I do not believe that biblically God used Satan to purify us. We have freedom of Will

The true God gives by love and belief in the truth the devil steals kills and destroys that is his only Goal. Look at jn 10:9+10 there you have the two opposites more abundant life Jesus Christ or steal kill destroy the adversary. remember God is all good and has no darkness in Him and is the Giver of all life also the last enemy to be destroyed is death a trait of the devil. Mans personal enemy

Will do anything to blame the true God for things he does not do and make no mistake out enemy knows the scripture but changes it to suit His benefit and He's really good at it.

Just to add. God is the head of everything. In Job 1:12 God allowed Satan to touch all Job's possessions but not to touch his body. And later in Job 2vs6. God allowed Satan to touch his body but not to kill him. Satan cannot do anything without God's command. Our lives is a picture of Job's life. We too will be tested to see how faithful we are to Jesus. God uses Satan to purify us. God will use our worst enemy to make us grow. Our nosy neighbour, horrible boss and even the tax man or government.

There is another "will" at work in the world. He has NO plans for salvation or healing. His Old Testament name, Lucifer; but is called Satan now. He is a created angel. Not human. He has a free will also.

He is the One the scriptures describe:

    John 10:10

The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

    Luke 18:20

Thou knowest the commandments, Do not commit adultery, Do not kill, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Honour thy father and thy mother.

In the Book of Job you will clearly see that Satan seeks to hurt people; even kill them or cause them to be killed. He's the one who causes bad things to hurt good people or children.

God is not doing it. Satan has free will just as we do.

If we follow God: Receive Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord; He will protect us.

There is no other way to escape Satan's deceptions and false illusions. No offense, just suppose bu iif tv, satellite and internet are your God that you look to for entertainment and comfort; You are in danger. Come away and follow Jesus.

One can only surmise, as God's Wisdom is beyond anything we can have. So my answer is purely based on the Scriptures I read & the Spirit's guidance.

Genesis 1:26 tells us that "God made man in His Own Image, after His Likeness". This means that He has given us the qualities that He possesses within Himself (Truth, Compassion, Love, Forgiveness, Choice, Reasoning, etc. etc.). Adam & Eve would have possessed these qualities but when they fell into sin, those qualities became tainted & they fell short of what God intended for them & how they should live & behave.

What if God prevented Satan from approaching Adam & Eve, so that they wouldn't be in a place of testing & possible failure? Could such an action by God be considered reasonable, given that He gave His new creation all His attributes? If He denied them this confrontation by Satan, would God have to continue to guard them & their descendants from the evil one? Or maybe, God could have just locked Satan & his followers away for good right after they sinned against Him, & prevented us from facing this aspect of sinning because of wrong choices?

The reason I believe what prevented God from acting in the ways suggested above, is simply because He didn't want to remove any of His attributes, however marred, from within man or remove man from any wrong external influences; He expected that man, given his power of choice & with his desire to only serving His Creator, would either fulfil God's Plan perfectly, or if he should fail, that he would one day come back to a place of sorrow, repentance & restoration back to God.

And of course, we know that God had chosen a special people to place His Love upon them & to given them His Law to direct them to Him & for their course of living. And then later, the provision of His Son for our full & eternal redemption. So it was God's Plan, that whether in sin or holy living, mankind would find full forgiveness, godly living & a restored relationship, as He desires for us.

Alex, It is you who has taken the word of God out of context, so as to further the lie you teach. Saved by the fire, regardless of what a person believes, is not by faith in Christ to have paid for sins. Jesus did say, "it is finished", that is, the work of salvation which he finished on the cross. "Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God." Hebrews 12:2 "And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him;" Hebrews 5:9, not ALL, as you say, will enter eternity as saved. Alex, you diminish the sacrifice of Jesus.

While I address this reply to Alex, I know he will not hear. But this forum is open to many others who come here with an intent to hear and see God's word. It is no surprise that agents of Satan will be here to slander God's word. They operate as the fowls following the sower, to take away the seed of truth. Luke 8:12

Comments by Alex about the Words of our Lord. Addressed to Bill, We cannot make void the Words of our lord Bill by using scriptures that are out of context with what our lord said. Remember our Lord said John baptised you with water but i will baptise you with the H.G. AND FIRE and our God is a consuming fire that is gona consume our old adamic nature . The FLESH And Jesus also said i come to bring FIRE on the earth impling on man which is symbolic of the earth ,the 1st man was of the earth earthly as our God is a consuming fire . Our Flesh is our carnal mind which is in rank with Satan . Thats what is gona be consumed. Remember it was the foreskin ( the flesh ) only that was cast into the fire. The FLESH IS OUR HEARTS thats y he wants to give us a new heart and a new spirit, its the result of his Words which are his Seeds that are gona be sown in our hearts . Bill you are not understanding what JESUS said Every sinner will have their part in the lake of fire, not a maybe but a must simply b/c every man carries the stain and the spot of adam no exceptions thus every man will be baptised with the FIRE of the H.G. and it cannot be negated no matter how religious you are. or how BIG A CHURCH YOU ATTEND. Shame on you bill trying to negate the words of our lord . That lake of fire is for every body , there is not anybody too good for the lake of fire. Our God is a consuming fire but our God is also LOVE. If ya can hear it his wraft is simply his LOVE for humanity . Whom the lord loveth he chasens meaning his baptism of the H.G AND FIRE BUT ITS A GOOD FIRE SIMPLY B/C ITS HIS LOVE .God so loved the world etc. Bill you asked if any souls are lost for eternity and the answer is all adamic natures which are in rank with Satan are lost for ever.its only satan and his angels that are gona be lost for Eternity, Ya remember it was only the forskin that was cast into the fire lost for ever but not the man made in the image of God. ok lemme go.....love ya Bill gbu
  • Mild Bill on 1 John 4 - 4 years ago
Alex, Again you err. "our old adamic nature has to be destroyed with that baptism of fire" - Not so. Our reconcilliation is, " in the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblamable and unreprovable in his sight." Colossians 1:21&22

