This is a reminder of sabbath keeping. God is specific in telling us to keep the seventh day, as day of rest just as he rested from his work. And that we should do the same. Verse 6, some done enter this rest, instead they work and on worldly labor because of unbelief. Verse 11, Emphasizing we have to labor to get that rest, like in verse 10 as God did. And don 't be like those who heard yet don "t believe. I thank God for the sabbath

I believe that the rest spoken in this text is a be still and know that I am God reference. Many are the affliction of the righteous but the Lord delivers,after the deliverance comes rest peace, this is a theme in the word. We are gentiles united by faith this makes us the people of God and entitled this rest after endurance as a good solider

I understand that from the creation of the world God desired that we would find rest in him. That he would be our God and we would be his people. What is man the God would be mindful of him. And even from the time of creation God has thought of man. He desired to give man rest in knowing him. His loving kindness endures from generation to generation. Some have not entered into his rest because they do not believe in the only begotten Son of God. But those who do enter into his rest cease from their own works. Jesus is the creator of all things and all things seen by him. Nothing that was made was made without him, All things were made by him. Jesus was ordained by God to be the mediator between God the Father and us. Jesus wants us to come boldly before his throne.

Indeed even John 1.1-3 states that The Word is God...., John 1.14 continues that the Word became flesh and we saw His glory.Also The Word of Christ must dwell richly among us.... Colossians 3.15 ,then 2 Timothy 3.16-18 talks of the Scriptures as inspired....

The more I kept on meditating upon this verse HEB 4:12 the more I had a vivid solid and tangible experience. Consequently I felt life moving back and forth in the bones of my both arms and was literirally crashing my inner bone marrow of the arms. I then totally got healed from the terminal illness I had. This happened some 19 years ago when I was just coming to the lord.This brought full and total devine health to my life.

GEN 1-4-16...Dewey, I seen what you posted in Rev 22, and I already responded to that. First about the trinity doctrine. It is not scriptural and in man 's mind it is like putting God in a straight jacket, it is no different than man can think or assume he has power to change God 's Holy Sabbath it is blasphemy. You are in defiance of God 's Law, so that would put you in league with the enemy of God, we do not have the mental, physical, theological neuron firing intelligence, or ecclesiastical power or otherwise to question debate, order, impose, restrict or legitimize any doctrine that is not biblical, God operates how and when He sees fit in any and all manners totally within His abilities, which I believe is limitless, He does not need anybody to question or try to assert somekind of supreme authority over Him. Who is man that we can assume such high mindedness or arrogance into the going on in GOD 's Kingdom. I am going to leave you with this scripture in Hebrews 4:8... For if Jesus had given them rest, then would he not afterward have spoken of another day. This confirms there is no other day established as the Sabbath, it remains Saturday the 7th day. GOD DOES NOT CHANGE. I pray God opens your eyes to the truth and any one else that has the eyes to see or ears to hear. PRAISE GOD AND PRAISE HIS SON. THE END IS NEAR. AMEN!!

I really needed this verse today . It helped me to regain my hope. I 've been burdened down with my finances and The Lord came to me with this scripture. Praise The Lord Jesus Christ!

HEB 4:28... HEB 4:1... Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it....Why would this chapter start out, "Let us therefore fear ", The Holy Spirit is sending out a warning to those who has eyes to see, and ears to hear.... PRAISE OUR HEAVENLY FATHER ON HIS DAY OF REST. PRAISE OUR HOLY SAVIOR YESHUA! AMEN!!

