it is simply outstanding that a request void of self would generate such great promse of God.it is just amazing that God still prepares for man great riches if we obey, sacrifice right and pray righty that by the word of God
I would love for GOD to give just some of the wisdom that HE gave to Solomon and I would love to be able to discern the good and the evil that is around us.
just as the Bible teaches that wisdom without Christ is empty, this passage teaches that wisdom without God given love is empty. how would Solomon have been viewed if love had not removed the verdict? Praise our loving God.
When we learn to stop asking GOD for frivolous things and as for those things that are righteous and good that will bring glory to GOD HE is faithful and just to give us not only that thing which we ask of HIM but so much more according to HIS riches in HEAVEN
In this verse i see the principle of asking and receiving it rily works watever u ask 4rm God he gives u exactly that and there is also bonus from that so let us not stop asking God for he is faithfull,he myt be knowing wat u want but he wants 2 hear 4rm u...... james 1 vs 4~6 ,mathew 7 vs 7~11, john 14 vs 13, 1st chronicles 4 vs 10
For we should love god...and walk in his love.......acknowledge......him in ur life......for he does not dissapoint.greater is he that is in us then he in the world..........
1 Kings 3 is teaching two important things; first we can do the will of God with the help of the Holy Spirit. In verses 12-13 Solomon asked for wisdom and understanding for the service of God. Secondly in verse 13 we must keep the commandments of God in truth and spirit, God cannot bless us without keeping His commandments.
WHENEVER YOU THINK OF SOLOMON, YOU THINK OF WISDOM. SO MY VIEW ON THIS CHAPTER IS BASED ON MY OBSERVATION ON HOW WE MUST HUMBLE OURSELVES AND ACCEPT GOD'S WORD, TRUST GOD'S WORD, AND DEPEND ON THE SPIRIT TO TEACH AND DIRECT. THEREBY, OBTAINING THE STRONGEST DEBTS OF WISDOM POSSIBLE.
May the good Lord see us through
