"Whom shall he teach knowledge? and whom shall he make to understand doctrine? them that are weaned from the milk, and drawn from the breasts." Isaiah 28:9-11 WHO HAS KNOWN THE MIND OF THE LORD? They that turn to the Lord with with a true heart, so that the covering of darkness cast over their heads is removed! Those who receive the Kingdom of God as a little child! Those who love out of a pure heart, and a good conscience, and faith without hypocrisy! Ask and you SHALL receive! Believe and obey, and God will make you the man or woman He intends you to be, "After His own heart!" How shall anyone even be able to learn knowledge unless they have ability to understand? The Lord has many things to say to us, but He has to wait till we are able to bear it. This requires RECEIVING HIS WORD in a good and honest heart, grown up and matured through trial and proving faithful exercising one's self unto piety and walking in Truth, in OBEDIENCE to the Spirit of Christ.

Anyone who has stood before an assembly preaching or teaching knows how true verses 1-5 are. The Holy Spirit just takes over and it is not your words, but His. Those of us that may lack the confidence to preach or teach Jesus, know that Paul also relied on not his own ability, but the words of the Holy Spirit. AMAZING

Paul reminds us in this chapter that we must be filled with the Holy Spirit to be able to discern things of this world. God's promises for us if we keep His commandments are also contained in "Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him." Let us love the Lord with all our heart and it shall be well with us.

BSP; What you say is most certainly the truth, but we shouldn't think that God winks at the ungodly because they are not Christians nor spiritually minded. God knows how much we all know or don't, and how much we do or not do with the knowledge and conviction He gives. Remember how Jesus rebuked the hypocrites and pronounced, Woe unto you! Having a spiritual mind has to do with being of the truth!
  • BSP on 1 Corinthians 2 - 7 years ago
Verse 14, 15: To a physical or fleshly minded man they will not accept spiritual things or understand them. The fleshly minded man or woman must make their mind over in order to understand spiritual things.

Verse 12: The spirit of the world and spirit of God are in complete contrast to one another. By one's actions and words it can easily be seen which spirit one has.

Verses 9,10: Fleshly minded people can not comprehend the deep things that God has prepared for those who love him by means of his Word the Bible.

Apostle Paul was lead by Jesus. Man on earth did not teach Paul. Jesus thru the Holy Spirit guided Paul's writings. 1 Corinthians 2:4 And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man's wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power: Paul was a CHOSEN vessel for Jesus to reach out to Gentiles. Paul is a man of God for the will of Jesus Christ.

1 Corinthians 6:19 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? The Holy Spirit lives in the Saved child of God, there for we are in the body of Jesus waiting for it to get filled. I can't wait for to meet Jesus in the clouds, that will be the best ride of my Life. Praise the Lord .

As we align our lives with the Bible and make a dedication to Jehovah God, we are able to receive his spirit. This is a great source of protection to Christians. This allows us to see the world from spiritual perspective, gaining the mind of Christ. Thus we can make decisions that will draw us closer to God, and resist Satan's evil spirit of the world.
  • BSP on 1 Corinthians 2 - 7 years ago
We can't have a good relationship with Jehovah God while manifesting the characteristics of the spirit of the world.

We can fully understand the mind of God - as He has revealed it to us in His Word, but when we get to heaven - there will be so much more we will know of Him; " ... now we see thru a glass darkly, but then face to face."
