The bible tells us that many will not receive truth. This is heavenly not earthly a fleshly mine can't comprehen the things of God. The bible tell us they are one why are you trying to disect them the bible say 1Tim.3:16 And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness was manifest in the flesh justified in the Spirit, seen of angel preached unto to, believed on on into the world, received up into glory. Plan as the nose on your face. Stop try to put it together in your mind. Have to seek God for he is not from this world. The bible say His thoughts are are not like our, His ways are not like ours. Not trying to change anyone mind. If God can't know one can. Must first be born again seek his face an pray and he will give you understanding. Some of us don't believe the Holy Ghost is for us that's the comforter Jesus was speaking of.This world is blinded by the devil that we will not truth God at his word. We want to see it way and not God. This way is a suffering way but God gives us joy along the way. Need to get in his will. He will give us to know Him after the Spirit because he that hunger and thrist after righteousness shall be fill.

Further proves what was provided on the cross. That in it He still provides the truth and also a choice. He loved us so that He gave His only begotten Son. You have to think what is provided should you choose not to believe. A loving God whom desire for you, is to choose Him. It is not a loving God whom whom wants you to choose sin, but that price was paid so you have a choice. I think it wise that everybody should choose the Christ. God hopes you will too. He (God) bids you to come. I do everyday and some times all day I'll go to the garden alone and He meets me there... every time.

We are saved by believing that Jesus is the Son of the living God. Jesus is not God. He is His Son. Jesus is the word of God manifested in the flesh to bring salvation to them that believe on His name and call upon Him.
Jesus says in John 5:37-40 "And the Father himself, which hath sent me, hath borne witness of me. Ye have neither heard his voice at any time, nor seen his shape.
38 And ye have not his word abiding in you: for whom he hath sent, him ye believe not.
39 Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me."
Don't let the word become a stumblingblock. In that day many are going to come before Jesus and say didn't we testify in your name and cast out devils and Jesus is going to say "depart from me all ye workers of iniquity. I never knew ye." The only people Jesus is going to accept are the ones who had the faith to trust and believe that He is the Son of the living God.

40 And ye will not come to me, that ye might have life.

A christian bother may need prayers when he is down with a problem or a sickness. So, when his problem attracts other brothers for prayers,God who has the power to classify sins would reveal to them whether they should pray or not.No Christian brother can detect the class of sin of a fellow brother by his own observation and inspection. The case of Ananias and saphira is a good example of sin unto death.Classing sins is a holyghost affair. We cannot ask him why he judged Ananias & Saphira that way and overlook some that are stealing church money because He is all knowing.

you have to remember folks---God is a spirit!!!!! and the spirit became flesh!!!!!! in Mathew 28:19 name is singular not plural!!!! any way ( father, son, and Holy spirit) are not names they are titles !!! have you been to school to know that? also the word of God says that there is one God and if there were another he would have told us and there is no other setting beside him if so he would tell us!!!!!!!!

This verse shows how powerful of a hold that the wicked one, Satan, has on the entire world. When we see the vile and satanic things that happen in the world, this scripture definitely comes to be more clearly understood. That is one reason that we have to fight against being a part of this wicked world by not imitating its attitude, actions, or speech in our own lives.

This passage lets the believer know that we are to arrive at the point were we are not sinning and that the Holy spirit gives us that power all we have to do is believe and want it
  • Lance Mahan on 1 John 5:7 - 11 years ago
John 4:24 God is a spirit. That is why no one has ever seen God in fullness.

John 1:1 In the beginning was the word and the word was with God and and the word was GOd.

John 1:14 The word was made flesh and dwelt among us.

If God is the word and dwelt among us then who is GOd? Jesus would be the flesh.

Isaiah 9:6 For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

He is the Father, Son and God.

Rev 1:8 and 11 Iam the Alpha and Omega the beginning and the ending, and whish was, which is to come , the Almighty.

11:Saying I am the first and last: etc.......

