1 Corinthians Chapter 7:18 Is any man called being circumcised? let him not become uncircumcised.

( 1 Samuel 16:7 But the LORD said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the LORD seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the LORD looketh on the heart.

Psalms 7:9 Oh let the wickedness of the wicked come to an end; but establish the just: for the righteous God trieth the hearts and reins.

Proverbs 21:2 Every way of a man is right in his own eyes: but the LORD pondereth the hearts.

Revelation 2:22-23 Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and them that commit adultery with her into great tribulation, except they repent of their deeds.

And I will kill her children with death; and all the churches shall know that I am He which searcheth the reins and hearts: and I will give unto every one of you according to your works.

Matthew 28:18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.

John 5:23 That all men should honour the Son, even as they honour the Father. He that honoureth not the Son honoureth not the Father which hath sent him.

Philippians 2:5-11 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:

Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:

But made Himself of no reputation, and took upon Him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:

And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled Himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.

Wherefore God also hath highly exalted Him, and given Him a name which is above every name:

    That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;

And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Matthew 11:15 He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.

    A morning meditation:

Pentecost had its place and time. Likewise the events at Bethlehem and Calvary had their time. A Christian needs the essence of all three events not a copy. This essence is through the indwelling Holy Ghost and this essence must remain in us to have an eternal heavenly home. As born again Christians we should know "his unspeakable gift" that God has given to us by His Son, Jesus Christ.

    2 Corinthians 9:15 Amen.

    Greetings in Jesus name, Mike.

If I may, please allow me to offer some correction.

Jesus Christ told Nicodemus in John 3:3 that a man must be born again to SEE the kingdom of God. 1 Peter 1:23 is how one is born again, being convicted by the word and knowing they are a sinner and who Jesus is and what He did.

Jesus then told Nicodemus in John 3:5, a man must be born of water and the Spirit to ENTER the kingdom.

Acts 2:38 is how one obeys the gospel of Jesus Christ and is born of water and the Spirit: repenting & being baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins and receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost which will cause you to speak in an unknown tongue.

You see, there's a big difference between seeing something and entering it. I can see a ferrari on the street, but that doesn't mean I'm in it.

Obeying the gospel of Jesus Christ is how one is able to enter the kingdom of God.

Yea, Paul preached the gospel of the Death, Burial, & Ressurection of Christ.

Acts 2:38 is how one obeys the gospel & has their (past) sins remitted and the blood applied to their life.

Repentance = Death (dying to the flesh & the old man)

Baptism in Jesus' name = burial with Christ

Receiving the Holy Ghost = resurrection in the Spirit and power to walk after the Spirit & not the flesh

    Praise the Lord.

I pray you can receive these important truths.

    Sincerely,

    Andrew

While I'm not totally clear what Paul is talking about here, maybe some Jewish tradition, IDK it's unclear.

At first I thought You can not come to the Father but through the son and the believer was that avenue, it just wasn't sitting well.

After a lot of prayer and a lot of digging, two words came to me. Born again. You must be born again to get to heaven. How do you do that?

You should understand who Jesus is, the Son of God, that you are a sinner in need of a saviour, and believe (what Jesus did).

    (The Gospel)

    1 Corinthians 15:1 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;

2 By which also ye are SAVED, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.

    3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;

4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:"

Believe the Gospel and you will recieve the Holy Spirit, God's mark on your soul, and be saved.. You can not lose it.

Call out to Jesus, thank him for his life saving sacrifice!

The answer is in the scripture, if you are intimate God wants you to be married.

Are u not able 2 live a platonic life with this man ? In that case u would not need 2 get married ,if the answer is no and u wish 2 b one flesh that is fine ,God sends us people 2 love and comfort us and that we may show others love and support and company , is this man also a Christian ? If no think very carefully b 4 u commit yourself 2 him ,i am in similar circumstances 2 u ,i believe that God gave me the right person and that God gave me 2 the right person ,we r not legally married ,i have prayed and asked God 2 recognise us as man and wife ,u must b sure of this mans feelings 4 u but if u r u r allowed 2 find happiness and comfort ,God does not want us 2 b miserable and lonely ,pray and wait patiently 4 the answer ,it will come .

Benjamin, you speak as one who knows the law? What does God want ! A lawyer or a preacher of the truth?
  • Fred Scanlan - In Reply on 1 Corinthians 7:8 - 3 years ago
Oh no! You have made a horrible mistake! Marriage is the most honorable gift from God! Marriage is holy it is pure, it is consecrated from above! Jesus is the bridegroom, he will come for his church. Marriage is from God. What shall I do if there is no forgiveness , what would Christ do. No, no, you be married before the angels of heaven, in His church. His church is everywhere!
  • Benjamin - In Reply on 1 Corinthians 7:8 - 3 years ago
If money is your struggle, the Lord will understand if you don't have a ceremonious wedding. Also, dont get married under the law. Our system of marriage certificates is not Godly. Simply a commitment to one another is being married under the vision of God. Don't let yourself burn with passion if it will make you sinful.

