Why doesn't God communicate with us or talk
  • Maria - In Reply - 2 years ago
God does communicate with us through his word in the Bible. his word is alive, he says "I am the way, the truth and the life." "He who believes in me shall not perish but have everlasting life." also, he states in John 14:15 If you love, me keep my commandments.

We only have to believe in his word then we will fully understand that he is talking to us. those that seek him, he is calling them. We have to keep his commandments in our hearts " Exodus 20," then repent of all our wrongdoing, then little by little he will talk to your heart and will prepare you to fully understand his wonderful love.

Without what Jesus spoke of in John chapter 3, we cannot hear the the Holy Spirit__speaking to our newly born again, human spirit.

One other thing; we need to quiet ourselves and seek the Lord. He speaks to our spirit, through a still small voice.

This world has many devises of media and noise. The Lord does not shout. He just waits until we are quietly seeking Him; studying His Words (Bible).

When you do hear Him, you'll prefer His speaking to you, above all others. His voice gives faith, peace and calm through His Holy Spirit.

Satan's voice causes chaos, fear, and rebellion. Rebuke it in the Name of Jesus.

Amen! Very well said! We don't hear God in an audible voice but God's always talking to us through the Holy Spirit. God also speaks with actions too. As we draw closer to the end times and mankind talks less to God -- God only gets louder and very soon...everyone's going to hear.

    God does communicate with us...

Not as before with face to face communication, like with great men like Moses and Abraham and all but He does.

Your question falls in line with many others like why don't we see Him face to face, why do good people die, why do children suffer and die. The big question, why was sin allowed to appear and death and the devil and why 6000 years of turmoil, tribulation, and suffering?

The answer is, love demonstrated by faith.

We as humans have a very hard time stepping back and looking at things in a spiritual and eternal sense. We all live in the present and make assumptions about the world based on our own life. In this case step back, try as hard as you can to imagine you are God. You are omnipotent and omnipresent and full of a deep abding love you want to share. How do you create a creation that loves you back, not because you make it love you which isn't love, but because of who you are, your character. God is a father, the greatest of fathers. Even us human fathers want our children to love us for who we are, not because we buy them things, or put them through college, or put a roof over their heads. We want to be loved because we are loved. God needed to give a creation Free Will to choose, and to choose there must be a choice. We make that choice based on faith.

    Paul said in Hebrews 1:1-3

1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. 2 For by it the elders obtained a good report. 3 Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.

It is our faith in God that causes us to love Him, our faith that He is real, that His Word is true, that Jesus Christ is His Son and our Saviour. It is this love in Him that allows us to trust Him no matter what the circumstances because we Know (have faith) that He loves us.

So why don't we hear God, why doesn' He speak to us in an audible voice? Because He wants a people, chosen and elect, that have faith that He is (His character) and love Him because of faith, not His mighty works.

    He does.

1st through creation, our very breath, heartbeat, vision, taste, smell, every flower, tree, sunset, sunrise, the oxygen we breathe, every beautiful creature, every created thing. He made & gave us trust to keep it. Through HIS creation HE speaks to us. If we choose to listen. Through the seasons & sunrise, sunsets we see He is faithful. Through domestic animals we see HIS compassion. In life we see hope. All given by GOD!

2nd His WORD the Bible, is GOD speaking through HIS people, 2Timothy 3:16, to us, all that are willing to read it.

3rd GOD has spoken through HIS Prophets: Jeremiah 7:25, & HIS people

4th Through JESUS The Messiah John 3:15-16,

5th Through the HOLY Spirit that was promised by JESUS to all who believe: Ephesians 1:13, John 14:26, Luke 11:13,

Sometimes in our most difficult moments in life we want GOD to speak to us outloud. In those times we need a quiet voice of comfort, which we can find in HIS WORD, in prayer, all around creation if we seek HIM. The voice of GOD recorded in scripture is like thunder, many accounts it makes those who've heard it tremble in fear. Exodus 19:9,16,18,19, Job 37:5, Psalms 77:18, John 12:28,29,

I hope you will hear GOD more clearly

    Hopefully this is helpful
