I am a Catholic. I hear many Catholics say that the Bible in itself is not enough after all Bible has been put together by the Catholic Church and therefore the Catholic Church is the pillar and foundation of truth. This is so wrong. Only God is the Creator and everything and everybody else are creatures and created by Almighty God including the Catholic Church. When we see the Bible as the creation of the Catholic Church, this totally changes the truth regarding the Word of God. That is why Peter asks us in 1 Pet. 1:13 to girdle ourseves to receive truth as it is without prejudice or pre-conceived misleading notions and biases. Until we are ready to do this, we will never understand the truth in the Bible. This is the reason why the Catholic Church is fixated so much on devotion to saints and the Virgin Mary even though the Bible clearly states that there is no meadiator between God and man. I do believe that the Catholic Church should return to the infalliability of the Word of God and take the Word of God as the true Word of God without adding to it in any way or taking anything away from it. Until that happens, it will never get out of some of the errors that is besetting the Catholic Church and enslaving it.

It is with the mind that we serve God that is why so many scripture verses speak about the mind. Verse 13 said we should gird the loins of our minds and be sober. We have to bring our minds into subjection to Christ. Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus. Lets keep a pure mind. Philippians 4:8.

I was always thinking of the words inthe Bible: "Be Holy because I Am Holy, ..and then wondered how many people are Holy on thid earth?. I think 1-Peter 1 is very interesting. Suzy.

It is Spirit, it is living, it is the most powerful word on earth and it will never pass away it is eternal.

We must be Born Again in Spirit to see the Kingdom of God. We must thank to Jesus and praised Jesus for his precious blood that shed for us. His love and mercy is always with us. We are now saved by his grace. Thank you Jesus for loving us unconditionally until rapture. John 3:16 For God so love the world that he gave is only begotten Son Jesus Christ whoever believes in him will not be perish but have everlasting life. We must obey Jesus commandments and love him, follow Jesus and live like Jesus until rapture. We are surely be save until rapture into our Father 's mansion in heaven. Amen

The most important thing I get from this this morning is to love each other, to not judge our brothers and sisters but to love them. We all have our faults and we must forgive each other because without our brothers and sisters, we are very sad and lonely. We must also ask forgiveness too when we are in the wrong, we must be humble and equal for this is the way of blessing.

It is my belief that when we are saved, we are sanctified and filled with the Holy Ghost . . . because there is no way we could live a Christian life, without the Holy Ghost

Peter, the first step toward changing is to ask God for the gift of His Holy Spirit because it is that spirit that will lead you into the change our Heavenly Father cherishes. In your studies you will discover that Holy Spirit is given freely to those who are baptised, covered completely in water as Jesus was covered comletely in the grave. Then the "change " you seek will be your own sanctification, which is the work of a lifetime in fighting our own selves. May the Heavenly Father bless you in your efforts. Also, know that when we pray to the Father in Jesus ' name, the Holy Spirit makes intercession for us and that is indeed speaking in the spirit with the ultimate goal of salvation.

verse 15 means to me that all jesting and unnecessary words should not be spoken. There is no point to adding colorful words to your conversation unless its praising Jesus. Thank you Father God for your Holy Spirit that enables us to remain holy as God is holy. Praise God!

This is truly a blessing. I just thank the Lord Jesus Christ for the sanctificaton throught the Spirit, for being an elect because of the true Elect. I thank Him for having the opportunity to believe the unseen God. Glory to His name!

Invite the Holy spirit to help you to understand his word as his word gives u life and cleanses your mind. Hello Peter If I am understanding your statement. Try to find a church that truly teaches the oneness of Jesus Christ. Find a church that teaches Acts 2 38. Talk to the pastor there and continue to pray and ask God for that godly sorrow that leads to repentance, 2 Corinthians 7 9 and 10.

Hello Tschudy What makes you holy is that you have to follow Acts 2 38. You have to have the gift of the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in other tongues as the spirit of God give utterance.
