2 Chronicles Chapter 16 Discussion

The Lord is praised when we publicly praise Him at any time and place. This forum provides the saints a place to worship together with like minded people.

May God shine His face on all and encourage us all to glorify the Lord. If we don't then the very rocks and trees will.

Amen BSP, may CHRIST IN US grace us with HIS wisdom and HIS understanding.

You are correct; when God purposes something, it's good as done.

1 Timothy 2:4 Who WILL HAVE (God's WILL; will be done)( Matthew 6:10) ALL MEN TO BE SAVED, and come to the KNOWLEDGE OF TRUTH.

1 Timothy 4:10 For therefore we both labour (in the WORKS OF GOD; not our work)( Colossians 1:29) and suffer reproach, because we trust ( Ezekiel 36:27) in the living God, who is the SAVIOUR OF ALL MEN, specially those who believe ( Philippians 1:29)

1 Timothy 4:11 There things COMMAND and TEACH.

God IS NOT searching for those who want to SERVE HIM; because if it were up to flesh, NO ONE would serve him. He has already CHOSEN US ( Ephesians 1:11); he is BRINGING US TO THAT TRUTH ( Ezekiel 36:27).

Flesh WILL NOT serve GOD; it is enmity to SPIRIT ( Romans 8:7) .

God has CHOSEN (through casting the die; if you will)( Ezekiel 20:37) a select FEW to be KINGS and PRIEST ( Revelation 5:10) with HIM in his kingdom.

Those, CHOSEN TO BECOME the IMAGE of GOD ( Romans 8:29)( Ephesians 4:24), will become judges with Christ' at the resurrection of the dead, back to their flesh ( 1 Corinthians 6:2)( Revelation 2:26-27). They (the dead) will be THEN brought to TRUTH.

Isaiah 29:9 For when thy judgements are in the earth, the inhabitants WILL LEARN RIGHTEOUSNESS.

None of this is a reproof to you, my brother in Christ, I am just ADDING to your comments.

Verse 9-Jehovah God is searching throughout the earth to find those who whole heartedly want to serve him. He shows his strength in their behalf.

Many knows GOD raise them up (as in this case) and then they relies on his own understanding (get caught in wrong/sin) attack the people of GOD rather then admit the wrong/sin, repent and ask for forgiveness from GOD, thereby causing his / her own heart-act and pain. WOW! WOW! WOW!.

"..Because thou hast relied on the king of Syria, and not relied on the LORD thy God.. Herein thou hast done foolishly: therefore from henceforth thou shalt have wars." While the truth is, that the MANY professing themselves to be Christian Believers and people of faith, virtue and truth; knowing and claiming ALL the most popular verses, yet in action trusting NOT in the Lord nor obeying His Word!

"..Baasha king of Israel came up against Judah, and built Ramah, to the intent that he might let none go out or come in to Asa king of Judah." Now think about the forces at work today against the Name of Jesus and the authority of His Word, and how there is such a push toward political activism of every description to force our enemies back and secure our liberties! What is the difference?

I believe to the best of my knowledge is that God says He will shows himself strong to them whose heart is perfect towards Him, you know that no one can be perfect in the flesh but when you fall back into sin and repent in your heart that's the part that shows you to be perfect towards Him, and those that do sin without repenting will have wars .that's the next verse some don't pay attention to,

  • Pamela on 2 Chronicles 16:9 - 9 years ago
God looks for those who desires to be totally dependent on him instead of being dependant ourselves. God searches our hearts by the Holy Spirit who Jesus left as a teacher to guide us into the understanding and reality of the Kingdom of Heaven that was given to us by Jesus, Luke 22:29.

  • Kim on 2 Chronicles 16:9 - 10 years ago
I believe God is looking for a people who are devoted to HIM so He can show Himself through those who are empty of self. So He can take residence in those who want to be used by Him.so He can bring Glory to Himself and draw the lost back to Him.

Another great verse that lets me know just how important it is to rely on the Lord With him is complete victory without him is utter defeat
  • BSP on 2 Chronicles 16:9 - 11 years ago
I like this verse because it shows how Jehovah is looking for a way to show his strength in behalf of those who strive to serve Him whole-heartedly. Sometimes people think that God only looks for the bad or only notices the bad we do. This verse shows that he is a loving God who strives to look for the good in others and even looks for a way to support such ones.

My dear brethren you need to struggle no longer only align yourself with the word of God and see God fight for you. As you can see God himself act in the behalf of those with a perfect heart. so be of a clean perfect heart.