Can a husband get his wife into heaven
  • Chris - In Reply on 1 Corinthians 7:11 - 4 years ago
The Bible declares that divorce is a sin as it breaks the special lasting bond that a husband & wife can enjoy: the two shall be one flesh. So Paul says in 1 Corinthians 6:16, "know ye not that he which is joined to an harlot is one body? for two, saith he, shall be one flesh." So any sexual union outside of marriage is considered an act of adultery.

When you say "when the partner cannot understand each other any longer", is it that misunderstandings & arguments are so frequent that the marriage is no longer loving & committed? At times, a couple can come to 'loggerheads' or the marriage becomes so stale or difficult that divorce seems the only release from that situation. However, in a Christian marriage, divorce is not an option, but there is room for a separation ( 1 Corinthians 7:11) with a view to take time away from each other to consider the matter & for eventual reconciliation. Yet, if even this isn't possible, then a permanent separation may be needed, but both parties remain unmarried.

This sounds difficult, especially if the suffering becomes unbearable in marriage, even if everything is done, including both praying & waiting on the Lord, seeking counselling & giving the marriage another shot by making some changes in those areas of conflict. If there's still no hope, then only a separation is permitted. If they still want to divorce & re-marry, then they come under the Hand of God for their outcome. But as I say, everything must be done to save the marriage, which is holy before God.

I honestly believe the bible meant anything that can lead to sexual arousal and definitely no sexual activity.
  • Debra Grace on 1 Corinthians 7:7 - 4 years ago
Burning is lusting - would you agree? Doesn't Paul contradict what Christ said about lusting? Nor, did Christ specify marriage. Christ said lusting is a sin in the heart.

Mary is not Jesus's Mom. Neither is His Josept His father.

He didn't. Adam was the first man. There was no half man and half ape.

Thankfully God helped me choose my wife in the faith and after a while God helped her choose me to be her husband in the faith. If there was matchmaking it was of God only and across several thousand miles of country between us!

25 years now of Holy Matrimony. I believe God once believers are on His same foundation can and will bless any marriage between one woman and one man.

Aborted babies go to heaven. One might wonder: will I be there to meet my child?

Has anyone found a scripture for that?

All souls belong to God. (Scripture)

I believe you meant Neither of them.. it is sort of like the couple that uses birth control but it doesn't work and she gets pregnant. Should they now consider abortion?

    Regina,

If they are teaching against an unmarried couple living together then they are correct in doing so. I have heard of unmarried couples who are living together say "We just live together until we get married, but we do not have sex?" Now that may be true, but how is the outside world going to see it? Sex before marriage is considered fornication. That is to be avoided. Even if an unmarried couple lives together and they are waiting until they are married to have sex, to the outside world, the appearance of fornication is there. The bible teaches that we are not even to give the appearance of evil. So if a pastor is teaching against unmarried couples living together, I would say amen!

Why do some preachers teach on( shacking) living together . When the couple do decide to marry they marry for this reason the fear of going to hell and they end up in this terrible relationship that either of them want to be in.

Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!

My spouse and I got married while I was not saved. I gave my heart to Jesus very early in the marriage. My spouse remained unsaved for the 14 years of our marriage. He has abused me in every way, except physically. As a result, I suffered a Major Depressive Disorder. I felt defeated and couldn't understand why God allowed him to get away with this. How come I was serving God and the satan's servant was deceiving me.

My narcissistic spouse decided that he should lie to law enforcement and the court of law, that I was abusing him. He brought two detectives into our home and had me arrested. I received an order of protection. I was more afraid for our children that was left in the home with him. I have now come to accept that God rescued me from the marriage. It is confusing that I will not be allowed to remarry while he is alive. I am content to live my life for the Lord for the rest of my life. I do find it unfair.

A year and a half after the incident, he filed for a divorce. This did not make me sad. God kept my hands clean. I honored my marriage vows. I am still struggling. We are still in divorce court and my husband still tries to hurt me. He wants us out of the marital home. No mercy to our children to allow them to live there.

God is awesome! This trial taught me how to pray with the Word. It introduced me to the power of Psalms. Opened my awareness of dreams. I have been getting dreams maybe as warnings what my spouse was doing behind my back. All Glory to God.
