Hello, do you mean 77 books? There's 66 in old and new testament. The original kjv contained the apocrypha which is another 15 books = 82. More info: Link

I've heard they found hidden books of the Bible and that there's actually 777 books. Do you have these or maybe get them?

    Thank you.

    Well written, Lisa. Thank you.

The majority of the books that make up the apocrypha were removed because their origin could not be verified. It was suspected that they were added after the fact, incorrectly, by unknown people. For instance, the one that was supposedly written by Solomon turned out to be likely written by someone else. Because they could not be verified and some it the apocrypha contradicts Biblical teaching that CAN be verified, it was removed.

I am curious as to why these books were not published in the 1611 edition of the bible.

I would like to read the text of Apocrapha
  • Stephen Lionel on 1 Esdras 1 - 4 years ago
Read this scripture first time and it seems like consistent duplication of events and personalities throughout the Holy Bible. Removing same however does not line up with God's authority and permissions. The Gospels is evidence of consistent duplications with some variations as well as the Epistles. No justification for removal!

    I totally Agree
  • Zephaniah - In Reply on 1 Esdras 1 - 4 years ago
The Apocrypha already exist before 1611. King James simply authorized its translation same as the old and new testament. It was in the previous translations as well. Without the Apocrypha we loose 400 years of history

Its been said you can Catch more Flies with
Honey than Vinger but who wants Flies they Rhyme with Lies and No doubt they have egos too and would not appreciate hearing they are Pests Yep they try to steal what is not theirs just like Satan who is the Father of Lies and those who Lie too. By Lies he seeks to deceive and confuse Gods Children.1Timothy4 Preach the Word be Instant in Season out of Season Reprove, Rebuke, Exhort with all Longsuffering and Doctrine. For the Time will come when they will not endure Sound Doctrine but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves Teachers having itching ears and they shall turn away their ears from the Truth and shall be turned unto Fables.

When I read some of the other Comments it surprised me that they didnt realise or understand why the these books were removed from the Bible. It was proven before they were removed that they were not inspired by God, He does not Contradict Himself or encourage us to believe in hearsay and fables which they contain, He tells us to reject them. He made sure these books were removed focusing on error leads to confusion. But I would like Admin to explain how Martin Luther could have said what this Website Claims when he was dead. Did I miss something or not understand dates etc why would they lie when except for some translation errors this Website is sharing in the KJV Gods Inspired Words.

Hi Bob, I read Martin Luthers Biography yes he did die in 1546 and I agree with his understanding of Gods Truth that we cant earn our Salvation but we will show we have it as confirmed by Jesus in Matthew 25:31-46 The Changes He made in his Translation were no doubt to confirm what he believed was true but I will check again on the Website that claimed he was wrongly changing Scripture. I have mostly Worshiped in other Protestant Churches so do not know much about his Reformation only that he rejected the Heresy in the Roman Catholic Church which is good, that is why I found it hard to accept he would agree with the Apocrypha it does contridict Gods Truth as we see in Jude about the Angels.
  • Seeking Gods Truth - In Reply on 1 Esdras 1 - 4 years ago
Bob are your claiming this Website is in error when it tells us that Martin Luther said; that
the Apocrypha that is books which are not regarded as equal to the Holy Scriptures etc etc. If he was dead how could he have said this, they also mention the Dead Sea Scrolls but they had error too because it was not only those who believed in God that stored their Manuscripes in the Caves. But Please
explain Bob if Martin Luther died in 1546 how did he know about the Apocrypha and have you read his German Translation of the Bible, if so you would have seen the contradictions in referance to the KJV. Are you sure Bob you are refering to the same Martin Luther If so please contact Admin.
  • Bob Hilt - In Reply on 1 Esdras 1 - 4 years ago
Martin Luther died before the King James Bible was even started so I have no idea where you get your information from. the King James was finished in 1611 and Luther died in 1546.

Strange they quote Martin Luther when, in his German Translation of the Bible he took Scriptures out of the KJV and added to them, so why would we want to Trust his advice. Also why take to Heart what is not Gods Truth it just leads to confusion.
  • Octavia on 1 Esdras 1 - 5 years ago
To the first comment, why would God have them take away from his book when he clearly states that no one should not add nor take away from his word. God is not a God of confusion. Deuteronomy 4:2 King James Version KJV 2 Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the Lord your God which I command you.

Did anybody stop to think that maybe God had the Catholics take out these books for a reason? God can use any person for His will. Maybe God had the Catholics put the KJV that we know now together the way it is for a reason. Nobody ever stops to think about that. Step out of your box.
  • Ruby Jackson on 1 Esdras 1 - 6 years ago
We, man and woman, have no right and business to add or take away from the word f God. Who do we think we are. No wonder the world is so frazzled. The gaps and misunderstandings that make the Church irrelevant is made clear to me. It isn't the "dark sinful" world or even the devil that is at fault, it's us O' Lord that is the problem and is standing in the need of prayer. Father, forgive us.

When one called by God to do his will and to walk in his perfectness, one should keep themselves from all evil or pollution, remembering that our God is a jellous God.

We need to get back into doing the feast over and take back our leadership, by teaching our kids, family members and friends about what the feast over is about.
