A person walking with God everyday and every second has no need to repent. Those who are not, should be careful to examine themselves as the scripture says.
Just scripture..."prove all things; hold fast that which is good." vs.21. And, "Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith." 2 Cor 13:5. "Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits.." 1 John 4:1, "Proving what is acceptable unto the Lord." Eph 5:10. Also Luke 21:8...and "Take heed that no man deceive you" Matt 24:4. "Take heed, lest any man deceive you." Mark 13:5. Be careful...
Verse 20 and 21... Despise not prophesyings. (1. A foretelling; prediction; a declaration of something to come. As God only knows future events with certainty, no being but God or some person informed by him, can utter a real prophecy. The prophecies recorded in Scripture, when fulfilled, afford most convincing evidence of the divine original of the Scriptures
I give thanks to God every day;from the time I get up in the morning, until I go to bed. I thank the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, and always thank God for His blessings.
"For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night." As long as we are in the world we will have tribulation, and every generation has had something serious to deal with. While we see so many bad things happening, and getting worse and worse, it should move us to search and try our hearts and repent, and set in order all our ways before we come before Him.
WOW... GLORIOUS IS the LIVING LORD JESUS... For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ, 1 Thessalonians 5:9 I strongly advise everyone to read the Psalms carefully and prayerfully in order to realize and to understand that bearing up under tribulation, persecution, opposition and contradiction from the ungodly, is not wrath from God but A TOKEN OF THE GRACE OF GOD AND HIS SPIRIT ABIDING IN YOU! If you were of the world, the world would love its own. But because you ARE NOT OF THE WORLD, but the Lord Jesus Christ has severed you from other people that you should be His therefore the world hates you, as it hated Jesus before you. Our appointed portion in this life, is to be transformed into the image and likeness of God our Saviour, and in doing so, to bear up cheerfully under the sufferings of Christ while we await His return! Study the history of the Church, and you'll see that this has been the way of all Jesus' people in every age. Why should we the last generation before His coming want to have it any different from all our brothers and sisters who went before us? Don't be misled by the earthly-minded self-life serving errors of the ungodly! Be strong and persevere, be resilient and stand true and faithful to the end and Jesus will give us the crown of life.
Praise the LORD brothern your Mission's very very very use ful for more than soul's, GLORTY to GOD Praise the LORD Praise the LORD Praise the LORD Praise the LORD Praise the LORD Praise the LORD Praise the LORD
I pray thee NOW dear SON, Let the poor, the maimed, the lame and the blind be called to your feast O God. And bring also all who sleep in thee O LORD JESUS; and be glorified. Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever. Amen
1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 THE RAPTURE 16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: 17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. 1 Thessalonians 5:2 second coming
"For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night." If you have ever known a thief, or got to know how they think and work; you'd better understand the way the Lord uses this for a comparison. But in addition to the way the thief works, which is important to know about the Day of the LORD; the fact that He has had His eye on them and planning well ahead.
Romans 12:12 12 Rejoicing in hope patient in tribulation continuing instant in prayer All saved born again child of God have tribulation in there life, but there is going to be a 7 year tribulation that Daniel speaks about. Daniel 9:24-27 Jacobs trouble. We are not in it, the Rapture will come before Jacobs trouble. Then comes the second coming of Jesus Christ. Zechariah 14:2-4
Thank you Ray for your intelligent post; very good! It is because of the very common fantasy MIS-teaching about the Rapture being seven years before the Tribulation, that many are completely scandalized by the idea of actually having to suffer on account of their faith in Jesus. Their Pastors and Teachers have caused this, and will be held accountable for all who might be lost because of it.
Ray: We are in The Tribulation. It started a few Thousand years ago.--In The World Ye shall have Tribulation---. John 16:33 /--- We Glory in Tribulations--- Romans 5:3. Tribulation is for The Saved. Wrath is for The Lost. No one knows when The Rapture happens. If We are here when The Wrath comes We will be Protected by The Blood. We Shall be Saved from Wrath through Him. Romans 5:9. Keep looking Up
1 Thessalonians 5:2 For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night. This verse is talking about the Rapture that will happen before the tribulation. The second coming of Jesus will be in the tribulation when he come down on the Mount of Olive to save the believers. Zechariah 14:2-4
My comment is this, who judges your appearance? Their is only one God, and he has allowed a few to write some things of what he expects, but unless u have read the entire bible and extra bks, u have no idea what the start of what God our creator expects of our appearance.
Irene; Ever since Cain and Abel, the Righteous have had to bear with the tribulations imposed on them by those who despise and reject the Word of the Anointed Saviour. In fact it was generally the Sentence passed on us as a species because of Adam's sin, that we have tribulation, toil and sorrow: a "trade off" if you will, for being allowed to live the rest of our lives, in faith of Christ coming.
Jesus' saints don't 'reject' His wrath; they can't; they can only reject His salvation. The wrath to come (Great Trib.) is coming to the unsaved - who reject His salvation; after those 7 yrs. then His 1.000 yr. reign, then the final judgement.
There seems here to be some misunderstanding about "tribulation," and as to whether the Saints must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God. But when someone comes along and suggests that tribulation is the same as God's wrath, and something we should reject; they unwittingly make themselves enemies of the Cross; and we find that a snare from the devil has been laid before us!
Irene:verse nine says wrath, the wrath of God is not tribulation:tribulation is not the wrath of God. We will be accountable for all things we say!Matthew12:36 /did persecution and tribulation start when 1 said kill them all 2 yrs and under? When we standup preach salvation, let their Light shine, point to the cross? We are in the tribulation! Wrath for the lost
V.9 - as far as the church going thru the GREAT tribulation - v. 9 says - no; God hath NOT appointed us to wrath. I believe what my Lord Jesus says - not what man says that CONTRADICTS Jesus word.
Vs. 6-7; "Sober" - as well as being alert, watchful, the word also takes in drunkenness, v. 7. And worldly 'jesting'; there are times for Christian jesting, only 'times' - when the occasion calls for it, which, in His wisdom, will be very few.
