Verse 30-As great as the wisdom of Solomon was, Jesus had the greatest wisdom of a man that ever walked this earth. We have some of Jesus' wise saying recorded in the Bible and we should look for and follow that wisdom if we want to be wise ourselves.

    1 Corinthians 15:24

"Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power."

    1 Corinthians 15:25

"For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet."

Yahawah bahasham Yahawashi is going to destroy these earthly governments. The so called ruling elites are finished. There will be no hiding place for the wicked. No doubt about it.

17 nations (for the Most High Yahawah only created 18 nations) are going into slavery for 1000 years for causing untold destruction and brutality to the LORD's chosen people: The Israelites. Then the Edomites are going to be destroyed according to the Book of Obadiah, Jeremiah 49 and Ezekiel 25 just a few examples to support the prophecy.

Kingdom of Heaven is the inheritance of the Israelites. Read Hebrews 8:8 the new covenant is only for the House of Israel 12 tribes.

    Hebrews 8:7

"For if that first covenant had been faultless, then should no place have been sought for the second."

    Hebrews 8:8

"For finding fault with them, he saith, Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah:"

    John 8:32

"And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free."

Hiya Henry but you do greatly err. Remember Solomon the wisest king in the O.T. When he didicated his great new temple he made interession for the Gentiles,The strangers that is not of thy ppl Israel but have come from a faraway country, if they shall come and worship in this Temple hear thou from heaven thy dwelling place and do all that the stranger asked of thee that THY NAME mighty be great in all the world. Solomon had his arms raised to heaven and was making interession for the Gentiles approx a 1000 yrs before Christ and here comes Christ preaching in the temple about Naaman a Syrian a leper that God had sent Elijah to when in fact there were many other lepers in Israel that Elijah was not sent to at that time,But Naaman a SYRIAN WAS HEALED was made Clean long b/f Israel . Abraham himself was a Syrian Duet 26 : 5.

When you say spiritually deliver "us" are you an Israelite Dianne? If not there is no salvation for you only judgment. Salvation is only for the Israelites.

    Acts 5:30

"The God of our fathers raised up Jesus, whom ye slew and hanged on a tree."

    Acts 5:31

"Him hath God exalted with his right hand to be a Prince and a Saviour, for to give repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins."

    Luke 1:68

"Blessed be the Lord God of Israel; for he hath visited and redeemed his people,"

    Luke 1:69

"And hath raised up an horn of salvation for us in the house of his servant David;"

    Luke 1:70

"As he spake by the mouth of his holy prophets, which have been since the world began:"

    Luke 1:71

"That we should be saved from our enemies, and from the hand of all that hate us;"

    Luke 1:77

"To give knowledge of salvation unto his people by the remission of their sins,"

    John 8:32

Ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

I think you'll find that you've inherited lies Dianne.

    Jeremiah 16:19

"O LORD, my strength, and my fortress, and my refuge in the day of affliction, the Gentiles shall come unto thee from the ends of the earth, and shall say, Surely our fathers have inherited lies, vanity, and things wherein there is no profit."

There is no healing America otherwise known as Babylon the great! According to prophecy it is going to receive ICBMs from Russia and China and be nuked out of existence. Read Isaiah 13 and 14 Ezekiel 25.

This is the end of reign of the wicked. Esau-Edom are finished. The American empire is crumbling! A nation that was established on the genocide of the so called native Indians (Israelites of the northern kingdom) Then built on the backs of so called blacks (Israelites of the southern kingdom) during the transatlantic slave trade. 2 Esdras 6:9 For Esau is the end of the world, and Jacob is the beginning of it that followeth.

I will pray that the president the citizens voted for can return to the white house so that this country can heal from all the damage done. People know the injustices that have been done and are now aware of all the lies and deceit some political groups are involved in. Hell is a real place and unless people turn from their ways to follow Jesus it should be no surprise where most everyone from Washington DC will go.
  • David on 1 Kings 4 - 3 years ago
Through out the Bible, as well as secular history, we can recognize the grace of our Lord, and His mercies upon all who trust in Him. This chapter shows the height and depth of the blessings God bestowed on the king and the people of Israel.

Other nations profited also because of this blessing on the Israelites. This would be in the form of trade, agriculture, science, political peace, and many other areas.

