    10 Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.

    11 And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.

    God bless you Mishael , I also keep away from TV and so called social media , be not conformed to this world , every where I go strangers talk to me and I always reply . You are correct , I think many people are lonely and scared by the things going on in this world . I wish that everyone knew the Truth but have to accept that many don't want to , the pull of this world is too strong on some . Me ? I can't wait for Christ to return , my heart aches for the best days , days of peace , light life love , truth righteousness justice mercy and joy for all for ever .     The closer the Day of the Lord draws near to us, the more that media and social platforms will be contaminated with godless programming. I never leave the tv on for companionship or "white noise".

    I only listen to Christian music: gospel and oldies like Petra, Darrell Mansfield (goes to Greg Laurie's church), Terry and his brother John Michael Talbot music. There's preachers on FM radio too. I pray for all to stay true to Jesus.

    I do have YouTube premium for news. They do have Christian movies; I watch Nelson Walters and Erick Stakelbeck for prophetic news.

    It helps me to sit down and read my Bible and pray for those who get De-railed by the stuff on network tv. I'm not on any social media. I go outside and talk to neighbors and friends and pray with them. Talk to total strangers everywhere I go. People are really lonely.

    I always remember that evangelists are Jesus and his disciples with shoes on our feet. :) carrying the good news.

    Tomorrow is Passover and the day of Jesus's Resurrection remembrance day. I will lift my song with yours my friend in Christ.

    I think that part of the problem is that so many people view these things as a bit of harmless fun and not actually evil . People are so easily deceived and they don't even realise it . These Kingdoms of men are full of distractions and deceits , things that keep our minds and hearts away from seeking the Truth . We are flooded with false information all the time , we have access to all kinds of evil things now , especially with the internet , it's hard to know what is real and what is lie . There's only one Truth and only one place to find it , the Bible . Thanks Mishael , much love in Christ .

    This was part of my experience . When I was young I was into astrology and tarot . I didn't consider that these things were in any way bad . For some reason I decided I wanted to read the Bible so I went out and bought a copy of the KJV .As soon as I got home with it , something told me that I had to get rid of my astrology books and tarot cards immediately , right then . I didn't think twice and threw them away without hesitating , then I started to read the Bible . When I look back on this it was very odd , I felt gently compelled , as if the Bible and those other books could not be in my house together , I had to get rid of them , instantly , and I just did it , without hesitating . It was awesome . I thank God for saving me from myself , He's done it many times .

    Janet, there are many unbelievers inside the church.

    Christ first calls you, you respond because Christ CAUSES you to respond.

    Philippians 1:29 For unto you it is GIVEN on behalf of Christ, not only TO BELIEVE ON HIM, but to suffer for his name sake;

    Most DO NO BELIEVE, that they believe, because Christ CAUSES them to BELIEVE.

    This is just the milk of the word, the meat of the word gets even more complex and it takes more of CHRIST CAUSING YOU TO BELIEVE, the meat of the word.

    If the called don't believe the milk, Christ will not give them MORE OF HIMSELF TO BELIEVE THE MEAT.

    You are BORN AGAIN by GOD'S WORDS, you become ONE with God's words, you agree with God's words.

    Then you are RIGHTEOUS because HE (the word) is RIGHTEOUS, you are HOLY because HE (the word) is HOLY

    You PUT ON CHRIST, and all that he is (the word) YOU BECOME.

    When you depart from this fleshly body you put on immortality.

    1 Timothy 6:16 Whom only hath IMMORTALITY ....... You become the exactness of Christ.

    You become a priest (a ministering spirit, a flame of fire) in the kingdom of God, and that kingdom is in IN MAN. You will be in the presence of GOD and GODS ABODE is in man, bring MAN to TRUTH, of what a son of God is.

    This is speaking of unbelievers in general. This all begins back with Verse 1 and it has to do with a believer taking another believer before an unbelieving judge to settle a grievance.

    Verse 2 says we (saints) shall judge the world. So if we are to judge the world, we should be able to judge matters amongst ourselves without taking the matter to an unbelieving judge.

