God's people needed to humble themselves and change their ways to what was acceptable to Him. Jehovah God would then pour out his blessing on his people and they would be restored to favor.
  • Mishael - In Reply on 2 Chronicles 7 - 2 years ago
    John 1:1-5

1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

2 The same was in the beginning with God.

3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men.

5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.

Jesus gave us the Lords Prayer as a frame so we could fit our daily prayers into each verse. He starts the prayer__OUR FATHER

So that's what I pray personally. Respectfully I say In Jesus Name at the end.

Then I pray Luke 4:18-19, and follow with Matthew 9:37-38; that I might be anointed and sent; that day.

    Hi Dan.

I'm not sure the emphasis is on Gods name.

The emphasis is on Gods possession in his people.

Exodus 4:22-23. And thou shalt say unto Pharaoh, Thus saith the LORD, Israel is my son, even my firstborn:

And I say unto thee, Let my son go, that he may serve me:...

    Also:

    "Prophetic."

Behold, I will bring them from the north country, and gather them from the coasts of the earth, and with them the blind and the lame, the woman with child and her that travaileth with child together: a great company shall return thither.

They shall come with weeping, and with supplications will I lead them: I will cause them to walk by the rivers of waters in a straight way, wherein they shall not stumble: FOR I AM A FATHER TO ISRAEL, and Ephraim is my firstborn. Jeremiah 31:8-9.

Israel was to be set apart.

    Exodus 19:5.

2 Chronicles 7:10-16. And on the three and twentieth day of the seventh month he sent the people away into their tents, glad and merry in heart for the goodness that the LORD had shewed unto David, and to Solomon, and to Israel his people.

Thus Solomon finished the house of the LORD, and the king's house: and all that came into Solomon's heart to make in the house of the LORD, and in his own house, he prosperously effected.

And the LORD appeared to Solomon by night, and said unto him, I have heard thy prayer, and have chosen this place to myself for an house of sacrifice.

    If I shut up heaven that there be no rain, or if I command the locusts to devour the land, or if I send pestilence among my people;

If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

Now mine eyes shall be open, and mine ears attent unto the prayer that is made in this place.

For now have I chosen and sanctified this house, that my name may be there for ever: and mine eyes and mine heart shall be there perpetually.

    God bless.

    Hi Kenneth,

I Believe God gives the Holyspirit spirit when we are truly converted which is an act of his doing upon our trust and believe in the work of Christ on the cross.

That same Spirit convicts us of sin,

As we feed on the word "with faith" that same Spirit moves us different than the way we were before. It's not simply a change of mind, "IT'S A CHANGED HEART".

This is called fruit in your life that wasn't there before.

John 15:8. Herein is my Father glorified, that ye ""BEAR"" much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.

NOTICE: YOU BEAR THE FRUIT YOU DON'T PRODUCE IT.

We do that by being connected to the true vine. JESUS.

John 15:1-4. I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman.

Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.

Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you.

Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.

These verses emphasize "Virtue" by being connected!! A New Heart, The now inner Man.

Here's what's produced by the Vine:

Galatians 5:22-24. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,

Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

"And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts."

( The last sentence here is perhaps the death of the old Heart. "Not Old Nature".

by us being in Christ at his death. The new Heart and Power supplied by The Holyspirit is given by us behind baptized into his resurrection!

    ROMANS 6:1-5.

Romans 8:11 But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.

Our evidence is that our Hope is built on a rock and that rock is Jesus Christ. if you're saved you Have the Holyspirit.
  • Fear Doubt or Faith - In Reply on 2 Chronicles 7:14 - 3 years ago
    This is your test.

    1 Corinthians 12:3 | View whole chapter

Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Holy Spirit of God calleth Jesus accursed: and that no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost.

If we love Jesus, trust Him for the gift of salvation: our inner spirit that is born again cannot switch over and say what Jesus did on the Cross wasn't enough to save us.

