Know one does anything, it is not I alone, it's by the Lord all things are done, so we should not pride ourselves , but thank our Father for everything, we cannot heal anyone, we do no good works unless God is in it. We are all his servants it is he who moves the mountains, Glory be to God in the highest Amen. God Bless

Tee: Kings, Philosophers, The Rich, Pharisees, People who think they are Better than Others. One Who walks around with Their Nose in The Air, Where not Chosen. He Chose The Least Likely to be Chosen: Fishermen, The Lame, The Blind, Those that are Considered Worthless( Luke 7:22)
  • Cate on 1 Corinthians 1 - 6 years ago
I think we are chosen by God not by a person of this world and we should believe in God as a child would
  • D W L on 1 Corinthians 1 - 6 years ago
Tee - Read John chapter 3: You must be born again (If you have ever been born again) you are a new creature in Christ Jesus, ( 2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new) If this don't explain what you wanted to know, these are Jesus words I can't do better.
  • Tee on 1 Corinthians 1 - 6 years ago
But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty

what does this mean in essence?
  • Jc on 1 Corinthians 1 - 6 years ago
word denomination comes from root word divided. Christ has one undivided mind. one way, not pick and choose or eeny, meeny, mine or mo.
  • Ok on 1 Corinthians 1 - 6 years ago
only the Holy Spirit can reveal truth and understanding to a person. The natural man who does not have a reconciled relationship with God or who does not have the Holy Spirit, will not be able to spiritially discern the things of God. (to carls question)
  • VLF on 1 Corinthians 1 - 6 years ago
Different denominations do not automatically equal division. Sometimes it’s about a different way of doing things. You’re mistaken if you think all Christians will ever be in perfect agreement in this life about everything. Catholics like to claim that we are all divided and can’t be the true church and yet all Catholics don’t agree on everything.

matthew 12:25 every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand." One nation UNDER GOD ?!!!!!!! Woe
  • Lm on 1 Corinthians 1 - 6 years ago
the yellow pages in my phone directory show hundreds of "denominations " same as divisions in my viewpoint. we are to put on the mind of Christ , And He has only one mind that His Holy Spirit reveals to homble, repentant, sincere seekers.
  • Lm on 1 Corinthians 1 - 6 years ago
God has told us in His unchanging Holy Scriptures that we are to study to show ourselves approved RIGHTLY dividing the word of truth. Divisions in the "Church" is a indicator that some professing christians are being misled by false teaching
  • Obbie Beal on 1 Corinthians 1 - 6 years ago
there is a division in this early congregations / church (2019 is no different) never-the-less Jesus Christ as Savior of mankind is not divided. Those 'SAVED BY THE BLOOD OF JESUS' are one body through JESUS. Men everywhere (using customary practices) love being identified by specific names, titles, groups; but in SALVATION we are One-Body and JESUS CHRIST is the HEAD, everyone-else are servants.

Jesus Christ is the wisdom and the power of GOD. Because of God we are in Christ whom God has made for us Wisdom, righteousness, sanctification and redemption. Jesus Christ is the game changer.BLESSED BE HIS NAME.AMEN.
  • Yours truly on 1 Corinthians 1 - 6 years ago
Denomination is menmade and has nothing to do with the message. We love to code other peoples codes and making it sounds like we invented them and even leveling those up to Gods Devine Word rather than just sharing the word out of love, rebuke, and chastisement. It creates all kinds of disasters and confusion. That is not of God. Miserable, blind, and Naked!
  • Vanessa on 1 Corinthians 1 - 6 years ago
When we pray to the Father do we not do it in the name of Jesus Christ, when we seek for our salvation is it not through Jesus Christ, is he not the only way to the Father? Christ sits on the judgement seat and only he, he hung on the cross for us sinners, know him for he is the way the truth and the life, praise the Lord Amen
  • Lilian on 1 Corinthians 1 - 6 years ago
We will walk by faith and not by sight God is good all the time He loves us the sinners but he hates sin that can destroy our life but by the blood of Jesus shed for us we are now redeemed and pardoned praise you Jesus amen
  • Whitney Reese on 1 Corinthians 1 - 6 years ago
1st Corinthians is one of my favorite books. Troubles in the church and disunity and contentions are still to this day a problem in many churches. I believe that 3/4 of our problems in the churche is pride and poor leadership in the community and church. Paul very plainly states that carnality is part of the problem. Thinking and walking in the spirit is something we need to pay attention to.

