GOD bless all on this forum. May we improve daily in our walk in CHRIST name as we read and apply HIS precepts and commandments.

Merry Christmas everyone! Have a wonderful and prosperous time with family and friends.

    Numbers 6:

26 The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.

    Luke 2:

10 And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.

11 For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.

    Isaiah 9:

6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

7 Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.

Let us praise and glory our KING and SAVIOR by telling others of HIS free gift of SALVATION before it is too late.

We are warned to have our perspectives in order , read the Bible ,PRAY,worship God , study. Proverbs 5:3-7 is my favorite go to verses. I have many others but this has been since my childhood. Yes we have to live within our means whatever that may be...here today gone tomorrow. God....Jesus...are ALWAYS with us ...yesterday ,the present, tomorrows that come. Psalms23rd,& the Lords prayer are to me always there ,learned when I was a child . Go outside ,look around as leaves change colors, air is slightly crisp, sun shining ,blue skies, fluffy white clouds, birds flying around calling out to one another ,squirrels & chipmunk scamper around occasionally a deer ,. God is in all I see. Money doesn't buy these. We take alot for granted sometimes. We don't always appreciate what we do " have " vs lamenting what we don't. Trust in the Lord ! God Bless

Good evening all!! We all should read 1timothy 6:7-15! It tells us to be content with what we have! Came in the world with nothing and leaving it the same way!!! So many people don't have family or friends but all we need is our Lord Jesus Christ!!! He will always be there for all who believe and you know the evil of this world hates him and hates us too! Jesus says believe unto me, ask ,knock and seek me and I will give you rest!!! Thank you my King of all righteousness, for all the earth and the heavens above are your creation, including man!!! May all find our peace within His Word!! Bless my family oh Lord, keep us humble like you in these trying times which are coming to pass as You said they would for your words are faithful and true!!! In Jesus's name I pray Amen!!!!

1 Timothy 6:10 - some translations say it is the root of all kinds of evil. I'm not sure the phrase was intended to mean that every evil is explained by love of money as even the first and original sin of eating the forbidden fruit did not involve money.
  • Joe on 1 Timothy 6 - 2 years ago
Granted that the LOVE of money is the root of ALMOST all evil, what of sins of lust? Rape is a sin of control, and lust, and of the flesh and most usually has nothing to do with money.

Hi Latrina, You have all the inspired scriptures in these 66 books of the Bible, It Was by God spirit when they wrote them, and just like the devil was in the garden waiting to deceive there has been men "servants of satan" trying to contaminate scripture ever since man learned to write, God has Intervened in the garden and he intervened in this also, so it was his inspiration when they wrote the scripture and it was his inspiration when they gathered them. God didn't speak the world in existence in six days which he promised to judge by his word and fail to communicate with them and let some third grader slip in and shuffle a few words and derail God's plans. Every word he intended for us to have is integrated in one msg, if you removed john 3:16 that msg is still clear when you take in the whole council of the living word, And if you had what you "think" you're missing or what you "think" is added you can't understand it or wouldn't no it without the Holy Spirit. Thanks hope that helps

Frank, you are needed in the prayer request room. You have such an understanding of the Holy Spirit. He's so gentle. People need only to understand that God is not punishing us.

But my friend a lot of follow Christians miss out on a great thing you know the Lord loves us so much but he also wants a special relationship with us I encourage you to just take that time ,and talk to him open your heart ,and him tell how much you love him. Hear O man the Spirit of truth. The Holy Father says not the wicked must despise money but he who will hold to GOD, will despise money. It is written, Ye cannot serve GOD and mammon. For wisdom is a defence, and money is a defence: but the excellency of knowledge is, that wisdom gave life to them that have it. Behold, the fear of the LORD, that is wisdom and to depart from evil is understanding.
  • Walter - In Reply on 1 Timothy 6 - 5 years ago
Where in the scriptures does it say we must despise money itself? Don't invent things. It's the love of money which we are warned about.
  • I am that Michael Isaac Dale on 1 Timothy 6 - 5 years ago
Verily, whosoever loves my Holy Father despises money and defends it not as ye do here. Ye say, We couldn’t survive a day without money. and, money is important. It is written, No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon. Ye know Christ is come yet ye praise money, not GOD.
  • Ivy Johnson on 1 Timothy 6 - 5 years ago
V10: For the LOVE of MONEY is the root of all EVIL. Not money is the root of all evil. We couldn’t survive a day without money. So many people today have sold their souls to Satan for the love of money: worldly people: movie stars: athletes: entertainers: prestigious: elites:
etc: money is important: should not control you: God bless you: use to further His Kingdom: less fortunate: do not hoard:

Verses 20,21- information that is untrue can have a damaging effect on our mind and heart. We must be careful that we don’t place a higher value on worldly knowledge than on true spiritual knowledge.
