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on thee."

    Agreed Chris,

We should avoid mystical practices that are being touted in some churches today as a means to draw nearer to God and be unified with Him. We already are unified with Christ upon our conversion. We do not need to exercise mystical disciplines in an effort to gain an "experience with God". The pagan religions teach this type of religious actions. We should not adopt their practices even if we rename them and "christianized" them. Many of the mystical practices were employed by monks who were isolated from the rest of the world in a monastery without a need to work for a salary and supply for their families (as they had none). They had lots of time on their hands to "experiment" with many things they may think up to do to come in closer contact with God.

My feeling is that the monastic life is not the life God made us to live. We were made to marry and have children which would necessarily engage us in the everyday tasks of earning a living, caring for our children, upkeeping our homes, fellowshipping with neighbors, extended family and Christians we know. Over the centuries, people were far too busy with these things to escape in the ways the monks did.

I think that in today's society, with so much leisure time, we, more than any other time in history, have too much time available to use up and many, being weary of the everyday and mundaneness of life seek deeper spiritual experiences in the wrong ways.

We are hearing about churches involved with "centering" prayer, labyrinth walking, yoga, mindfulness, contemplative practices, SOZO, "Destiny" card (tarot) readings, along with more frenzied "worship" being whipped up by the workings of the music team.

People have "itching ears" and "ants in their pants" being desirous to experience the next "new" thing in worship and Christian fellowship. Many are trying out practices that come from the eastern religions of Hinduism and Buddhism, etc. Many are experimenting in types of meditation ....

    1st John 5:6-9

This is he that came by water and blood, even Jesus Christ; not by water only, but by water and blood.

And it is the Spirit that beareth witness, because the Spirit is truth.

For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.

And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood, and these three agree in one.

If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater: for this is the witness of God which he hath testified of his son.
  • Doug - In Reply - 2 years ago
Jesse, I do think water could have some role in the remission of sins. I don't claim to understand it all, but out of Jesus side flowed blood and water. John 19:34 But one of the soldiers with a spear pierced his side, and forthwith came there out blood and water. 1 John 5:6 This is he that came by water and blood, even Jesus Christ; not by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit that beareth witness, because the Spirit is truth.

Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

    1peter 3: 20-21

8 souls were saved by water.

The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Romans 6:3-8, Know ye not that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?

Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in the newness of life.

For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:

Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.

For he that is dead is freed from sin.

Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him.

    Also

    Mark 16:16-17

    Colossians 2:11-12

Also in the old testament the parting of the red sea was a type of baptism.

Peter said be baptized for the remission of sins.

In the book of Acts all were water baptized in the name of Jesus Christ /unto the Lord.

Thanks GiGi. I can understand the point you're making with this - specifically by your personal application, calling upon the Name of the LORD in times of stress or distress.

I can appreciate what you've shared but not as some might believe: in that mystical manner of trying to invoke the divine through physical exercises of engaging an altered state of mind & conscience to get in touch with the spiritual realm. Christians should be aware of this & to be always "girding up the loins of their minds", fully in control of mind & body in our presence before God, in Christ.

    Romans 8:9

"Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his"

Acts 8:15-17 seems to suggest that it is possible

to believe and not have the Spirit?

    So how does one:

a.determine whether this critical status has been achieved?

b.And if it is pending, what is the mechanism for the attainment of that status?
  • Margaret Hall on Luke 22:18 - 2 years ago
This is medically possible if one is under great mental duress. When this happens it causes the capillaries to open up and you sweat blood. You have to remember his father was showing him what he was going to go through. Jesus's death had to be of his own freewill. That is why he asked his father " to take this cup from me, not my will but thine be done" . Jesus was so tortured that he was unrecognizable as a man. We read this in psalm 22 which describes his crucifixion. He says I am no more a man I am a worm. This worm that he refers to was used to dye clothes scarlet. He was so beaten for 24 hours that he was unrecognizable. This is why that had to get one Simon of Cyrene to carry his cross. You have to read all the gospels to price together and get a full picture of his crucifixion. I hope this helps, and may God bless you in your thirst for knowledge and understanding.
  • Chris - In Reply on Romans 8 - 2 years ago
In very Truth GiGi; Jesus had the power & authority over both His time of death & of those who would take His Life. Yet, there would be some who would argue, 'if that were the case, then God would have no warrant against those who were involved in His Son's death as this was God's Plan & these men merely fulfilled it.'

I feel that if God compelled men towards an act (good or bad), or they were merely puppets in His Hands, then that could be true. But men, out of their own wicked hearts & schemes, remain fully guilty for their actions in spite of God's Plans & Foreknowledge of their actions. Thank you.
