The statement you have made has some truths and some false . I fear your mixing scripture truths with your false interpretation. We must be very careful when ministering, not to give false statements.

With all my heart I would advise everyone to stop listening to the words and interpretation of man, Trust and seek god, Pray and study his word for yourself.

If you truly desire him and seek him out he will draw close to you and reveal the truth of his word to you.

This is why he sent the comforter (Holy ghost)back after he (Jesus) ascended to heaven.

To teach you , guide you help you in all ways.

    To show you his truth.

When we recieve the baptism of the Holy ghost , we are no longer under the teaching of men.

But we are taught by the Holy ghost (spirit of God)

Please don't put your trust in man. Put your trust in god and he will teach you.

Also , you dont have to believe what I have written. I would prefer that you search out for yourselves

what I have said , and if it lines up with the scriptures .

I pray the lords peace and grace

    Be upon you always.

My comment is this, if one dies in sin, there are no more chances.

Today is the day of salvation.Without faith it is impossible to please God. We walk by faith, not by sight. You get close to God by having faith. Without faith, you will not make it.

I will say this, if you are not saved after you die, there are no more chances.

Many people are living in error in reading the bible.

Paul is talking to the saved people/churches that came from the book of Acts.

The epistles are not written to the world.

  • Adam - In Reply on Genesis 4 - 1 year ago
Eve had freewill and choose to sin and she did to be "like God." Maybe Adam wasn't even around initially.

Today, people try to tempt or convince others they too can be "like God" and some even assume they are a god, or the God. Obviously this comes from satan as he is very skilled at deceiving, including Christians. Emulating the character of Jesus and walking in His footsteps is very different than someone claiming the other self centered special powers- almost like a form of self worship, and separates someone from the one true God, what satan wants.

    Wisdom for the coming days.

We have a basic exhortation as a people to be the "head" instead of the "tail" (see Deut. 28:13). As a church; we should be willing to support the brethren especially when we can see trouble coming as we see in Acts 2:45 similar to what was predicted by Agabus in Acts 11:28. Wisdom is something the Lord will give us if we ask ( James 1:5). That may apply currently to extracting finances or money from risky investments or bank accounts to have some on hand; to have emergency food supplies and a generator at hand; precious metals for trade; etc.

Our political leaders are not to be worshipped either (I am leaving names out here). There is enough at fault in both sides of the political spectrum. Whether it is possible at this point for anyone of integrity to lead our nation and for that person to win the party nomination (again no names here) is something I am not placing any bets on. Proverbs 16:18 warns us that pride comes before a fall; and certainly there is enough of that to go around. People hear what they want to hear; but those of the house of the living God will hear His voice ( John 10:27). When we hold on to this life too much; we forget that we are "seated in heavenly places" ( Eph. 2:6). That is a present state; but our future hope in glory is brought forth by natural death or martyrdom. I am convinced that we would never see the harvest of innumerable saints ( Rev. 7:9) if the 5th seal event and later killings of the Antichrist for not taking the Mark were not instituted. Apparently; "tribulum" means a threshing board using in harvest for separation purposes. Satan will be used as God's instrument to finally bring the wheat to fruition in the heat of the fires of that trial ( Rev. 3:10). As for now we should heed to the admonition of the very next verse as rewards can and will be lost for those who don't remain patient and are distracted by things of this world today. May we keep our eyes on Him.

    Agape.

    Dear Jewel.

I am sorry that you are going through so much hardship. Keep your eyes upon Jesus, the Author and Finisher of your faith. Pray without ceasing. When you are in pain and cry out to God, intercede also for others who are suffering in this world. Also, Take into account all of your blessings you do enjoy each day. Keep in the Word and pray for the Holy Spirit to feed you through it and guide you.
  • GiGi - In Reply on Genesis 4 - 1 year ago
Yes, Jewel, for mankind, This is where sin started. Romans 5:12-15

But even before the sin of Adam and Eve, Satan sinned before God and so did the angels that followed after him. So, sin originated in Satan. But we each choose to sin due to our sinful nature.

God will accept a baptism in "Jesus Christ", in "Jesus Name", in the "Father, Son, Holy Spirit", in "Christ our Lord Jesus", etc. Our Father in heaven is not going to refuse His child's obedience because they missed a word or didn't phrase something just so so. Jesus Christ and in Jesus name is the same thing....it's Jesus. Hope that helps...God bless

Why did Adam allow Eve to eat from the tree of life when God told Adam he could eat from any tree but that and he did it anyway with Eve, is this when sin started?

    Hello JRR

When Abel was murdered, Cain was left. He went in a rebellious direction against God. When Seth was born, God blessed him and his descendants as God determined that it was through the lineage of Seth that the Savior of Gen. 3:15 would come. Although there is a short account of Cain's lineage. His lineage ended in the flood along with the lineage of any other sons born to Adam after Seth.

The point of giving the lineages in the Bible is to document the Messianic lineage from Adam to Jesus. It is through the lineage of Seth that the Savior would be born. Noah was a descendant of Seth and only Noah and his family survived the flood to repopulate the earth.

There are accounts of the lineages of Noah's three sons, Shem, Japheth, and Ham in Genesis 10, but after that, the Bible focuses on the lineage of Shem and then narrows down to the lineage of Abraham through Isaac, though Abraham had 7 other sons. The focus is then on Jacon, not Esau. And then on the 12 sons of Jacob.

Then we come to the line of Judah, from which King David was born. David had many sons from many wives. But Solomon is singled out. So we have a narrow focus on genealogy in the Bible because it is to show the human lineage of Jesus to show that He is from the tribe of Abraham, through Judah, which qualifies Him to be the Messiah as an Israelite.

