10So they gathered themselues together at Ierusalem, in the third moneth, in the fifteenth yeere of the reigne of Asa. 11And they offered vnto the Lord the same time, of the spoile which they had brought, seuen hundred oxen, and seuen thousand sheepe. 12And they entred into a couenant to seeke the Lord God of their fathers, with all their heart and with all their soule: 13That whosoeuer would not seeke the Lord God of Israel, should be put to death, whether small or great, whether man or woman. 14And they sware vnto the Lord with a loud voice, and with shouting, and with trumpets, and with cornets.

15:12 Into covenant - The matter of this covenant was nothing but what they were before obliged to. And tho' no promise could lay any higher obligation upon them, than they were already under, yet it would help to increase their sense of the obligation, and to arm them against temptations. And by joining all together in this, they strengthened the hands of each other