    Verses 5-8 are very interesting. He's talking about Christians doing this to each other, not from the outside, but to each other. Christians are doing wrong in justice. They are defrauding their brother. So the brother who is wronged, he files a legal action against his brother. And so he says isn't there any wise men among you that can decide what's right and what's wrong, and make those kinds of decisions?

    It's interesting that Paul says to set somebody up, and it doesn't have to be somebody that's educated. He says to take the person that is least esteemed in the church because the right and the wrong is pretty simple!

    He says you're at fault in your dealings. First of all, you are defrauding one another, and if your brother does defraud you, you think you got to take him to court because nobody's going to do anything about it.

    Just let it go, because we are talking about a Christian with another Christian coming in front of non-believers and letting non-believers judge between God's people. They don't even have the Spirit of God!

    Verse 9 says, "Know you not that the (unrighteous) shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, (and that word literally means "boy abusers.") Nor abusers of themselves with mankind, which is one Greek word that is the word homosexual.

    What he's saying is you are bringing your complaint against your fellow Christian to the non-believer and they're not even going to inherit the kingdom of God. They are so corrupt and you are asking them to judge between you and another brother.

    It is a sin Miria -- where did you read that it was not sinful? Mishael indicates that in his last two paragraphs.

    To understand as well why did God strike him dead aligned with everything already written above? God commissioned the generations of Judah and there was to be a child with Onan. But Onan did this to spite God. Further judgement with Judah as he withheld his youngest son and was to be seduced by Tamar.

    Overall too (the bigger picture of this), Judah was there to first suggest Joseph to be sold to the Egyptians. He was not the sole brother responsible but spoke the idea and troubled their father Jacob (Israel). Right after Joseph's abduction, we're not told the judgements of the other brethren. But we're told of Judah's specifically because of the wickedness that was in his heart. So was Judah judged as well as his children.

    Judah's firstborn son Er has died, killed by God for an unnamed wickedness. Since Er died without leaving children, Judah has told his second oldest son, Onan, to take Er's widow Tamar as his wife. His responsibility is to have children with her, raising those offspring on behalf of his brother. This was a strong custom in the region at the time, and it would be part of God's law for the nation of Israel ( Deuteronomy 25:5-6).This would ensure that the departed man's line could continue. It would also provide for the woman's care, giving her children to support her as she aged.

    Onan doesn't like the idea. According to this custom, the children will legally be considered heirs of his dead brother. The time and resources Onan must provide caring for them won't be part of his legacy. Some portion of his future earnings and estate will go to children who are legally and culturally considered someone else's sons.

    In response, Onan deliberately avoids conceiving children with Tamar. If that meant avoiding intercourse with her, his choice would merely have been callous. The later, formal version of "levirate marriage" would include a way for the surviving brother to avoid taking on the new wife ( Deuteronomy 25:7-10). Instead, Onan takes advantage of both the situation and of Tamar. He uses her for sex but interrupts the act at the very end to prevent conception. This is not a single event, but a pattern: it was Onan's choice "whenever" he had sex with Tamar. For that, God will strike Onan dead ( Genesis 38:10).

    This sin and its dire consequences inspired the term "Onanism." This word is most often applied to what modern people label as "masturbation." A common assumption is that God punished Onan for self-gratification, or for having sex simply for pleasure. Strictly speaking, however, Onan's sin was how he used Tamar for sex while deliberately avoiding taking the responsibilities

    My understanding is that Jesus said that if you lust in your heart, you have committed sexual sin. Matthew 5:27. So, yes, I would say it is sin as Jesus calls it such.

    I think this verse will inspire you. The reason being, that when we submit to fantasy and lust, our minds aren't on the Lord.

    Philippians 4:8

    Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

    One way to improve self-control is to remove everything that causes lack of it.

    Read in Proverbs for wisdom. Titus 1:15 and Genesis 38:6-10 for resolve to honor the Lord with your body. Paul taught that if we struggle with singleness, to consider marriage.
