For I have slain a man to my wounding, and a young man to my hurt; which, as some say, were his great-grandfather Cain, and his son Tubalcain: according to a TRADITION OF THE JEWS: it was after this manner; Cain being old, and blind, and weary, sat in a thicket among the trees to rest himself; when Lamech, who was blind also, and led by young Tubalcain hunting, who seeing Cain, and taking him for a wild beast, bid Lamech draw his bow, which he did, and killed him; but coming nearer, and finding it was Cain, was wroth and angry, and slew the young man: the ARABIC WRITERS, tell the story with a little variation, and Lamech being in the woods with one of his sons, and hearing a noise in it, supposing it to be a wild beast, cast a stone, which fell upon Cain, and killed him ignorantly; and the lad that led him said, what hast thou done? thou hast killed Cain! and coming to his wives, Adah and Zillah, said to them, hear my word, he that slew Abel shall be avenged sevenfold, but Lamech seventy times seven, who killed a man with a stone, and a young man by clapping of his hands. And Gills version: he was sorry for it, made confession of it; it was to the wounding and grief of his soul, which does not agree with the wicked race of Cain: the words may be rendered: "though I have slain a man, that is nothing to you, you are not accountable for it, nor have anything to fear coming upon you by reason of that; it is to my own wounding, damage, and hurt, if to any, and not to you [the murder of Abel should be avenged on them, this being the 7th generation in which it was to be avenged, Genesis 4:15]
Mishaels Opinion: I think TubalCain was "accidentally" killed. I first thought there was fist fight until I read this. All of the descendants of Cain died before the Flood.
The story of Cain is told by the Arabs he lived among, and by Jewish Historians. Hopefully these commentaries will end that discussion.
My apologies to you,

My apologies to you,
I was shocked to read your statement about Cain's death. His name in Hebrew (Qayin) was not killed that way.
Please sir/madam, reading in the Hebrew language you will find the truth and then understand. I have never seen
fist fight in King James Bible either. Knowing Hebrew helps a lot.
Sister in Jesus Christ
Other tongues, those are spoken to God. It's between you & God. You will go forward & will receive power. Go preach the gospel in boldness. We must do so in love. Always in love
Mostly they speak unto God & not to the church. It's a beautiful sound to hear.
In it are the words of Jesus (as indicated in Revelation chapter 1) given to the Apostle John to declare the Mind & Acts of God during the final days of the Earth. If they are hard to be understood, then the problem rests with us & we should seek further light on the matter. In any case, the things that are yet to happen, should alert every reader of this Book (& indeed all of Scripture), to the terrors & judgements that await those who spurn God's Love for them & not giving heed to the state of their souls.
I follow the understanding that if one has that gift, then one has to use it for God's Glory & as prescribed in the Word. 1 Corinthians chapters 12-14 are relevant for us to know how the gift is to be used in corporate ministry & private worship. The matter arises when a tongue is given that appears to not be a language unlearned, but as some describe it as 'babble'. Again, if this matter is unknown to the user of tongues, then Paul has prescribed the proper use of it. But often in some Churches, a corporate use of tongues in worship is given a special place which presents itself as a meaningless din to the non-participant, & this is not in accord with Scripture.
In any case, the Scripture is clear that though this was a sign of the reception of this Gift, it's certainly not mandatory to have it to prove the indwelling of the Spirit ( 1 Corinthians 12:30).
There have been different movements in Church history.
From about 1500 we have the Lutheran churches who just believe that you are saved by faith, and do not need to live a holy life. From about 1700 we have the Wesleyan churches who believe you must also live a holy life. From about 1900 we have the Pentecostal churches which believe that after faith, and holiness, comes the Holy Ghost as a seperate event in your life.
These latter churches would emphasize speaking in tongues. Some even go so far as to say that speaking in tongues is the evidence of the Holy Ghost baptism. That is not true thought; Jesus said that when the Holy Ghost comes He will teach us in all things. So the evidence for the Holy Spirit is to accept the truth when it comes to you.
Peace & Love in Christ
"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness." 1 John 1:9
Pray this prayer with sincerity of heart
"Dear God, I believe in you and that your Son, Jesus Christ, is Lord. I believe in His sacrifice for my sins and His resurrection from the dead. I repent and ask forgiveness for my sins and I'm deciding now to follow you. Please, come into my life through the gift of your Holy Spirit. It is in the Lord Jesus' name that I ask and receive, Amen."
