there are times in life when we have to be alone so that god can show us that he will never forsake us or leave us it is in our darkest hour he will subs-tan us not only with food and water but by allowing us to be a blessing to others even when we don 't feel up to the part, we must keep working on the kingdom, for greater is he who is in me than he that is in the word

I have learner, that our time of crisis is the only opportunity to utilize Gods words. Never give in to our own perceptions.

This is a great chapter, my spirit was lifted when I was reading it, whatever we are passing through God knows and He is closer than we ever think, we should not give room to depression at all, I also learnt to be positive while in difficult situation ,Elisha replaced Elijah because he wish for death.

I see a lot of myself in Elijah. Just in the previous chapter, God had manifested himself in providing fire for the sacrifice and defeating Baal. When he is then threatened by Jezebel, who swears by the same powerless Baal, he runs for his life and asks God to kill him. Two important lessons: Miracles don't necessarily save us. Satan uses the opportunity of miracles to try and cast greater doubt in out souls. But praise God for His grace, He never leaves us. In His mercy He doesn't slay Elijah as per His request but ensures he is well fed and sends him back to the ground. When in distress, count your blessings, think of how God has led you in the past, for only then will your eyes be opened to see how much God still surrounds you and His angels minister to you.

1 Kings 19:15a 'go, return on your way to the wilderness.' could perhaps infer to wait on the Lord, a time of testing and trying and then come back refreshed by the Lord,.. feeling stronger having found himself again in the Lord.

I've learned that no matter what we go threw if we can just put our trust in the Lord. God will give us all we need for our battles. We must learn to at all times praise the Lord.

I find this 19th Chapter of 1 Kings to be very encouraging, especially when you feel that you are the only one experiencing what you are and you want to just quit and throw in the towel (as I have on so many occasions. But I have learned through prayer and supplication that the Word of God can and will sustain you if you totally and relentlessly seek his face and don't give in to doubt, disbelief, and dispair . His Word is True He will never leave nor forsake you. Right now that's my only hope; Taking God at his word

Communion with the Lord comes to my mind. Eat, Drink and his Meat. Elijah was told to eat, drink and go on the Meat for Forty days,

To me this chapter is representation of how we should digest God's Word on a daily basis and stay full, until we are called to our heavenly home.

I think that this is great chapter i was feeling like Elijah. I was feeling depressed and alone that i was not doing Gods will for when I witness or uplift someone it like they don't want to hear.
they just want to stay in the muck and the mire.
but now as i read this chapter through the holy spirit i dont feel depressed. For God just showed me Iam not alone that he is always with me in Jesus name amen.
