    This verse has followed me through my birth up until the present day. Just to give some insight, I am a Japanese male that was adopted by African American parents (1953). This was during the time of the Civil Rights Era. It was trying time of extreme mistreatment by those that were misguided. The roads that I have followed have been crooked and bumpy. God has watch over me and protected me, even from myself. It is true that, Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. ( King James Bible "Authorized Version", Cambridge Edition )