Isaiah 44:6 Thus saith the Lord King of Israel, and his redeemer the Lord of hosts; I am the first, and I am the lasts and besides Me there is no other GOd.

Only one GOd and He was made flesh and He is the first and Last. Jesus spoke it in Revelation that He was Fist and last.

Only one God, Isaiah speaks of One God and in John 5:7 the three are ONE. The reason Jesus is praying to the father is that He was also flesh and the flesh was not Glorified yet. Yet Jesus did not sin because He couldn't because He was GOd.

This is why Peter can say in Acts what name to be baptized by. Peter knew Jesus as God and His name is above all names.

The Holy Spirit is what we call a possessive adjective. There's only one way of saying a possessive adjective in the Old Testament times. The Spirit of the Lord. The Spirit of God. The spirit of Elijah. The day of the Lord. But, there are two ways of saying the same thing in the Greek, that is: the Spirit of the Lord or the Lord's spirit. The Spirit of God or God's spirit. The spirit of Elijah just Elijah's spirit. The day of the Lord or the Lord's Day. When it comes to gender there are two genders, masculine and feminine. There are there no neuter gender. However, in English, there are three genders. Let's look at a sripture. Matthew 16:18 "And I also say to you that you are Peter on this rock I will build my Church the forces of Hades will not overpower it." Most people are not able to read the Greek so I will call attention to a Spanish version. If you look into the equivalent Spanish version it will say in the last part of verse "y las puertas del Hades no prevaleceran contra ella." That means "The gates of Hell will not prevail against her." the same thing happens in the Greek. The church takes on a feminine ending.the The translators change all the feminine and masculine endings on any neuter gender that they knew were inanimate objects to "it." However, when they came to the Holy Spirit they left the gender the same and capitalize the word Holy Spirit. Luke 3:22 says, "John saw God's Spirit descending like a dove and resting up in Jesus." Matthew 3:11 says, "I baptize you with water but one who is more powerful than I is coming and he will baptize you with the Holy Spirit." You don't want to be baptized with a person but you want to be baptized with the power and your spiritual essence of that person: the spirit and power of Almighty God. Denounce the doctrine of the Trinity. It is false doctrine. It is polytheism. I have been to Bible College and was taught this doctrine of the Trinity, but the Bible does not teach it. So, I dumped it.

The water is Jesus' baptism that fufill all rigteousness Matthew 3:15. The blood paid for our sins Romans 4:25; Hebrews 9:22. The spirit bears witness about it. Matt. 3:16. This is the bases for our salvation.

It is absolutely true. Any person who is chosen by the Lord, will have the wisdom to understand not only 1 John Chapter 5, the entire Holy Bible from Genesis to Revelation.

I would suggest, any person who would like to know if a Bible is a genuine one or not let that person compare 1 JOHN CHAPTER 5 VERSUS 7 AND 8 with the one you have. All other Bibles are NOT/NOT HOLY AS WE THINK. WORDS ARE TWISTED AND VERY DECIEVING. BY CAREFUL, THE SON OF GOD, JESUS CHRIS, THE MESSIAH SAID, "DON'T BE DECIEVED!"
God loves you do HIS WILL.

I just know a fact that was told by Jesus, and the apostles and Paul. The fact is that you can only know these spiritial mysteries by the Spirit, and you will never know except you have the Spirit. The easy advise I can give is if you Truly have a Heart For God and the Truth,The Spirit will show you all things if you search for them, and without the Spirit you will never Know because it's ALL Spiritial! AMEN

    @Ron Steward,
A lot of good comments here all about one God but what do you do with John 3:16 “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son.......” Can you be your own son. Can you give yourself to yourself. And Genesis Where it says "Let Us make man in our Own image. Does God talk to himself? And David said "The Lord said unto my Lord sit the on my right hand......" Again, does God talk to Himself? There are three God-heads but these three are as one. This is hard for flesh to comprehend as we cannot imagine three people acting as one person so much so that you would think it was just one person but this is exactly what the Trinity is. 1 John 4:15 "Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God." I confess that Jesus is the son of God. How can you be your own son? It is wrong, How you made it as trinity Where Bible said that Father, Son, and Spirit are one?

