  • BSP on 1 Corinthians 1:24 - 9 years ago
Christ definitely proved himself to be the power of God when he performed many miracles during his life on earth. Turning water into wine, feeding thousands with only a few fish and loaves of bread, and simply telling a fearsome windstorm to be quiet are some of his miracles that show how Jehovah God exercised his power through his son. Such a wonderful aspect of Jesus' personality to meditate on and it gives us hope of what he will do in the near future.

from chapter 1 vs 5, it's only when we are enriched by Him that our utterances and knowledge can be according to His will, also LET NO MAN GLORY IN HIMSELF.....I am what i am by the mercies of the Lord.
  • Elizabeth Ademiluyi on 1 Corinthians 1 - 9 years ago
The church of God must not devide,we should be one in christ. Christ is our master. We should focus on Him alone. And see all other servants of God as one sent by God to revealed Christ to us.
  • JIMMY on 1 Corinthians 1 - 9 years ago
THE WORD OF GOD IS WONDERFUL, THROUGH THE BIBLE

To those who are called it does not matter that you are a jews or greeks,Jesus is the anthority of God and the wise of God.its all about Jesus christ.
  • ED on 1 Corinthians 1 - 9 years ago
1ST Corinthians is a reproof epistile because the corinthians were not walking according to the principles in Romans The manifestations of the gift of holy spirit from The Holy Spirit were being operated in an unruly fashion also over all there were divisions within the church ,believers where looking to people and forming allegiances towards Paul or Apollos instead of cling to the Lord Jesus Christ and The Word of God Basically babes in christ who were yet to look at every one as a famiely
  • JoAnn Hutcherson on 1 Corinthians 1 - 9 years ago
I believe every word in this 1st chapter of 1 Corinthians is true. Any God-fearing Christian can see this happening today. If we get alone with God, and his word, we will see what he is saying to us here. We are still divided because we want our own way. The word says that God confuses us when we are disobedient. Please pray for Christians everywhere that we start speaking the same thing and not our own agenda.Yes, the world 's wisdom is foolishness, I experience it on a daily bases.
  • Glenda on 1 Corinthians 1 - 9 years ago
I believe that God cannot dwell in an unclean temple. If you really love God you wouldn 't constantly keep sinning against him. The spirit of God should dwell in you. That 's if you are truly rooted and grounded in Christ.
  • Kevin card on 1 Corinthians 1 - 9 years ago
Wanda What does God do with sinners? - He loves us I believe you are asking about "saved " person sinning? God will not be mocked, if we are sincere in repentance He will help us get rid of the sin, If we do not make every effort to remove the sin, we lose out on blessings. The log in our eye, the closet sin, will not keep us from entering God 's glory, it will however keep us from being effective in witness and in receiving blessings.
  • Rosalindz on 1 Corinthians 1:18 - 9 years ago
I think that people really don 't understand what Jesus who is the almighty God did on Calvery 's cross for them, He who had no sin loved humanity so much died for us so that we can obtain eternal life through him..people in the world need to take advantage of salvation, We can have a better world if we get rid of sin and it 's only through Christ Jesus.
  • Minerva Tonie on 1 Corinthians 1:12 - 9 years ago
We follow Jesus Christ not religion, He was crucified and died on the cross alone for our sin. It is in His name alone we are aloud in the presence of the Father.
  • Minerva Tonie on 1 Corinthians 1:10 - 9 years ago
God 's word is not up for debate!
  • Ifeanyi on 1 Corinthians 1:22 - 9 years ago
the jews require a sign...greeks, wisdom....but they do nt know that Jesus is the sign writer! The sign writer is superior to the sign and the wisdom giver wiser than every art, science, philosophy of men!...The thought of God will evet remain higher than that of men. Forsake the worldly fables of men and turn to Jesus Christ our sure foundation. There is no more time left! Jesus is on his way....!!!!
  • Anthony Kariyuattil on 1 Corinthians 1:25 - 9 years ago
Since I can 't understand the foolishness of God, I don 't know the implication of the statement except that man in his self conceit sees God 's action as foolish. In God 's wisdom I see His love for humanity to the triumph of the cross.
  • Lilian on 1 Corinthians 1 - 9 years ago
God is so loving and kind. He knows how to find a way to bring his words to us without any hindrances. God loves to use an ordinary man and made him become and extraordinary man to preach his good news. God is not looking for the well influence man but he is seeking whats inside in our heart. Blessed are those who are pure in their hearts for they shall see the Glory of God. We must walk with Jesus in faith and not by sight. Jesus loves us so much and thanks him for his precious blood that shed for us from his blood we are saved and have everlasting life in abundance. We must follow and keep God 's commandments until rapture.
  • Ella Thompson on 1 Corinthians 1:18 - 9 years ago
How heavy that cross was showing how heavy our sins were on just one man the man that at the end proved to be the only way by which man could have a relationship with God by dying on the cross and giving his life a ransom for many then three days later rose from the dead and gave way for the Holy spirit, the Counselor, to guide us into all truth. Truly to those who are being saved it is the power of God!
  • Wanda white on 1 Corinthians 1 - 9 years ago
What dose GOD do with the sinners. When they sin and worship him also
  • Vinceny on 1 Corinthians 1:27 - 9 years ago
    Right about
  • Jimi Vicencio on 1 Corinthians 1 - 9 years ago
The power of the gospel good news is not in eloquence of speech but through simple means such as giving bread support to the hungry less fortunate with humility. It denotes a type of experience of possibly having gone through similar situations... God Jesus usually uses the least likely to bring attention to an issue...
  • Wakuma on 1 Corinthians 1:18 - 9 years ago
it is the central message of christianity
  • John on 1 Corinthians 1 - 9 years ago

  • RONALD D WIGGINS on 1 Corinthians 1 - 10 years ago
GOD GIVES SALVATION TO ALL WHO ACCEPT HIS FREE GIFT, JESUS CHRIST, THE ONLY NAME OR WAY UNDER HEAVEN A MAN CAN BE SAVED. WE 'RE ADOPTED INTO THE FAMILY OF GOD THROUGH THE BLOOD OF CHRIST. WE ARE CHRIST 'S, NOT A DENOMINATION, A SPECIAL PREACHER 'S OR ANYTHING ELSE! PRAISE GOD!
  • MockingBird on 1 Corinthians 1:9 - 10 years ago
God is faithful : Can not say it any better than that !!! He has called me unto the fellowship of His Son Jesus Christ my Lord !!! Totally Awesome!!! Some people get excited because they get to talk to some star or very important person : But we are called to have fellowship with God Almighty !!! The creator of the whole earth and universe and mankind. If you do not get excited over that : Then I think your dead.
  • Jason Young on 1 Corinthians 1:9 - 10 years ago
Hey People 's Bible, salvation has already been completed. It was completed when Jesus said it is finished. Stop confusing people
  • Jason Paul Russell on 1 Corinthians 1 - 10 years ago
Many so called churches today, teach there Owen doctrine instead of teaching the doctrine of Jesus Christ. Denominations of churches are, of men not of our Lord and Saviour Jesus. Test all teachers and preacher 's, according to what the Word of God says, and know weather they speak and teach the very doctrine of God. God has to be are foundation in all things and aspects of life.
