When the Father call his children we have to know the Father's voice some people don 't know the Father or the SAVIOR'S voice. If you listen real good his sheep will know his voice, and you have to know how to answer his calling like "YES LORD " "HERE I AM " "LORD JESUS I AM YOUR SERVANT WHAT CAN I DO FOR YOU ". We are here to serve the LORD not the other way around. Are you ready to serve the LORD? WE ALL HAVE A JOB TO DO AND THAT IS TO WORSHIP AND SERVE THE LORD JESUS CHRIST!
There are many messages contained in this one passage. It is truly one of the greatest love stories! In those days men could write their wives a bill of divorcement for anything. It was a disgrace to not bare children as every woman was looking for the coming of the messiah as per prophecy. Not baring children was a disgrace! Yet Elkanah loved Hannah even more because of this. Truly his heart ached when Hannah 's ached. It pained him to see her unhappy dispite public opinion. Penninah ridiculed her for her fault But Elkanah tried very hard to make her happy. Infact he asked her " am I not better to you than 10 sons? " He tried to compensate for her inability. He did not stand in the way of her devotion to God. He allowed her to give her blessing back to God not knowing that she would bare more children. what man would love like this? he allowed her to stay home with the child as long as she felt it necessary and yet we never read of Hannah taking advantage of his love but she went down in history as one of the notable mothers of the bible. a beautiful story! some would have told her to be satisfied with what life did afford her, such as a doting husband and well to be but Hannah wanted something from God and God wanted to do something thru Hannah ! amen!
I believe that their are situations in our lives that only God can fix. If you trust and believe him he will perform the doing of his word and your hearts desire if it be his will for you.
We need also bitterness of soul while seeking God for answer to our prayers. I believe this bitterness shows our true heart's desire for our God to minster.
'If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myselfFor this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet; and if there be any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
U know verse 13 said "...she spake in her heart..." little wonder d bible says in isa. 58 dat "...rent your heart and not your garments..." Hannah did jus dat n we all saw d result..........so pour out your heart and not your garment
Well what a level of Faith, regardless of what cometh her way, she stead fastly walked with God. Many are times we just walk in our own way. Cause we can not wait on God. We must always note that without faith, we can't please God.

Hannah was a woman who found herself being bullied by her enemy (Elkanah's wife), and suffering from the grief of not being able to conceive a son for her husband who loved her like Christ Jesus loves the church. I'm encourage to see how Hannah took herself and went into Kingdom Devotion at the top. Hannah went to the house of God to make her partition known unto Christ, and the good news is the Lord heard her prayers and saw her tears...and rewarded her openly with a boy child. My El Shaddai for truly God is strong and mighty.
the question i was asking my self was when i was lead to read 1Samuel...how can can i pray if it is the Lord who has closed(deleyed opportunities, financial break through and my life to rely rest and live a life i have dreamed) my womb...there are three things i descovered Hannah did 1. she stood up 2. she poured her sour to the Lord and made a vow 3. she believed Eli' words and never moved with a sad face.
hanna had wept and awaited unto Lord the God's deliverance... so, when we have the faith in Lord our God, even we could have been delivered by the mightiest Lord the God...await and await.. we get delivered in the name of Lord Jesus.
Along with my sisters, whose hearts, mind and hope have been broken, I seek God to thrust His hand through the Heavens to fulfill His promises to me...to pour from the River that Flows beneath His Throne..such a refreshing not only for me, but for His Body at large. Amen.
so much out of this verse even in our adversities God is working in us to understand the spiritual part of all things. She moved her mountain with the help of Eli by moving in faith, by crying to God and the power of the tongue when Eli blessed her on her way.Like a diamond is formed in pressure so are the best things birthed, the prophet Samuel was born.Expect greatness out of adversities. Let's all continue to bless with a conviction of knowing our blessings are going to produce that what we profess..Amen.
I am a woman who do know exactly how Hannah feel. I have been barren for a while and have been praying to God to bless me with children. I do believe that He is about to bless me this year and open my womb. I visited a Church this sunday and the Bishop prophesied to me and told me that God said He is going to answer my prayers that I been praying for something personal. I knew that it was God speaking to me, that Bishop have never seen, or spoken to me... God is good and Faithful.
I'm also a woman whose heartbroken & I'm pouring my heart to the Lord. This scriptures showed me that prayer is powerful & no matter the circumstances one must not stop praying.
The sermon in church this morning (4/28/2013) was on Hannah and covered all of chapter one and the first 10 verses of chapter 2 and it was amazing to see that God put her in the valley in the means of a test to see if she would trust him to pull her through.
I just began a study of David but it basically covers 1/2 Samuel! What a great start to the study material! The faithfulness of Elkanah and his family to travel each year to Shiloh to offer sacrifices to God should not be overlooked. I never really knew the story of Hannah but this was an amazing journey thru this chapter. Her faithfulness through some very difficult times is just amazing culminating in her vow to God and subsequent answer that was received in the form of Samuel! I am eager for chapter 2 this evening!
