I would like to add one more comment. Jesus Christ was baptized himself by John the Baptist. The reason why John did not call out the name, because he had the name in his hands. Jesus Christ is our greatest example. Luke 3 21 Now when all the people were baptized, it came to pass, that Jesus also being baptized, and praying, the heaven was opened, Mark 1 9 And it came to pass in those days, that Jesus came from Nazareth of Galilee, and was baptized of John in Jordan . Jesus being God manifested in the flesh, not only was he born from the womb of Mary, but when it was time to be our example of being baptized he did this also. This was to show us that baptism is what he meant. Peter clarified what he meant further on the Day of Pentecost.
Hello Word You need to go back and reread Nicodemus words. John 3 4 thru 6 Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter the second time into his mother s womb, and be born? Then Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit . Nicodemus had already covered the question about being birth from the womb. Jesus answered and informed him that which is born of the flesh is flesh. What Jesus was talking about here is being baptized in water and being filled with the Holy Ghost. This has nothing to do with Earth or the womb of a woman. The womb of a woman is a natural birth. You have to be submerged in water for a true baptismal experience with the preacher calling over you the name of the LORD Jesus Christ.
Looking on with born from above you see what Jesus was really saying. And Jesus went on to say except a man be born of water, that is in a mother 's womb. So as you read John just read it correctly with born from above and it brings truth and understanding when you read Vs. 13. And no man has ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven. Note. In other words no man can go back up to heaven but the man who was born in the water, in his mother 's womb on earth even Jesus. Note. Study the Bible to know the truth from the lies.
Strong 's Born again, another an ' o then Strong 's 509 anlwqen Definitions from 507 alnw from above by analogy from the first by implication anew from above, again, from the beginning very first , the top. Note. In other words born from above to earth. You were with God and now you are born again from the first time since the beginning. Let 's keep going to the 13 verse and you will see.
In John 3 we learn about born again when Nicodemus searched out Jesus. John 3 vs 3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again he cannot see the kingdom of God. Note. Born again in Strong 's born from above. Jesus is saying, Except a man be born from above he cannot see the kingdom of God. You have to be born on, or to earth to get to heaven. We all have! We are all born again.Lean the word and plan of God from the Bible. God said listen to me and that is in His word.
When that trumpet sounds and the dead in Christ rises first, those individuals who put on the name of Jesus Christ, and we who are alive and remain we will meet them in the air and so shall we forever be with the Lord AMEN. This will be a glorious Day.
Part 2 of 2 See in Revelation 21 8 it states the people that will not be going to heaven. One of the words is the unbelieving . These are the people who during the Grace Age or Dispensation who did not take on the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ through Acts 2 38 and who did not keep the faith. The unbelieving is also those who took the mark of the beast during the tribulation. Ephesians 4 5 One Lord, one faith, one baptism. You must be born again in order to go to Heaven during this time period we are living in. If you do not have this you are not going to Heaven.
Hello Lj Part 1 of 2 No this scripture is not saying that the dead in Christ have no faith. This scripture is saying those who have died in faith believing and taking on the name of Jesus Christ through Acts 2 38 they will be the first ones to be raptured out of here. Then the next scripture is talking about those of people who remain alive when the rapture takes place who have taken on the name of the Lord Jesus Christ through Acts 2 38 will be caught up together with the others to meet him in the air. Then it states so shall we ever be with the Lord . Those who have no faith and have not followed Acts 2 38 are not going to heaven during the rapture.
I have the understanding that "the dead in Christ " is refering to people who have no faith or who choose not to believe in Christ...what do you think?
Although this scripture is in reference to the rapture, it means so much more to me. Anyone that has ever struggled with the loss of a loved one, can find great comfort in this passage. In death, we are taught to believe the soul goes to Heaven when the body dies. No "body " really knows where the soul goes after the body has died. I believe it is found here in this scripture. The dead in Christ "rise " because their souls are still here. They are no longer suffering in their physical bodies. Their souls live on, perhaps in a state of rest or, maybe, they are the angels that walk among us. Not unlike the caterpillar and butterfly. The body is but a cocoon.
William they have to understand the word believe in the Greek and if I remember right it 's to believe with understanding and to love God and follow His word, His command as written to consume the Book not just someone who knows Christ is on the throne. Satan knows that. Those that don 't read the word of God will be followers of antichrist who comes first as Christ or instead of Christ and will be a shamed at the 7th trump and hide from Him praying that mountains will fall on them.
