The word Angel means messenger. Jesus is The Angel of the Lord, the Angel in revelation is a man, but Angels are also heavenly ministers to God. They are many different types of heavenly angels: seraphim, cherubims, and even a type of angel thats a woman with the legs of a stork Isaiah, Ezekiel . Keep in mind angel means messenger so technically anyome that God sends with a message is an angel.

Rev 22:9 Then saith he unto me, See thou do it not: for I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren the prophets, and of them which keep the sayings of this book: worship God. The Angel declared that he was "of his brethren the prophets, and of them which keep the sayings of this book". So the Angel was one of the prophets, and one of us, a son of God.

Son of man in the Bible does not refer to angels..Do a search with this site King James Bible online by typing in son of man, there are 206 instances that come up and not one of them refers to son of man as being an angel. Do the same for the word angels, there are 92 instances and not one will be referred to as a human being. Fellowservant is someone whom you work with. God Bless....

Angels are men, it says so plainly. Remember when the Lord and two Angels appeared to Abraham? It said they were three men.

Yes I know what Adam said. Nor would I argue about what Adam said, but I will simply say that the Bible says they were men, and the Angel in the Revelation said he was "of his brethren", meaning one of the brothers. He has made you a spirit no? From what I read the prophets were the angels. He spoke to us in old time by the prophets angels , but in these last days by his Son. Then the comparison.

From reading the Bible I believe that angels are not people, but they can be disguised as people Hebrews 13:2. Likewise, Jesus appeared as a man, but that doesn't mean he wasn't God. Genesis 18:2 actually doesn't say they're angels either, but in Gen 19. Could be written from the perspective of them being 'men' to show that no one know they were angels.

I don't think I ever read a place where it says they were disguised as men, but actually were men. Read the beginning of Hebrews, if you have an open ear to what I'm telling you, and what the Scriptures say about Angels, you'll see that the Angels are prophets. See Hebrews 1-7. Now, we may say that the Angels are spirits of men, not our fleshly bodies, nevertheless men are those spirits of God.

We humans are made a little lower than the angels and Jesus came to this earth as flesh Hebrews 2:16 There is God the Father, His Son Jesus and the Holy Spirit, then there are Angels, then Man. There is a distinction between these three levels, man can have the spirit of God in him if he asks and repents of sin.Blessings, continue to study..

I'm very familiar with the mainstream doctrine, but it's wrong in my opinion. Yes Angels are ministering spirits, so are we. That which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Let's study this together.

Jerry, did you read Hebrews 13:2 ? Because I wrote angels 'can be disguised as people' as Hebrews 13:2 clearly says, but you then respond by saying "I don't think I ever read a place where it says they were disguised as men". But Hebrews 13:2 literally says angels can be disguised as people, do you agree? So, given that why do automatically you rule that out as a possibility in Genesis 18:2?

Adam, it literally does not say that. It simply says some have entertained angels unawares. In other words, be careful how you treat people you don't know, because they could be sent of God to you for your good. Nothing about disguises talked about there.

To me it says exactly that. If angels are on earth and people interact with them not realizing they're angels, to me it's 100 clear that they look like people. What else would they look like other than a human being for someone to talk with them and not realize they're an angel? There's also other verses supporting that, but I'll end our discussion here.

Jerry: My opinion does not matter when it comes to the Holy Bible, I study like Isaiah 28:10 says, For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept line upon line, line upon line here a little, and there a little. The reason so many people interpret the Bible differently is because they give personal opinions instead of really studying the Bible from Genesis to Revelation.