HEB 4-28...This chapter 4, is not talking about the eternal promised rest of heaven, the Bible doesn 't even mention an eternal promised rest of Heaven. What it is talking about, is knowledge that it far from the inhabitants of this planet. because at first Satan hid it from you, but now it 's from willful ignorance, unbelief and disobedience. This chapter four is a very short chapter, but holds the key to eternal life, a mystery hidden in the writing, It is God 's sign to His promised people. Pray for understanding of it. If you love the Lord this you will do. This chapter is talking about the 7th day Sabbath of God. It is not the first day of the week Sunday, Satan has claimed this day for himself. That 's because he wants you blind to the true Sabbath, so you will perish along with him. AMEN!!

v. 12: Make yourself prepared to recite the Word of God, for there exists nothing more powerful than His Word. To be able to quote God 's Word as directed by your heart in any circumstance, is the most powerful tool and action we have, above all else, we are given God 's Word to speak with instead of our own imperfect mumbling.

I am the worst sinner i know of. The Word of God has shown me myself. The desperate depravity of wickedness that prevents me from the glory of God 's goodness and His righteousness. The Word discerns every thought and intent, that, "every imagination of the thoughts of 'my 'heart are only evil continually. " And that, "i know that in me, that is, in my flesh, dwelleth no good thing. " And "when i would do good, evil is present with me. " The Word declares these things, not only of me myself and i, but of all mankind, born in the fallen image of Adam. And so those whom God has put His Spirit within the Witness of "the Word, which became flesh and dwelt among us, " and that Spirit is the Spirit of Christ, those blessed sinners, foreknown, predestined, called, justified, sanctified,and glorified,these possess the discernment of the Word, Christ Jesus. He who needed not that any man should tell Him anything. For He already knows what is in man.

The hearing of the word of God, we concieve in our spirit and the act of faith by doing acting the word, we give birth and that is the profiting is talked about.

I believe in this passage for his word is who he is and that is god and he see what is truly in the heart of a person we can fool him we say one thing but or heart tells him the truth and the heart is our soul and the real way to god our temple is our body we just have to be real in are faith which only god knows who we are .

God blessed and sanctified the Sabbath Gen. 2:1-3 and kept the Sabbath after the completion of creation. No other day in the Bible was blessed or sanctified by God. You will not find it through out the Bible. The Bible says in Daniel 7:25, man will think to change time and laws. Read it in its entirety. Days were not named in the Bible, they were numbered 1st day, 2nd day, 3rd day so forth and so on . Days of the week are names of pagan gods, look up how the days of the week names originated. Also Jesus rested in the tomb on the Sabbath and rose the first day of the week. Luke 24:1 Hebrews 4:1-8 speaks of entering into a rest, a rest which is the seventh-day and He never changed. Man has made Sunday the day of rest, because Jesus rose the first day of the week which they call it resurrection Sunday. This isn 't justified by the Word of God.

Indeed, the 4th commandment is more than just a day to keep holy. Researching it Scripture by Scripture, I 've discovered it to be the "seal " of God whereby we not only acknowledge God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Ghost but, also, a very real identifying characteristics of God 's people in the last days of this world.

As all GODS word has to be revealed through his spirit to ours for revelation, this one is no different. With the revelation that the six days of creation were actually ages than the seventh is an age also that we are still in. So let us enter into that rest by believing the works that CHRIST did on the cross for us and leave our labour of sinful works and do the labour of righteous works to the saving of our souls on that last day.

Sabbath means cessation, a time of rest. God wants us to rest in His finished work of Christ 's death on the cross for us and His resurrection, not argue over which day to worship. By the time Jesus taught in the streets of Galilee, the Jews had added to the law of the Sabbath, over 1000 different rules to follow. They couldn 't even save a drowning man that had accidentally fallen in a ditch. Jesus wants us to trust and obeylike little children. God wants to diligently pursue that rest. Rest in the finished work of Christ and grow in knowledge and truth. Not hurrying home to watch football after worship or worry if there will be room in the restaurant for our meal out. We go, go, go and go some more. God wants us to worship, adore Him. And rest in Him. " There remaineth therefore, a rest to the people of God. Let us labor therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief. " Hebrews 4:9,11. The Israelites could not enter the Promised Land because of their unbelief. There have been a lot of martyrs who died as Christians who did not worship on Saturday that will be in Heaven someday.
