The word of life, from God blesses whomsoeverwill believe that God is that life, and Jesus, the prophet of that life, by his faith, showed that life enlivened the body of flesh, which is but a cloak, and is our vehicle manifested on earth, which we are responsible for to fight thru the ignorance of the past times, when we took exception to the truth that whatsoever goodness there is comes from God

Thank God that the blood of Jesus Christ, God's Son, has cleansed me from all sin and I am, therefore, clean as a whistle. White as snow. My place is secured in Heaven
  • Ian on 1 John 1 - 7 years ago
The apostle John keeps it clear. I love the way Peter and John keeps it simple to the sinner.
They express Jesus and salvation as the gift it truly is and not a religion. It just gives the weak and unlearned so much hope to press forward.

I believe that the Jesus most people worship in America is as Paul stated to the Corinthians "another Jesus." who is in reality a Deist, a racist, a sexist and a leader of the cause against antisemitism. A political and economical strategist. His kingdom is a corpratocracy. He conquerors the world by way of bloodshed. He is indeed an Antichrist, and is greed is his creed.

v6:If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: Although I've read this many times, I always tried to justify my sins. Thank God for another chance. I choose Jesus , I have surrendered ALL! Hallelujah! Once we have given our lives to Christ sin has to go. It's either we love Jesus or we love our sin. Help us Lord.

  • A disciple on 1 John 1 - 7 years ago
"That which was from the beginning...of the Word of life" For most reading the story of the beginning, it is hard to understand that when God said to the man, "..For in the day you eat thereof you shall surely die;" and then after he did eat of the tree that he was commanded not to eat, he was still allowed more than 900 years before he died. The mercy extended to us all is on account of Christ.
  • Love on 1 John 1 - 7 years ago
WORD: it is true that we should not believe in man. However, the bible in Ephisians 4:11 teaches that God gave apostles, preachers, teachers, some pastors for the perfecting of the saints, the work of the ministry and the edifying of the body of Christ. Yes we must be aware that some may come in sheep's clothing but one must study God's word and ask for the holy spirit to guide us in all truths

  • A disciple on 1 John 1 - 7 years ago
Hi Vanessa; Yes, it is a mystery how God could love us, beyond is hatred of what we have become because of sins and the spiritual darkness keeping the world in bondage to the heathen and Satan! Whenever the Lord taught about seeking that which was lost; (a coin, a sheep, a son); that's what so touches me and makes me wonder at Him! Sadly, but a few will find that kind of touch and be saved!
  • Vanessa on 1 John 1 - 7 years ago
to truly understand why Christ came and to die for us sinners, once we except him faithfully and then we shall sin no more as he told the woman to go and sin no more , I love the Lord Jesus, and as in psalms 103 remember his covenant, and for us that remember his commandments. Pray for all so that their eyes be opened, so they may live a blessed life filled with grace Amen
  • Wayne on 1 John 1 - 7 years ago
Christians aren't prone to sinning. That's why the begotten Son of God died on the cross. He cancelled sin in spirit and the flesh. Christians are to purify themselves as in 1 John 3: 1-3. 1 John 3: 6 states He that abideth in Him sinneth not, he that sinneth hath not seen Him neither known Him.
  • Willa on 1 John 1 - 7 years ago
If we walk in the in the light of his word others see it and we are good steward. We must be humble and realize we need to go directly to the source, our Savior and His word and not relie on others who may or may mot have learned faults teaching.

All of us fall short, in our walk, We can't leave a window up for Satan , to come in, he's Temptations, never stop , But With Jesus Christ as our Advocate , who intercedes I'n our behalf, we can Repent and he is Faithful to Cleanse us all unrighteousness, Thanks for Blood That was Shed on Calvary, That washes away all Sins .

Thank you Jesus for your sacrifice on the cross.I want to know you more and have a closer walk with you. I redeticated my life to you this day. I repent of my sins and ask you to teach me your ways so that my family and others can see you in me.
  • Word on 1 John 1 - 8 years ago
CDS I found that If you read the scriptures read them in the simplicity that Christ teaches. Don't listen to preachers and if someone tells you he is ordained or says he is a minister, walk away because they preach what they are told and then they begin to believe what they get fed from their main office thats putting out. Listen to Christ get an old 1972 or before Exhaustive Strong's Concordance.
  • Felicia on 1 John 1 - 8 years ago
Verse 9 So we have a duty to admit that we are prone to sin and therefore to make conscious efforts to confess our sins sincerely. Thank you for your word, Lord.

I am so happy I have a FATHER IN HEAVEN, that loves me and forgives me of my sins and allows me to be washed and made brand new.
  • George Medina on 1 John 1 - 8 years ago
The bible is the living word of God, 1 John and the rest of the bible shows God love for us. But we must begin at the beginning. Repent, turn to God, ask for forgiveness, ask him to give us his holy Spirit and begin to live like a person who has repented of his former lifestyle. For God so loved you he gave his only begotten Son to be crucified for you that you believing might be saved. God is lov

To Bruce - Thank-you for taking the time to answer my query about "..... you will know; impossible not to know." I've known for2 1/2 yrs.; I'm just sorry you couldn't help me more (had I not already been saved) by giving me salvation scripture - such as Matt.28:19 and Acts 2:37-38.
