3For loe, they lye in waite for my soule; the mighty are gathered against me, not for my transgression, nor for my sinne, O Lord. 4They runne and prepare themselues without my fault: awake to helpe me, and behold. 5Thou therefore, O Lord God of hostes, the God of Israel, awake to visite all the heathen: be not mercifull to any wicked transgressours. Selah. 6They returne at euening: they make a noise like a dogge, and go round about the citie. 7Behold, they belch out with their mouth: swords are in their lippes; for who, say they, doeth heare?

59:5 The God - A God in covenant with all true Israelites, whom thou hast promised to protect and bless. The heathen - Or, these heathens, who though they are Israelites by birth; yet in their dispositions they are mere Heathens. Be not - For indeed thou canst not according to thy word, be merciful to such incorrigible offenders.
