Indeed, we cannot see Jesus without revelation granted of God in Christ Jesus. How critical to the life of the just and their faith-walk to "know" God in Christ Jesus. Our knowledge must be personal, intimate, and accurate for upon this "knowing" the quality of our warfare depends. Ephesians says to war successfully we must be able to cast down every vain imagination that exalts itself above the knowledge of (translated - what we know to be true about) God. We could not cast vain imaginations down if we believe them ... if we believe a lie about our Christ! Like, he doesn't care, he no longer heals ... you've done too much wrong ... you haven't done enough right for God to answer your prayers, to love you still, to be perfected (at His best) in your weakness. How devastating a blow such belief would be in a wrestling match with the enemy! No! I say our Lord is motivated by His great unfailing relentless love for us, so that He made a way to reconcile us to the Father BEFORE we were, and certainly BEFORE Adam sinned! Then God gave us His only Son, not as a God, but Jesus came to the earth as a son of a man so that He would "qualify" to die in our place so we could live in His - born anew by the second Adam. The Covenant sacrifice in blood, sprinkled on the altar ... the ordinances that were against us blotted out by his blood spilled for us, the debts incurred by our sin ... every one nailed to the cross in His body broken for us. Having given His ONLY Son, what would Abba Father withold - no good thing! And Jesus, having given himself - what better love is found and this while we were yet in our sin. Our opinion of Him should be just as the scriptures describe and the new testament relate. We-are-loved, protected, forgiven, reconciled, redeemed, protected, restored to sonship status in the earth - that as He (Jesus is), so are we in the earth!

Thank you Rhonda , remember the prodigal son ? If we read carefully we see that his father saw him coming back to him while he was still a long way off and he ran to meet him ! God loves us and wants us with Him , even though He knows us ! Something that I sometimes say in my prayers is , Dear Heavenly Father , please make me all Yours forever by whatever means You see fit . A great post from you , thank you .
