To Stan the bible was put together, ultimately as we have it today, by people in the times and places to admit certain writings as scripture and reject others. Many of these writings help to fill in the blanks the several versions of the Book of Enoch, for example. Enoch was so righteous that God "took him ", but we have nothing in scripture about this most righteous man until he is quoted by Jude thousands of years later. Who authorized these redactors to edit all these writings and how do we know they got it right every time? And why aren 't we authorized to search everywhere we can to answer "missing link " questions that have baffled the "learned " since Old Testament times?

  • Lea on Song of Solomon 5 - 11 years ago
A beautiful chapter. The first part is kind of sad, like the daily struggles we may have in being obedient to the Lord because of our human nature, ever find yourself guilty of feeling that what God has asked you to do is an inconvenience instead of jumping for joy that he is calling to you, wanting to be near you, have fellowship with you? Ah.. good ole human nature gets in the way, but later the bride recognizes that she has neglected the bride groom. This whole chapter is such a beautiful picture of the relationship of the bride and bridegroom. So they ask her, "what is your beloved or how is he any greater than another? " and then the verses that describe him.. He is white and ruddy purity. His head fine gold Godly thoughts, pure thoughts and the head that bore the crown of thorns. Eyes of a dove, "He beheld them as sheep with no shepherd " tender eyes full of mercy. Cheeks of spices. Jesus was smitten on the cheek and he retaliated with kindness and mercy. His hands with rings.. Back in the day the rings that sealed documents or the giving of life to someone or their death sentence was the signet ring.. The ring was to attest the authority of its bearer. This is our King and we understand that he will be just and fair and kind. His mouth, "Does a fountain send forth at the same time sweet and bitter water " Jesus was certainly never so wishy washy because he was so completely full of the spirit. It 's a perfect image of our Savior and its easy to see why he is so far above anything or anyone else to us

  • Scarlet on Revelation 7 - 11 years ago
The reason why 144,000 people are going to be saved is because first they have repented and accepted Jesus as their Lord and Savior. Second, these people didn 't go back to their sinful ways and followed God 's commandments. How many people has done just that? Third is the materialistic wealth. Please read what Jesus said about material wealth. Just because people are Christians that does not mean we have followed Jesus instructions in the Bible. It is a challenge for people living in what we call as modern times. God 's promise is always there. It is simply up to us to either become people of this world or become God 's people. God has already sent all his prophets to guide us and warn us.

  • Jim on Revelation 14 - 11 years ago
Rev 14 is chronological. You find events listed. In the order they happen. The 1st fruits are faultless and appear before the throne of GOD where angels harps the lamb are Rev 6. They are taken to GOD before the judgement vs 7. Then other events happen in order. You have angels coming in numerical order. You can 't have a 2nd before the 1st. Watch what happens. 1st angel preaches the gospel. Then the judgement and Mystry Babylon is fallen. Then 3rd angel vs 9 mark of beast. Vs 12 and 13 Christians and Jews slaughtered. Vs 14 and 15 Jesus comes on a cloud and redeems from the earth in a harvest. Now that GOD 'S saints are gone the trumpets start blowing the wrath of GOD vs 19 Compare this with Mat 24 and it fits perfectly. You will find Math 24 stops at the harvest and does not describe the grapes of wrath for the are reserved for that Antichrist. People do not want to believe this but it is here in black and white. He that has ears to hear let him hear. Since this is in numerical order of events please show me where the pre trib rapture occurs in Rev 14. I would really like to believe it. If the 144000 are first fruits we must be 2nd fruits but where are the 2nd fruits in scripture. If G GOD declared them the 1st how can we be before the 1st. I really can 't answer this question can you?

  • Ekun Adekunle on 1 Corinthians 14:34 - 11 years ago
That a man has a loud voice, sweet words etc does not concern God where he has spoken. It is either you are the scriptures or a hypocrite. "let your women keep silence in the churches ". What is hard in this? Simple English. But the pride and foolishness of man has led to various arguments. Those wrest the word of God will be destroyed. This is no joke. They are false prophets

I have been studying Jesus, ible for the past two weeks anddemise, red on this page. I am going to agree with the person who stated we are not to ponder on the demise who is gone. I lost my mom last year and if someone else feels like me I made it a habit to speak to my mom daily, but the LORD is my first preference for the day. I will remember from now on you should not pray to the demise, not sure about speaking or telling how much you Miss them? Me as well love Christ Jesus my Heavenly Father!

  • Ron on Leviticus 19:28 - 11 years ago
God has given us free will. God has given us his word and his Spirit to discern. We can start in Genesis and see where God says, "let us create man in our image. " I have a difficult time convincing myself the Godhead has brightly colored markings with different sayings, phrases, or pictures. Some will argue that Lev 19 28 is in the Old Testament so it doesn 't matter. We must then take into consieration that Pastors are accountable to teach the whole counsel of God. Now if we want to move forward to the New Testament we must take into consideration that the Bible tells us our bodies are the the temple of the Holy Spirit. 19 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? 20 For ye are bought with a price therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God 's. I believe if God wanted us to have tattoos he could certainly have addressed that at creation. The Bible teaches us separation, christians are in the world but not of the world. We are to live and act differently than the world. We are to be different to make a differnce. The world viewpoints and standards due not match up and are not in agreement with God 's viewpoint and standards. If an individual has gotten tattoos prior to salvation and did not have biblical knowledge and understanding so be it. I do not understand why a Bible believing Christian who possess Bible knowledge and understanding would consider the thought. I guess the bottom line is we all have free will and the Spirit of God to discern what is God honoring and that which is not.
  • Joseph Inzirillo on Psalms 91:11 - 11 years ago
This is important to me. When I was 22, I had a mystical experience that I will never forget. Some things were reveled to me, but after two days, I did bang my foot against a dresser and lost the inner light. Am I now doomed?