We must, in this current Pandemic, be wise to lean on the Lord and trust in Him. We should pray diligently for our President Joe Biden and his current administration to wake up and look to The Lord Jesus Christ to bring us thru our current crisis.

May the Lord's hand be evident on all who are on this platform. May the Salvation of Christ be foremost in our hearts for all before the Lord comes. God bless our nation. August 2021

    Hello Jack Gutknecht,

I want to just clarify an issue that you pointed out here. This is not an error or typo. The texts are saying that King Solomon has 10 chariot cities with 4000 chariots in each city. Altogether he has 40,000 chariots. Hope this helps. God bless you

Hello fire fighter, thanks for your service.

I would like to comment on your post here. Yes the wine Jesus made (His first miracle), was alcoholic. Grapes preserved over certain time, produces wine alcohol. Do you know that cane juice over time produces rum which is very alcoholic? This is what you call the brewing process.

The difference between biblical use of alcohol and alcohol use today is, in biblical times it was used to preserve and spice food and drinks. But as usual, mankind always find a way to abuse everything. In today's day, the abuse still goes on even though we have refrigerators. We also found other use of alcohol like temperature gauges, fuel consumption, medical sciences and many other uses. And who knows, there might still be more use for it in the future.

My point here is, it's not the alcohol that's the problem, it's us using it inappropriately. Like the Apostle Paul said, a L I T T L E wine is good for the stomach. God bless you

I'm a retired firefighter that lived with the guys I worked with every third day for close to thirty years! One discussion (which most of the time turned out to be arguments )that we would have from time to time was on the subject of Christians drinking alcohol. I realize that back in Bible times that wine was a common drink but I also believe that it was not always alcohol but sometimes grape juice. When Jesus turned the water into wine I don't believe that it was an alcoholic drink simply because why would he make people that were at the marriage supper drunker than they already were if what they were drinking was an alcoholic wine to begin with? We all know the dangers and heart ache that alcohol can bring to a family and individuals! The way I see it is that it is impossible to get hooked on anything that you never try!!

Thank you Jack. I appreciated that clear explanation - sounds very plausible as minor textual (copyist) errors have been noted from time to time. Of course, these don't in any way take away from the veracity of Scripture, but it bears remembering that such small inconsistencies can appear, as in any writing/publication, that shouldn't warrant our complete rejection of the whole.

1 Kings 4:26-How can this verse say Solomon had 40,000 stalls when 2 Chronicles 9:25 says he had only 4,000 stalls?

Problem: In recording the prosperity of Solomon, this passage states that he had 40,000 stalls of horses for his chariots. However, 1 Chronicles 9:25 affirms that Solomon had only 4,000 stalls for horses. Which one is right?

Solution: This is undoubtedly a copyist error. The ratio of 4,000 horses to 1,400 chariots, as found in the 2 Chronicles passage, is much more reasonable than a ratio of 40,000 to 1,400 found in the 1 Kings text. In the Hebrew language, the visual difference between the two numbers is very slight. The consonants for the number 40 are rbym,? while the consonants for the number 4 are rbh (the vowels were not written in the text). The manuscripts from which the scribe worked may have been smudged or damaged and have given the appearance of being forty thousand rather than four thousand.

Irene 123, do you ever get together with friends, and have a good time with them, eating, drinking maybe wine, or other drinks? What the people in Noah's time were doing was, they did not obey the lord, they were heathen. Job's kids, were just going about their normal daily business, they were not doing anything wrong.

End of day 91 of Bible in a Year Reading. It is hard to wrap one's head around the differences and commonalities we share with these past peoples. We have the tremendous benefit of God's complete inspired Words before us. The history, doctrine, prophecies/revelations - they did not. Sadly we have in common is epic carnality and wickedness in our surrounding culture. God bless to His glory.

This chapter reminds us of Ps.33:12 "Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord" and Prov. 29:2 "When the righteous are in authority the people rejoice, but when the wicked beareth rule the people mourn".
  • Irene123 on 1 Kings 4 - 7 years ago
    V. 20 - is not good. Remember what Job's children were doing when God allowed satan to kill them, and the people of the flood when Noah, the PREACHER of righteousness, preached to them for 100 yrs. while he was building the ark. When the Bible says, "eating and drinking and making merry" - that is never good.
