Jesse, may the Spirit grace you with understanding, everyone receives the same reward. The reward is Christ (eternal life). To him that overcometh will I give: Revelation 2:7 the tree of life (Christ) Revelation 2:10 crown of life (Christ) Revelation 2:17 a white stone (Christ) Revelation 22:28 the morning star (Christ) Revelation 3:5 white raiment (Christ) Revelation 3:12 a pillar in the temple (Christ) Revelation 3:21 set with me in my throne (Christ)

We earn nothing; the gift of God is eternal life 1 Timothy 6:16 Who (Christ) only hath immortality.......

    The KJVInterpret:

The KJVBible is a media for the interpolation of the days of the generations, in the telling of the Creation. This is how Jesus provided us with information about things we cannot know, He has; by His wisdom, included everything we need, written in the KJVText. The "generations" exist in other dimensions, of which we can have no knowledge; this is the "sin" of the KJVBible. We cannot sin in this world; it is beyond our comprehension. This is why all the stories of the days of the Creation, have been interpolated from the Knowledge of God; into a matrix of understanding written in the KJVBible, by the Holy Word of the LORD.

This is not about the message in any one passage. Paul has demonstrated how there is an underlying discourse pattern throughout the KJVBible, which reveals things about the works of God; those of ancient times could not of understood. And, as a matter of fact, a message like this could only have been accomplished by an everlasting, omnipotent God!

18 Let no man deceive himself. If any man among you seemeth to be wise in this world, let him become a fool, that he may be wise.... this verse apply so well, as it relate to SALVATION, because this verse is foolishness to the mind of a person not SAVED according to verses such as John 3:16-21, ...., ...., etc., especially if Time allow us to consider how we foolishly gave 5 - 60 years of our life to this and that and finally we reach that point in life and still we do not realize we have deceived /entertained our-self's foolishly. Never-the-less the POWER OF GOD through verses such as John 3:16-21, ..., is there for us to apply it thereby reserve a personal seat at the MARRIAGE SUPPER..

I learned the only thing worth knowing is the instructions of God. Knowing what, when, and how to do a task is all I need to know. I make a request of God and continue to do my work unless my foot slip because I am jealous of the prosperity of the wicked.

Hear and see as my Holy Father draw ye. These be sand, the blind bewitching ye with vain bread. Covering unhewn stone, even the true Rock they say, Coverage you can count on! and, Watching out for you! They lie to deceive. Therefore whosoever hears these sayings of mine, and does them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon A ROCK: Now doeth the fire reveal every man's work.
  • Ann - In Reply on 1 Corinthians 3 - 5 years ago
I agree with your post and also wonder if foundations of sand could be religious views or areas in our lives that we withhold from the potter and so these areas create weakness in the foundation of our spiritual house?
  • Ann - In Reply on 1 Corinthians 3 - 5 years ago
"my people have forsaken Me..and hewen for themselves cisterns that cannot hold water." It is so true. Nothing else can fill the void. Only Jesus. There are so many bright religious ideas that do not lead to God's living water. I pray that God will reveal himself to those seeking in the church and cause us to rise up out of our graves and know God is alive and not just a Sunday activity.

Verse 9~Jehovah God does not need any assistance to accomplish his purposes, but he has given us the privilege to be his fellow workers.
  • BSP on 1 Corinthians 3 - 6 years ago
Verse 6~We each can do our part by planting Kingdom truths in the minds and hearts of others, but it is Jehovah God who makes it grow.
  • Stephen R Wilcox on 1 Corinthians 3 - 6 years ago
A text without context has lead many down strange paths. Catholics use verses in this chapter to justify Purgatory. Wow! Paul is saying do not edify the one who gives you doctrine but let the doctrine live or die under its own merits. It will lead to the Ultimate Truth and eternal life or to falsehood and the Lake of Fire at the end of this world.

What was it in the case of Peter being rebuked? When it comes to taking the way of the cross, natural human affection and seeking to save one's own life IS a tactic of the devil to get us to despise the things of God and faith and obedience. Peter's love for Jesus was good; but his not understanding the insubordination of the flesh toward the Spirit of God moved him to lend his mouth unwittingly.
  • A disciple on 1 Corinthians 3 - 6 years ago
"Every man's work shall be made manifest:.." (cont.); Where in all the Scriptures do we ever read that God talked down to people or patronized their inabilities? Nowhere! He always speaks in a language everyone can understand, so that it is entirely on the state of the individual's fear of God and whether he has a heart to know the truth that God either has mercy, or else hardens that one.
  • A disciple on 1 Corinthians 3 - 6 years ago
"Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is." Wise teachers do not have any pity for students' hurt feelings or if it's harder for some more than others to learn the basics of reading, writing and arithmetic. In the same way we are expected to have integrity and overcome.

I was feeling very depressed and I read I Corinthians 3 about envy and strife and it was as if the LORD was speaking directly to me because there has been a lot of both envy and strife in my home. I am glad that I know my LORD and SAVIOR and that I can find comfort in his words. Amen

"And I, brethren, could not speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal, even as unto babes in Christ." A newborn baby is a beautiful miracle of life and regeneration. The family looks with wonder at the little tiny hands and fingers and feet and toes, and the little face; and has to take very gentle care for this most helpless little person. Thank God we don't stay babies for long!
  • Peter A. Okebukola on 1 Corinthians 3 - 7 years ago
Eternal truths-So then neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he that watereth; but God that giveth the increase. If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are. If any man among you seemeth to be wise in this world, let him become a fool, that he may be wise. For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God.

  • Evangelist Andrew Kelly on 1 Corinthians 3 - 7 years ago
Ray: Romans 7 is past tense, Paul is telling us who he ((was)) under sin. Paul uses the law of divorce and remarriage to show us that death is the only way to be remarried, in this case death is the way to separate from from the devil sin and be married unto Jesus to righteousness. 33 times Paul uses the letter ((I)) to show that you are in trouble if you are walking the way he did in sin.
  • Ray321 on 1 Corinthians 3 - 7 years ago
Romans 7:14 For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under sin. The flesh is not perfect, but one day we will have a perfect body. Romans 6:6 Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin. That we should not serve sin, that means it's possible to serve sin when saved.
  • Wayne on 1 Corinthians 3 - 7 years ago
    V. 4 and onward shows that whosoever divides up the body of Christ, the Church, is still carnal, ruled by sin. There are no divisions in God's church, never has been, never will be. The Church of God,always, will be triumphant. There is a remnant on the narrow road that will not, ever, be deceived.
