Do not do bad because as we learn in this Chapter, to do evil brings physical death and spiritual death. Instead, we must do right.
If we advance to the bottom of the king by God because of pride, as did Absalom, who are we? Very wise? No. But, if we advance to the bottom, we should not worry. We must simply learn to accept our position before God and not fight against God. But that was the Downfall of Absalom and Ahithophel. They were full of pride and they couldn't accept their situation before God which is wicked sinners.
But if we do what is right, justice and equity, we will become very great in the sight of God, even if we did something very wrong in our past. God always GIVES us second chances. We are just what God made us.
