This scriptural verse is indeed the greatest promise of love by our lovely father, it is our hope, strength, courage and assurance that at the END there is an unimmaginable, unthinkable and a precious price awaiting us both in heaven and on earth. Amen.
  • PAUL ALLIEU KAMARA on 1 Corinthians 2 - 10 years ago
God is what we are looking for, God is love but made us to understand that there is much more to love than we see or understood, eyes have not seen ears have not hard what God has for them that love him. So there is a mystery behind loving God let us go for the mystery to be mastery.

This is a clear notice to all men from the inerrant Word of God that man cannot bring something about in himself to come to The Savior, Jesus Christ and be Saved. The Word says that the natural man does not seek after God nor can he even though he is held responsible to do so Lk. 13 3 5 1Cor. 2 14 . Jesus said that we will not come to Him that we might have life John 5 40 . The Word says that we are spiritually dead and incapable of coming to God on our own because dead people don 't hold out their hand or ask for anything of God in a true, Salvific way Rom. 5 5 Eph. 2 5 Col. 2 13 . Just as we did not ask or have any part, whatsoever, in our natural birth, we can have no part in our spiritual birth. That is by and of God John 3 3 12 Eph. 2 1 5 . Therefore, in my view, it is imperative that the Saved pray for those who are dead in their sins continually James 5 16 .

This is only for a select group of people not the Sunday church goers or those who sit on a deacon board or play in the church choir and think that is salvation It s not for the fearful or the faithless or the liars or backbiters etc But this is for those who have died out to the world and surrendered all to God Those who call on the name of Jesus day and night The ones baptized by the Holy Ghost and the fire These are they who when they are tried and endure are found worthy to receive God s glory in their lives It pays to love God It pays to fear Him and to trust in His Word The Word of God is Jesus We can not even begin to comprehend what revelations and songs and prophecies and visions and wonderful works God has in store for those who love Him And who does Jesus says loves Him Those who keep His commandments Amen

This verse of the scripture gives great hope and assurance to all born again believers that the God we serve is faithful and has unimaginable and unfathomable plans for each of us which He will certainly bring to pass. Whatever may be your situation now, be rest assured that there are better blessings ahead both in this world and in eternity. We are not serving God in vain. Ask Abraham, Isaac, Jacob,Joseph, Joshua, Caleb, Hannah,Ruth, Job, David, Zechariah, Elizabeth, Mary and contemporary believers and they will tell you. As we continue steadfastly in loving, obeying and serving God in righteousness and holiness, we will behold the great goodness of our God and people who know us will acknowledge that we are serving a covenant keeping God in Jesus' name, Amen.

This verse is one of so many which exhibits the timeliness of what untold numbers of people regard as antiquated writings. I am in utter awe how a gracious God has given us His truth, yet how many even realize that, much less attempt to live by it? Oh, how I vividly remember myself as that 'natural man'. I followed the things of satan, therefore anything of God was foolishness to me. Thanks be to God twenty-three years ago, I accepted His free gift of salvation. My life has not been the same since and words cannot express my gratitude to Him for rescuing me- not only from myself as I lived this earthly life given to sin, but from an eternity in hell. I vividly remember as well when I knew and understood that I had spiritual discernment- a whole new world had opened up to me because of a Book- my King James Bible. Now, as I attempt to witness to my two adult brothers who are lost, I see my 'old man' in them- the things I speak are foolishness to them. What is even worse, people who call themselves Christians will debate with me over truths of the Bible, defending the world's view instead of God's. What a sad day we live in, but thankfully we have His promise that His word will not return to Him void.
  • Valerie Richards on 1 Corinthians 2 - 11 years ago
I find the above 1Corinthians Chap. 2 Bible study debate very informative. The Corinthians have always been one of my favourite chapters in the Bible. I have also shared my opinion on Facebook.

    What I understand through
This passage is that we cannot use our human wisdom and ability to present the message of the gospel.that message can convince and change
    Hearts through the power
    Of the Holy Spirit.
    The message of the gospel
Using human wisdom and ability ,
  • John k zulu on 1 Corinthians 2:9 - 11 years ago
I love this scripture just like i do with my life because it helps me understand that we cannot imagine all that God has in store for us his children both in this life &for eternity......groly be to God.
