2For I determined not to know any thing amōg you, saue Iesus Christ, and him crucified. 3And I was with you in weakenesse, and in feare, and in much trembling. 4And my speech, and my preaching was not with entising words of mans wisedome, but in demonstration of the Spirit, and of power: 5That your faith should not stand in the wisdome of men, but in the power of God. 6Howbeit wee speake wisedome among them that are perfect: yet not the wisedome of this worlde, nor of the Princes of this worlde, that come to nought:

2:4 And my speech in private, as well as my public preaching, was not with the persuasive words of human wisdom, such as the wise men of the world use; but with the demonstration of the Spirit and of power - With that powerful kind of demonstration, which flows from the Holy Spirit; which works on the conscience with the most convincing light, and the most persuasive evidence.

1Co 2:4 Not with enticing words of man's wisdom. He did not resort to the arts and enticements of Greek oratory or philosophy. But in demonstration of the Spirit and of power. Filled by the Holy Spirit, he spoke in its power, and thus moved upon the hearts of his hearers. His words were also supported by the power of the Spirit shown in miracles (Ro 15:19 2Co 12:12).