Thank you Diana for coming here to enquire about this important subject: many are not so careful in this matter & suffer much hurt. We won't learn about 'dating' in the Bible because in eastern cultures, particularly in those early days, dating wasn't acceptable nor done; so a girl or boy remained single, chaste, living in the family home & at the appropriate time a partner was found for them. As it is today also, however in the West we would frown upon such a system, but I find there can be a balance.

As a new believer, you will want to please the Lord in your life as well as keep your mind & body devoted to Him. I'm unsure what specific problems you're having now, but I share what I feel should be the pattern for Christian young people. As a young person, your primary focus should be on your studies (if at school), or on developing your career, & just knowing that you may have a lot of maturing to do before properly handling (serious) relationships.

Many young people, particularly girls, get caught in traps that hurt them, or spoils them, & leaving permanent scars. Girls are quite vulnerable & some boys take advantage of this. And this becomes even more evident when mixing with boys that are not Christians, who may have values & an upbringing that don't fall in line with the Bible. But if you meet with a Christian youth group, then you can really get to know each other & make lasting friendships, which may lead to the Lord providing you someone from there. Don't be in a rush to date, even if other girls are doing so - remember you want to hear & be led of God to the right person in His time. And if on a date, go somewhere or do things together that don't put you in a difficult compromising position; i.e. have others around you. And sex is a no-no. Preserve the body the Lord has given you for the young man that He will give you one day. On your wedding night, you both will appreciate your mutual fidelity & singular love for each other. 1 Corinthians 6:18-20.

Yes, John is writing to Christians in his epistle. And yet the truth of love is upon each person, whether Christian or the non-Christian who claims to know & love God: that true love for God demands a love for one another. Or else, how can that earthly love be real when we claim to love God, Who can't be felt or seen.

But what does that Love entail? This is a pure, holy, Christlike love. One that reaches out to a brother, sister or anyone in need: whether for comfort, provision, practical help, or whatever. The opposite of that is, turning away from the needy, even when the Spirit impresses upon the believers' heart to go forward & minister to him/her. And in extreme cases, even when considering our own lives when another is about to perish, thus we hold back. I know this can be difficult as many factors come into play, but we need to keep tender hearts towards all people, regardless on how we're treated, reaching out to them as Christ would have done & expects us to do. And yes, we are all still growing in this area & hopefully maturing into the fullness of Christ's Love in us & through us.

"is come" is and imperfect tense meaning GOD came in the flesh and "is" still coming in the flesh today. Christ in you the hope of glory ( Col 1:27). Jesus said I AM the Alpha the Omega the beginning and the end which is which was which is to come THE ALMIGHTY Rev 1:8

Jesus said "I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I AM HE, ye shall die in your sins" You must confess that Jesus (I) AM (He) The One True God or you will die in your sins. In Isaiah 43:10 God says you are a witness that the servant he has chosen that you may know, believe, and understand that I (God) AM (He) Jesus. The Son of God is the Father manifested in the flesh.

But then again you can only call Jesus LORD by the Holy Ghost (1 Corn 12:3) so until the Holy Ghost shows you,, but you should looking to God for answers not a MAN. Praying for you

Hi. Just read your page about the anti-christ, of which you post a list of possible candidates. Unless I missed something, why isn't Bill Gates on your list? Microsoft owns "Patent 060606" -- He's heavily invested in micro-chipping quantum/ nano-technology; and one vaccine with an enzyme called "LUCIFERASE". His vaccines have injured thousands over the years. He's controlling the entire world right now. People trust him. He giggles, smiles & grins when he's questioned about his so-called "save the world vaccines". Can you NO SEE WHAT IS RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOUR EYES?

    Fwd:

Simon Peter, a servant and an apostle of Jesus Christ, to them that have obtained like precious faith with us through the righteousness of God and our Saviour Jesus Christ:

Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord,

According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:

Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

    And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge;

    And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness;

And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity.

For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins.

Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall:

For so an entrance shall be ministered unto you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. ( 2 Peter 1:1-11)

I love your words. They are indeed the essence of faith. A "feeling" is much different , than from "knowing" Him. I'm thinking that new comers feel defeated when they fail. Christ expects us to ask for forgiveness. He is faithful and just to forgive our sins.