JRR Thats a good question. Abel was the son of Adam but he was killed by Cain so he had no children, Abel had no descendants that's why he's not mentioned. Cain was not the son of Adam, he was the son of the wicked one, the devil. ( 1 Jn 3:12) and ( Jn 8:44) In ( Gen 3:15-16) v15 God tells the serpent He will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy (seed),(speaking to the serpent) and the womans seed,. The word (seed) in Hebrew is #2233; it means fruit, sowing-time, posterity, carnally, child, to disseminate, plant, fructify, bear, conceive seed. The word (seed) in Greek is #4690; it means something sown, seed including male "sperm" by implying offspring. v16 God tells the woman He will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception. The word (conception) is #2032; it means pregnancy, to be (or become) pregnant, conceive, be with child, progenitor. If God multiplies her sorrow and her conception, that would mean she would be having twins.

GiGi You are very wise. We do all fail at times but if Scripture is provided which proves something, or someone to be wrong in what they believe in, then its hard to be understanding and say someone failed, for many people I think pride stands in the way of them changing anything about what they believe. But I pray maybe some have seen that truth and that its working in them right now. Many people are learning a lot in this group from you GiGi. including me. It would not be the same if you were not in it. And I will continue to practice keeping a "cool" head during discussions, Thank you for that. The honour is mine GiGi. God Bless you.

Who is the brethren in ( Eph 6:10)? Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. ( Eph 6:11-12) Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to (stand) against the (wiles) of the devil. The word (stand) is #2476; it means to stand, abide, continue. (The word (wiles) is #3180; it means "method" travelling over, i.e. travesty (trickery) wile, lie in wait. These brethren are told to stand or continue against the trickery of the devil. When is the devil cast to the earth? During great tribulation! v12 Tells us "For ((we)) wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Do you think the ((we)) Paul is speaking of in this verse is non-believers that are wrestling against all these evil forces? I don't think so either! ( Eph 6:13-14) Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to (withstand) in the (evil) day, and having done all, to stand. The word (withstand) is #436; it means to stand against, i.e. oppose, resist. Do you think Paul is telling non-believers to stand against and oppose, resist the devil in the evil day? I don't think so either! The word (evil) is #4190; it means hurtful i.e. evil, properly in effect or influence, calamitous, diseased, vicious, the devil, grevious, wicked (-ness). This evil day would no doubt be great tribulation when the devil will be in power over the world. ( Eph 6:15-17) v16 Tells us to take the shield of faith, so we can quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. Would Paul be telling non-believers to take the shield of faith to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked? I don't think so either! v17 Tells us to take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. These verses are spoken to the ((brethren, Believers in Christ)), and they tell us its the evil day which is the time of the devil, great tribulation! Blessings

GiGi thank you for your response. It really means a lot to have someone else in this group who sees the truth in this and is willing to speak up for that truth, and post that truth. Even though it seems we are living in a world where ( 2 Thessalonians 2:11) is already be fulfilled. If one is shown the truth today in Scripture and they don't see that truth, are those people only being deceived, or are they deceiving others with the intent to deceive them? We honestly have no way to know that today as another verse you posted clearly says, ( Matthew 7:14) Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are (ravening) wolves. The word (ravening) is #727; from 726; it means rapacious, extortion, (726) shows us the pre-trib rapture word (harpazo) it means to seize, catch (away, up) pluck, pull, take (by force) It seems very telling to me that the verse talking about false prophets who come in sheep's clothing but inwardly are ravening wolves is connected to the pre-trib rapture word in Greek (harpazo) I like the verse you posted, ( 1 Tim 4:16) I also like ( 2 Tim 4:2-4) v2 Tells us to "Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and doctrine". v4 "For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine;." It would seem all those verses are being fulfilled now, or being played out for this time period today. You are right again GiGi, we should speak the truth in love, and pray for those who do not see the truth, or will not receive the truth. Stay Strong in your Faith, and in the Truth of the Word of God! God Bless you GiGi. And again I truly thank for your response to this post.

  • ItIsWritten - In Reply on Genesis 1 - 1 year ago
Thousands of years before you, there was a man called Job, and he essentially asked an even tougher version of the same question; that's essentially what Job chapter 3 through chapter 37 is all about.

When Job had finished asking the same questions you are asking, do you know how the LORD began His answer to Job? "Who is this that darkeneth counsel BY WORDS WITHOUT KNOWLEDGE?"

    - Job 38:2

And again, "Shall he that contendeth with the Almighty instruct him? He that reproveth God, let him answer it."

    - Job 40:2

Do you know what Job realized after the LORD was done? " . . . Therefore have I uttered that I understood not; things too wonderful for me, which I knew not."

    - Job 42:3

To your question, there will be no greater than what the Scriptures have given in the book of Job.

I suggest you read the entire book of Job.
  • S Spencer - 1 year ago
    Amen Brother Jesse.

    Thanks for the reply!

I remember when I would answer everything when in a debate.

Most was friendly but a few wasn't.

I've learned to discern when a post is going to go south by the way the question or statement is given.

Now I just don't read them because I know myself!!

If I engage it's hard to disengage!

If I read it and it's something I disagree with that has suddenly become personal to keep from being tempted to respond I just don't read it, Especially if it's been dealt with.

When I'm contacted directly by a person I read the first line or two and when I see it's going right back down that road, I leave off there from reading.

This is nothing new from me.

Once you say you don't won't to discuss soteriology when asked, I don't have no interest in engaging.

For that it was said I was being disrespectful.

Brother Jesse this don't bother me at all.

If nothing else it's a lesson in itself and clarity in what we talk about often. fruitfulness. Everything will manifest itself.

It's not how busy you are, It's who's energizing the work. He that is energizing you will manifest himself through you whether it be God or Satan.

By the way me and my wife is going out of the country on vacation tomorrow so I will be out of reach for a week.

God bless you and all you do.
