We are a chosen jeneration...Meaning that this generation is accomplishing God's FINAL PURPOSE and his FULLNESS, on earth. Sin is not an issue for those who are in Christ. Amen.
Evalena Jacobs-Latham on 1 Peter 2:9 - 11 years ago
This honour from God through Jesus Christ is so humbling. To be God's chosen generation today and to serve Him by his Grace is more than a joy and unspeakable words. I can only say thank you Jesus! Praise the Lord!
If he did not die to his flesh, we as flesh could not die to our flesh and therefore would not have a way to heaven. GOD wanted to make a way for his children to get back home.
We are not worthy of such holy mercy.. (tears drop). We should not even want to think or attempt sin. Jesus is so holy.. Never think you have a right to live a sinful life for a while taking advantage of Jesus. Love should convict you immediately. He doesn’t see us as flesh, he sees our spirit. People cannot see the spirit so they judge you by your flesh. Jesus can see the real you without money, without friends, and without family. You can hide behind any of those things. He loves us so much. Why can’t we just do his will. We are quick to say what the enemy wants us to say, but Jesus loves us. Why can’t we show the ones who love us we love them back.. He loves hearing from us.
Heaven and earth may pass away but my WORD shall never. All inheritance and possession you have or trust in this world may pass away and disappoint you. You might have to struggle and suffer to no avail. It is time to come afresh to study of his word to have a new development pattern to divine glory.
Praise God we have returned as sheep that were going astray, to the Shepherd, and Bishop of our souls. Christ who took our sins on the cross, so that we being dead to sin, should live unto righteousness. By His stripes we are healed. Yes we are no longer under the law, but the grace of God. We must not use our liberty as a cloak of maliciousness. We must honor all men, suffer as Christ suffered for us, and left us an example how a christian is to live in a Christ rejecting world. Now we are a holy nation, a royal priesthood, and a different people. Therefore we are to abstain from fleshly lust, that wars against our soul. By well doing, we will put to silence the ignorance of foolish men. Thank God for this promise, and may the Lord so lead us by his Holy Spirit to do all these things.
I see the pure grace of God towards all men,we were sinners, I was; who had come short of the glory of God, how gracious God was to look beyond our faults and see our needs to save us ,(those that have given their lives to Jesus Christ; who is the foundation of the church). We are described as a perculiar people, chosen generation, a royal priesthood, that we show forth his praise. (We are somebody; who didn't exist at first) it was Him who called us out to be a part of the living church of God where Jesus Christ is the chief corner stone,he is the foundation of the church. .
Peter, who thrise denied theLord while he was in his Passion was also three times forgiven when Jesus walked amonst us in his resurrected body, is here teaching us how to live in this world so that we will be fit to be with God in his Kingdom in eternity. Do what we must, rendering honor to those who have rule over us, but always confessing that Jesus is our true Lord and master for in following his lead will he guide us in the narrow gate that leads to life.
Gen47:9 And Jacob said unto Pharaoh, The days of the years of my pilgrimage [are] an hundred and thirty years: few and evil have the days of the years of my life been, and have not attained unto the days of the years of the life of my fathers in the days of their pilgrimage. (this implies that children of God are Heavenly citizens and they have no permanent home on earth).
this is my life verse i go to a christian school and we were doing this study in chapter 2 of 1 peter but i looked down and saw it and it really touched me