The Bible declares that no man knows the day or the hour. It did not say we could not know the month or the year. Like the song says soon and very soon we are going to see the King. Ready or not Jesus is coming again. The Bible declares they that were ready went in to be with the bridegroom. He coming for those who are looking for Him, in love with Him. We must not be lukwarm also when He comes.
Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved! Pray that you are worthy to escape.. Comfort one another with these words.. Those willing to condemn already those who believe in the comfort of an escape should be careful
The only input I have to say is that before Christ comes to get what is rightly his. There is another. Which is known as the anti christ ' better known as the devil. The six seal, vile and trump.Jesus Christ returns in the seventh seal, vile and trump. Many will come in my name but I did not send them '
Ezekiel 13 If one can read the KJV tells us God hates them that teach His children to fly to save their souls. The rapture doctrine of 1830 of Margret Mc Donald and them that bring it forward have a special place all picked out for them where it 's really nice and. Warm as smoke that rises off of fat.
If the souls of the Believers who have died are already with Jesus, why do they have to rise? Their souls are not in those bodies. The Scripture is referring to the dead bodies. They will rise and be changed to glorified bodies and reconnect with their souls. Remember when Jesus came back and showed Thomas the marks in his hands. It was the same body, only glorified.
That means the rapture. Those who slept in Christ will hear his voice and come fort while those who do not hear it will be torment after rapture. Because He said in John5v28 29 that those who are dead in Him shall come forth and those who are not, to the resurrection of damnation.
There is no rapture. In verse 13 the subject is where are the dead. They are with Christ and will be returning with Him at the 7th Trump. Street greek is used for clouds as a crowd and air isn 't the air you breath but a higher level of thinking in a twinkle of an eye, or spiritual body when we all change. All change at the same time. The elect are going to stand against Satan and that 's God 's best and no body is going anywhere as long as they are working for God.
I can see this meaning many different things but I agree with Paul. As Christians we must stand as one and live humble lives of love. The enemy is hard at work trying and in many ways succeeding to divide Gods people. The same way he tries to keep us focused on that which we do not need to know. We must focus on speaking truth to those who are lost and not become filled with doubt or fear. These are not of Jesus Christ. May Gods spirit reveal that which is true and in faith keep light and love alive in your hearts.
The words there are very encouraging and worthy of great listening by attention.Christianity is a living and unique way of life which will surely give a sure pay back after the life on earth. It is also very interesting that as Christians,we are not allowed or permitted to live for our selves, but to the glory of one who will eventually be our judge. We also see that God encourages and expects us to work with our hands and avoid every form of lack that may come by way of idleness. The Rapture shall be the most startling event in the whole history of humanity,so as Christians we ought to be readily prepared at all times so as not to miss out in this glorious event.
You all need to be very carefull when giving your opinion, (the wisdom of man), to explain what You believe to be true regarding The Word of GOD. Many false Prophets are gone out into the World, as it is this day!
dead in Christ are them who are with Him, will be changed, receive there Glorified body too, flesh and blood cannnot inherrit the Kingdome of God, spirit went up flesh back to ground
How did this teaching of the apostle Paul ever come to be called the Rapture? The answer lies in the word translated "shall be caught up" (Greek harpagésómetha). In Latin, this word is rapere, from which "rapture" is derived. Free of any arcane or mysterious interpretation, it simply means "to be caught up," "snatched," or "seized."
The trouble begins when people confuse this meaning with another definition of rapture that has nothing to do with the biblical concept: "a state or experience of being carried away by overwhelming emotion; a mystical experience in which the spirit is exalted to a knowledge of divine things." When people blur these meanings, a picture develops of a strange, otherworldly experience preached by fire-breathing preachers to compel sinners to repent before God's wrath burns them to cinders.
cloud is street greek as crowd or pack of people and has nothing to do with up in the sky. The word air is a higher level, as in a breath of life or spiritual body but not stratosphere or flying away in any means and even if they go up in the air it will be at the 7th trump when Christ returns with them that were a sleep or dead. As soon as we are dead we are with the Father as Paul taught.
I believe the passage is to be taken literally. Then, if that is so, a literal shout should be heard, literal graves opened, and a literal trumpet heard by true believers(those who love the things of God and love people). Those who profess to be Christians but love the things of the world and place self as a priority over others will be left behind and counted as non-believers. They will have to accept martyrdom to be redeemed.
Remember, if you are still in this body, you are not with Jesus. If you are in your new body(spiritual body) then you are with Jesus. Be very careful of this rapture that is not in the Bible.
