Verses 12 14 Eli and his two sons caused their whole generation to be cursed for ages to come. Our actions effects our whole family either as a blessing or a curse.

I FIND IT INTERESTING THAT GOD SPOKE TO HIM AS ACHILD I JUST WISHED GOD WOULD HAVE SPOKE TO ME LIKE THAT

I am a little confused that some versions say, "The lamp had not yet gone out ", but others say, "The lamp had gone out ". Could you clarify please?

Eli 's response to what God proposed to do to his house for the sins of his children is highly condemnable and unexpected from a prophet who knows he is dealing with the Ultimate God. I sincerely expected Eli to come before God in repentance and absolute surrendedness, confessing the sins of his sons and weeping bitterly before Him, rather all he could say was that 'He is God, Let Him do what seemeth Him good. This statement paints the picture of someone who had an undue familiarity with God. Let us all learn from this and avoid undue familiarity with God Almighty.

This chapter shows us that the servants of God are not to be criticized despite their faults because God HIMSELF will deal with his anointed Though Samuel knew what God has said about Eli and his household he did not despise him Let us learn to let God judge his anointed ours is to do Gods will and learn to listed for his voice as Samuel did It shows that if we are well connected to God in our personal walk with him even under a wrong covering God can still give us a visitation and use us He is no respecter of persons

I believe that Samuel needed to recognize God voice for him self because He was preparing him to take Levi place, therefore Levi could not tell Samuel that it was God that was speaking to him, when we look at verse 2 Levi vision was going bad not that God could not use a person that can't see,Levi did not correct his children and GOD did not like that. when we as parent know that our children are doing wrong and do not do anything about it, GOD is not pleased with that we should not love our children so much that they can not correct them.

The fact that God was able to call Samuel while Eli the priest was there it shows that God can use anyone anytime.

I think Samuel had a pride with his status of surving God until he missed his Calling

Samuel did not know God. Doing God's work and knowing God prove to be different. Had it been that Samuel knew God, he could also have recognized his calling. This is exactly what is happening in our churches, we give much respect to our Pastors than God. Samuel Knew Eli. It took God to reveal himself to Samuel for anointing. The problem again could be Eli. He might have underrated Samuel that he cannot come close to God. May be he wanted himself to be speaking to God or he thought if Samuel will start speaking to God, then his position in the Church was at risk. Eli could not resist God’s will. He first knew that it was God who was calling but did not tell Samuel at first.

God never break his Words, He warned Eli about his sons, but Eli didnot boardered to dealt with his sons accordingly, he didnot warned them and fight them to stop their evil deeds until God finally spoke to Samuel. Dispite God told Samuel his plans against Eli and his entire house, yet this does not shake Eli, he took God for granted and never boardered about his live and lineage.

Direct your child in the way he should grow so when he grows he will not depart from it. We should be sensitive to the voice of God at all times.

THE CALL OF GOD DOES NOT DEPEND WITH THEOLOGY. ALWAYS HIS FILLINGS IS PERFECT. LOOK HOW HE CALLED A YOUNG BOY SAMUEL. BUT ELI WHO WAS A PRIEST WAS REJECTED FOR FAILING TO CONTROL HIS CHILDREN