The Bible says doing these things with sincerity means you are a Christian (Christ follower) and will have eternal life in heaven.
"These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God." 1 John 5:13
Use caution in trusting your feelings, as feelings change. Stand on God's promises- they never change.
Now is a good time to repent of things you have done. Get everything under the shed blood of Jesus. He's paid for all of your sins. Be straight with him. He knows everything we've done.
Ask him to send you some angels to keep you safe from the enemies of your soul. Block people on your phone who will try to tempt you to return to your old lifestyle. Ask God to bring you some new. Christian friends.
You are going to have to testify to old friends that you have been born again and are now a follower of Jesus. Don't let them laugh you out of your promise.
You're going to have spiritual warfare, so read your Bible every day. Start with Ephesians 6. Stay in Matthew through to 1,2,3rd John near the back. Speak it as you read it: it will stick in all 3 gates: eyes, ears, mouth.
Pray as if we were talking. Your own thoughts. Ask for and receive what you ask for. Believe you have it. The Holy Spirit is with you now. John 16&17.

If you feel compelled to take your first step towards God, you can do that right now wherever you are.
1. Acknowledge the Problem: We have all sinned, and that sin separates us from God
No matter how good you think you are, no matter how many good things you try to do, it is still not good enough to get into heaven; it can't be earned but is a gift.
"For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God" Romans 3:23
"For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." Romans 6:23
"And he said, That which cometh out of the man, that defileth the man. For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, Thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness; all these evil things come from within, and defile the man." Mark 7:20-23
2. Discover the Solution: Jesus
The only way for God to bridge the gap between Himself and us is through His Son, Jesus Christ. His death was a substitute for us; He paid the penalty for our sins.
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." John 3:16
"For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God." I Peter 3:18
"Neither is there salvation in any other; for there is no other name under Heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved." Acts 4:12
3. Respond: Believe, Repent, Confess, Accept Jesus as Lord and Savior
To be saved, we must believe that Jesus is Lord and believe that He died for our sins. This confession acknowledges before God that we are unable to attain righteousness on our own and that we accept His plan for our lives.
or teachers. Although everyone agrees that God called Deborah to be a judge. Other women were prophetesses.
I was responding to the gay/ homosexual comment. Pardon me.
Also: the center columns are references to the alphabet or numbers that are within the verses. They expand the understanding of those verses.
At the entrance to this website is a search box. Bring up the verse you want answers to: then scroll down to the Commentary box. Lots of info in that.
Study to show yourself approved. So many subjects will be opened up to you, you'll really be blessed by your discoveries. You'll want to share them right away.
Sometimes you'll have to use google to find a verse you can't remember the words to.
Better yet, ask the Holy Spirit to help you study :D
Is God confused about Gay marriage too or/same sex marriage?
Is God confused about Abortion as well or is he only confused about what Paul said about woman? LOL...do you see the stupity in man / woman?
However, there are persons in the church who sadly make the crnter piece of their Christian lives communicating that "toungues" have past away and indeed all of God's ministerial gifts have past away." If I had not ever heard anyone speak in toungues I would still have faith in it because of "Forbid Not."
My guess on why Paul said forbid not to speak in tongues was because at that time, God was giving them that ability. Therefore, at that time, it would have been right for Paul to say that.
Acts Chapter 2 is a perfect example of tongues in its proper function. The Holy Spirit fell on these men, and they spoke in tongues. What they were speaking were known languages, not known to those who were speaking, but known by those who were hearing them speak.
Most of what is going on in our churches as far as tongues goes is in complete violation of 1 Corinthians 14:22.
21 And he was driven from the sons of men; and his heart was made like the beasts, and his dwelling was with the wild asses: they fed him with grass like oxen, and his body was wet with the dew of heaven; till he knew that the most high God ruled in the kingdom of men, and that he appointeth over it whomsoever he will.
22 And thou his son, O Belshazzar, hast not humbled thine heart, though thou knewest all this;
23 But hast lifted up thyself against the Lord of heaven; and they have brought the vessels of his house before thee, and thou, and thy lords, thy wives, and thy concubines, have drunk wine in them;
That would be my guess
