I have another question that does not really have anything to do with this chapter, but how do you know when the lord answers your prayers.

Last verse, made me think that someone should destroy, blow up, Moloch the horned owl idol statute in bohemian grove California. Ever notice that when a man of God in old testament times destroyed an Idol a great move of God fallowed. I believe if Moloch the idol was destroyed in bohemian grove California, the great evil clutches of Satanists all across our nation would be defeated, including coronavirus.

Thank you for the detailed answer Brother.
The last verse you quoted from Galatians 5:18, or in fact I read from the first verse all the way to the 18th verse those are not Jesus words, but Pauls.
He is talking about circumcision, Jesus never said dont circumcise your children.
Paul seems to have created his own law and sourced Jesus Christ who never said them.
    Very interesting.

    True not really new commandments
Someone asked Jesus what was the most important commandment.
Matthew 22:36 - Master, which is the great commandment in the law?
Mat 22:37 - Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
Mat 22:38 - This is the first and great commandment.

Mat 22:39 - And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
Mat 22:40 - On these two commandments hang ALL the law and the prophets.
    Yet
Galatians 5:18 But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law.

    Hi,
Jesus didn't come with new commandments, all He asked his followers was to follow the commandments Moses came with, and Jesus also said if you want eternal life follow the commandments and the most and foremost commandment according to him was Shama Israel; (Your Lord is one).

The reason the churches are powerless today is because: "A house divided against itself cannot stand". Why does mankind insist on creating a doctrine of man rather that accepting the Word for what it is, and stop trying to bring Yah down to their level by keeping Him in a box?

I was commenting on the Holy Ghost Avenue to earth in vs 7 it speaks of 3 that bear record in heaven the Father the Word the Holy Ghost and these three are one God begat a Son His spirit was in His Son the death of His Son left his spirit which is Holy Ghost the spirit of the father into the Son into the Holy Ghost 3 in 1. On the earth the same 3 the spirit God the water Jesus the blood the spirit of the crucified Son of God may not be what you are looking for

I was taught that this text is the "Nutshell" text. It explains salvation through Christ alone in the fewest and most concise words available. It is a wonderful text to memorize for decipleship.

Ronnie its all Cults that don't believe in The Godhead 1Col 2:9 or Trinity as They are called today. This means they are not believing in Jesus Christ The Living Word in Rev19:13 and they cant call Him Lord 1Cor 12:3 - Ps23 so they dont have the Holy Ghost. They also dont believe Jesus indwells us they say we are in Unity with Him. Cults delete the original 1John 5:7 in their Translations which says For there are Three that bear Record in Heaven The Father, The Word and The Holy Ghost and these Three are One. Jesus also tells us in Jn10:30 He and The Father are One. They are One in Spirit but have differant Roles in The Godhead. Our Abba Father who Loves us will be in Authority Eternally.

  • God's Truth not Man's error on 1 John 5 - 5 years ago
Cults reject Scriptures which confirm The Godhead or Trinity yet They are confirmed asTruth in V7 and others Some too not yet reconized as Cults claim they were not in the original and have deleted Scriptures added and changed words Rev22 they continue to do this in their latest Translations. They claim Psalm23 is not about Jesus but He confirms in Jn10 He is The Good Shepherd and confirms1Jn5:7.

Sir, when you say, eternal life by accepting Jesus dont you think it is in contradiction to what Jesus says to the Jewish man, "If you want eternal life follow the commandments." Jesus could have said follow me if you want eternal life.
  • Ramachandran Pastor on 1 John 5 - 5 years ago
Certainly we know by faith that eternal life is only in His son Jesus Christ, and this life we have received through faith in Jesus, He has saved us by His grace made us His sons the day we repented for our sins. Jesus alone has the power to forgive our sins, because He sacrificed His life on the cross, buried and rose again on third day. He is no more there in the grave, He is our risen Savior.

    V. 17 all unrighteousness is SIN. Through Jesus, we have forgiveness of sin-past-present-future, Only God can perform this because He is outside of time and space and knows the end from the beginning. Amen.
  • Behold the lamb of GOD on 1 John 5 - 5 years ago
JP what sin? Christians do not have sin. Reread 1 John 5:18 above? Also Bible 101: Behold the LAMB of God who taketh away the sins? Do not miss. John 1:29 . If He took them away, there are none. Behold means "see". See verse 4 above too,we are born of God and have overcome the world. The TRUE GOD is "eternal life" has a son Jesus. That is not an idol. We know truth. Understand 1 John 5:20.

blasphemy against the Holy Ghost. for those who insist in calling God a trinity of Gods I suggest you read the 43rd and44th chapters of the book of Isaiah. also if you are going to quote the KJV Bible the term is the Holy Ghost
  • JP on 1 John 5 - 5 years ago
Tricia, this sin unto death John is talking about a physical death not a spiritual death, when a Christian that has a particular sin that he or she refuses to repent of and rather die then repent of that particular sin. We cannot loose our salvation but God could take us home early.
  • Tricia on 1 John 5 - 5 years ago
Verse 16 says "There is a sin unto death", and later says we aren't to pray about that! What IS the sin he's speaking of? Any thoughts? Could it be blasphemy of the Holy Ghost? That is the only thing I have found that says there is no forgiveness for! ( Matthew 12:31)