THAT NO FLESH SHOULD GLORY IN HIS PRESENCE (cont. lastly); What the Apostle is talking about is the evidence of God's grace through His Son will produce an utter transformation of character away from the old satanic nature. Therefore to accuse the broken-hearted, humble and obedient who trembles at the Word of God that he is secretly seeking to usurp God's glory, is out of an evil mind of hatred.
  • A disciple on 1 Corinthians 1 - 7 years ago
THAT NO FLESH SHOULD GLORY IN HIS PRESENCE (cont. 2) When you say that we must repent and sin no more; they say, Judge Not! When you say that Christ expects to come to us and find good fruit, and that otherwise why do we worthlessly take up space? They reply, No Flesh Shall Gory In HIS PRESENCE! But go back to the beginning: how are we supposed to be known as Man? Because we ARE MADE IN HIS IMAGE!
  • A disciple on 1 Corinthians 1 - 7 years ago
THAT NO FLESH SHOULD GLORY IN HIS PRESENCE (cont.) Everyone who really knows what it means to be forgiven its sins and has learned the bitter lessons of its own ruined nature, and how impossibly UNFIT for God's Presence we all are; and how great and beautiful and loving is the Saviour; has no problem understanding the necessity of obedience and bearing good fruit that it is why we are being saved.
  • A disciple on 1 Corinthians 1 - 7 years ago
"..THAT NO FLESH SHOULD GLORY IN HIS PRESENCE" I find it so revolting, how whenever you start talking about bearing good fruit and obedience, someone will spout off as if the fruitful and obedient are seeking their own glory! Small people with little understanding think they have to run to God's defense; but what they really do is persecute the ones whom He has taken great pains to seek and save!
  • Stephen F. Zielski on 1 Corinthians 1 - 7 years ago
PAUL ALONG WITH ALL TWELVE APOSTLES AND EVEN OUR BLESSED LORD AND SAVIOR CHRIST YESHUA HAD NEVER BEEN GIVEN THE MINISTREY OF BAPTISM ! OUR BLESSED LORD TOOK THE TWELVE DOWN BY THE WATERS TO BAPTISE WITH WATER WHERE JOHN WAS YET HE {CHRIST YESHUA} DID NOT ! WHY ? BECAUSE OUR BLESSED LORD AND SAVIOR CAME AS THE LAMB OF GOD TO SET UP HIS CHURCH ! BEHOLD THE LEAST IN THE KINGDOM OF GOD IS GREATER !
  • Lilly on 1 Corinthians 1 - 7 years ago
    wow just wow
  • Peter A. Okebukola on 1 Corinthians 1 - 7 years ago
Eternal truths- For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God. That no flesh should glory in his presence. We must learn to give ALL the glory to God. He is ever worthy of our praise. No man on earth must give glory to himself.
  • Charles Bonsu on 1 Corinthians 1 - 7 years ago
    Amen.
  • Wayne on 1 Corinthians 1 - 7 years ago
There are to be no divisions in the body Christ. In the house of Chloe there contentions. One is of Paul, one of Cephas, one Apollos, one of Christ. My brethren this should not be. Seems the divisions became worse as time marched on. Remains to be seen how this division will end.
  • Ray321 on 1 Corinthians 1 - 7 years ago
James 1:5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not and it shall be given him. Paul wrote 13 books of the Bible and is the 13 Apostles.