The Bible tells us in so many ways that,"God is love." God is also perfect. Perfect love casteth out fear. God casts out fear and will cut the ties that it holds on your heart if you'll but let Him. You've got to keep trusting God no matter how you feel because Faith cannot be summed up into a feeling, Faith will keep trusting even when you can't feel or see God. The teacher is always quiet during the test but, the teacher also doesn't leave the room.

    1 John 4 v15

It says that who ever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God , if you add to Jesus here you are not confessing He is the Son of God .

You would be creating another Jesus . You can not add to the written word of God in statements like this one . 1 John 4 Verse 15 without being in error .

I don't have I'll will toward any person , you seem to have Good heart , All the best to those that seek God in sincerity and truth .

I must say the Bible has been maligned terribly since even the apostles time .

But the word of God is still true and Jesus is at the fathers right hand interceding !

If God be for us who can be against us ! I'm very happy in the Lord !
  • Richard in Christ - In Reply on 1 John 4 - 4 years ago
God Bless you Rob. I am also what God made me. As we all are. I also know that the Lord is the one and only true Judge. Of everything. As the Father committed all judgement unto the Son. Whether you believe that or not is up to you. Why are you judging, condemning, me saying "I can tell you have very little knowledge of the Bible in truth"? Again you are exalting yourself. That you know the "truth" and I don't? Do you think our Father loves you more than me? It saddens me to see this. Do you know of the several teachings of Christ to not exalt yourself? To humble yourself?

I am also going to state this. As others may look down upon me also. But it is the truth. I do not fear my Father in Heaven. I love Him with everything that I am. All I want to do is what He wants me to do. His Will. What makes Him happy. If He wants to destroy me I know He is all powerful and can do anything He wants. And if that's what He want's then I do too. It's about Him not me.

I do not want any to perish. Even the most wicked person. But that all shall come to repentance. This is the Will of the Lord. I pray for everyone. Because the Lord has lead me to do so. I am His. Take care Rob.
  • Rob - In Reply on 1 John 4 - 4 years ago
    Thanks Richard !

First off I am what I am by the grace of God . I'm a very different person now then before . I trust the Lord to be my judge on how I serve him .

God is love at heart , but trust me he can be terrifying as well . So better to be on Gods good side because he is going to destroy his enemies.

I can tell you have very little knowledge of the Bible in truth . But that's nothing unusual these days . Keep at it and always pray to God in Jesus name that He teach you and make you what he wants you to be . His will not ours , like the lord Jesus said and did !

When I first started reading the Bible , all I knew was it was the truth and Gods word .

They said a lot of bad things about the Lord and we will get it to . Fear not man but God .

If you understand that God said this is my beloved Son! What more does a person need ?
  • Chris - In Reply on 1 John 4 - 4 years ago
There's no verse to say we must 'believe' in the Deity of Christ, but there are ample verses to show the Deity of Christ, as has been given in other discussions with you Rob.

However, since you mentioned 1 John 4:15 showing "Jesus as the Son of God", let's not forget verses 2 & 3, "Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God: And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world."

If you've done a study of 1 John, you would have seen that Gnostic teaching was rife & intruding into the Church, hence this urgent epistle by John. There are many facets to Gnosticsm & one branch, Docetism, had this devilish teaching that "the incarnation is incredible because Deity cannot unite itself with anything material, such as a body". Hence John gave out this urgent & stern warning as we read in verses 1-3 to always "test the spirits whether they are of God, because false prophets (& specifically the teachers holding to Gnostic beliefs) are gone out into the world".

And how would the believers know how to discern which spirit was speaking? John says, It is "God's Spirit (through the teacher) that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh". Did these false teachers deny the physical Jesus? No. Jesus' presence on Earth was both an historical & real experience that none could deny. The denial came when that physical Body was taught to be united to God since it was impossible for God, so Holy & Pure, to join Himself with anything of the flesh. John clarifies that this is the evil coming forth from such spirits that want to lessen the full value & beauty of Jesus coming as God's Son from God, by simply confining Him to a fleshly existence. Some even proposed that only a spiritual Jesus was on Earth & the Crucifixion was effected by just a man.
  • Richard in Christ - In Reply on 1 John 4 - 4 years ago
    Rob,

Please take this in all kindness, peacefulness, and gentleness. Where is the verse that says we need to believe Jesus Christ only began to exist when he was born on earth? Please don't come back at me and curse me trying to say only what you perceive is the truth. It seems different people have different ways of interpreting Jesus Christ. But if some of us are simply believing what John the Baptizer, Christs Apostles, and Jesus Christ Himself said in the Bible. Then you are simple not believing all of them either. And just want to believe in your own idea. Which really, to me, is fine. As long as we acknowledge Jesus Christ as Lord and the Messiah sent from our Father in Heaven. That died on the cross for our sins. Why so much going back and forth about this? We are not going to change our views(which is backed up by many Scriptures) and I doubt you are going to change your view.

So again please don't take this harshly by any means. Instead of arguing or telling other people they believe a lie from the devil. Maybe we should praise the Lord in some way. I'll leave this one verse for everyone. John 5:23 God Bless.