All unrighteousness is sin, and there is a sin not unto death. We that are spiritual are to seek to restore in the spirit of meekness, less we be tempted, the one who has committed a sin not leading to death. Matthew 12:31 refers to that generation that rejected Jesus Christ, they committed the sin unto death. It is true if you die in unbelief, you have committed the sin of blasphemy. We will only know once we get to heaven, and stand before the Savior who shall declare what every man shall receive. We are to examine ourselves, and see that we are in the Faith. These things are written that we sin not, but if any man sins we have an Advocate with the Father, who is Jesus Christ, the righteous one.
  • Tosyn on 1 John 5:7 - 11 years ago
I really like the comment made by Wayne T's. He said people should go and check for themselves if those things are true. He even gave names of extant MS. But the question is 'Why is it that people don't like to research something'? Why am I labelled heretic because i don't believe in paganistic view of God as a 'Triune' God? Why is it difficult to believe what the scripture says about Christ -'God manifest in the flesh'. So who manifest in the flesh? 2nd person of trinity? If your answer is yes, then how can Paul says that in Christ dwells the fullness of godhead bodily? If the second person was incarnated and not YHWH, the only true God, then how can the fulness of godhead dwells in Christ? can't you see that we are reducing Christ from who he really is by Triune God? can't you see that the scripture does not support any form of tri-personality in one as claimed by Tertullian? Do you think the apostles who were strictly monotheistic in their believe have this trinity idea? If you are confuse by some scriptures that make it seems that God is more than one person, isn't it a good opportunity for you to prove all things and hold on to that which is true? I know Christology is the main issue that caused confusion to some Greek converted philosophers. Hence they had to resort to their own view of the Logos to explain who Jesus is. For the recored from the scripture, Jesus is the manifestation of the ONLY true God in human flesh. This is the mystery. The trinity is not the mystery, but a paganistic view of God. The Father is exclusive Spirit. He is father because of incarnation, He begot a Son in time, a genuine human being with flesh and soul. However, Jesus is that same exclusive Spirit adding humanity to his deity. Now this is where the distinction comes from and not in any kind of eternal distinction. Yes the plan had been with God what He would do in time, hence 'the Lamb of God that was slain before the foundation of the world'. Was any lamb really slain before Jesus died on the cross? This is what God in His foreknowledge knew he would do in time. Fellow christians, I know in time if God wills we'll all come to the knowledge of who God really is, or at least in heaven, but to start supporting something without diligent studies and labeling it as the Orthodox Christianity is not only arrogant but misleading. The Roman Catholic church has a lot of questions to answer to God. They really did a lot of damage to the true church's beliefs. My prayer is that God will open our heart of understanding, that Christ may dwell in our hearts, that we may know what is the length, breadth, the height of the love of God that pass all understanding. When Christ returned to heaven, even the angels at the gate queried 'Who is this Lord of glory'? And Christ replied "the Lord of host" "the Lord strong and mighty" is the Lord of glory! So if the angels never knew this mystery at the time in question, who am I to blame humans with a faulty view of who the Lord of Glory is? I leave you with this: Deut 6:4 - Hear oh Israel, YHWH is our God. YHWH is one. God bless you.

I believe that God has given us new life which is in his son. Paul says we are a new creation in Christ Jesus, 2 Corinthians 5:17. That means we are totally transformed to be a new creature. Life is in the blood, so when you receive Christ, you become his child not born by the will of man but by his spirit. When God created man he breathed into him. When man sinned, the life of God in him left. During Pentecost, God breathed again to give each one of us his life through Christ. How we receive it is only by faith. In John 20:9-20, Jesus did it again to his fellows and said receive the holy spirit and breathed on them. Thank you and God bless you.

I so much love this scripture, it assures us of our eternal and indestructible life, if we have JESUS. Moreover we have light, insight, foresight and victory in this life in accordance to John 1:4.