Satan is a hunter of souls. Just like in the Book of Job, if he spots a weak place in our lives, that's where he's going to attack. Job's kids partied a lot, so to be on the safe side (fear), Job made sacrifices for them. Satan saw this. He sent storms that wiped out his family. His wife accused Job. One of Satans Names is Accuser of the brethern.

Chaos and confusion; doubts and fears are the Fruits of Satans presence. Don't forget that. We must live out Ephesians chapter 6. We have to fight back.

No matter what else Job did, he trusted God in his heart (where the Spirit of God resides). At the end of this battle, God replaces Everything Job lost , and More.

Go back and stay in John chapter 3, until you can stand on what Jesus is saying. 1 John chapter 1:9. Decide to cut Satan out of your thought life. That's where the real battle is fought. Reject accusations. Do what you know is good and right in Gods eyes. Not yours.

We cannot grow up in Jesus if we do not read the Bible, and apply it to our lives. Remember Jobs doubts and fears. Sometimes it takes a 100 failures till we lock into Jesus and do what we see to do, in His Word. He is the Word.

LISTEN to what comes out of your mouth.

    Here is some courage Kenneth!

"If one is troubled or burdened about whether he has blasphemed the Holy Ghost, this burden indicates that he has not. One who has indeed blasphemed the Holy Spirit would not feel the conviction and drawing of the Holy Ghost.

Such an one would experience absolutely no desire to be saved".

The New Birth and Conversion needs to be our hope in Jesus Christ where we can understand the Holy Spirit that Jesus guides us with from within. Love to you from myself and brethren that wrote the above.

Hi George, yes I believe Mary experienced birth pains, Genesis 3;16. Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thy shall bring forth children. I don't think Mary was pardoned, Neither did God pardoned Jesus when he barred our sins on the cross.

Being the mother of our Savoir Jesus, did Mary experience labor pains like all other women? Please include scripture references for me. Thank you so much and have a wonderfully blessed day.
  • Prayer to release Finances - In Reply on 2 Chronicles 7:14 - 4 years ago
Dear God, I am asking for favor financially, which I quickly need. My problems with money are never-ending. If it's not one thing, then it is another problem. Please, assist me and then assist all of us who are struggling financially with too much debt and an abundance of bills to pay. All of us are struggling just to get by, but still, are not making enough. We look to You for our Help.

I pray Lord you will send forth an angel to hasten the checks that are due to me, so I may prove my willingness to glorify You with a reputation for paying bills on time.

I place my faith in You and no other. Help me to be at peace in the mean time. Your Word says, I will keep in perfect peace whose mind has stayed on Me.

Thank you, God, for your blessing on us. Amen.

Pray this till your breakthrough arrives. Pray in Ephesians 6, against invisible enemies that seek to hinder our faith in Gods promises. Your friend, Mishael

I'm going to send you here. I think you are ready to knock down some strongholds.

GetBibleAnswers dot org. I can't put the link on here for you.

Go in there and find the spiritual warfare prayers against Satan and his demons.

Before you study that, go through everything in your home that a demon will use as a doorway. Certainly anything that qualifies as an Idol. Books, novels, strange jewelry: ask Holy Spirit to help you.

Keep 1 John 1:9 on your fridge so you can stop and pray as soon as that spirit of fear with his buddy Torments begin to harass, hinder and accuse. That's 4 names who are stalking you.

BIND them in the Name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. CAST (send elsewhere) Them (names) into dry, hot deserts. It hurts their feet.

Then pray and ASK Jesus to send angels to guard the 4 corners of your home.

They hate praise music! But the angels love it. Listen to some DION on Youtube. (Kingdom in the Streets; Terry Talbot-Wake Up America; Maybe Terry's brother, John Michael Talbots songs. I went to the same Church as, Carman: you'll like his songs.

Barbara, your question and plea for help is indeed your first step to coming close to God. You are earnestly seeking Him, and my fervent advice to you is to stop "trying". To surrender yourself to Jesus. It is Jesus that pulls you to Him, to His ever-loving bosom. Through your faith, Jesus dissolves your worldly lusts and desires, and gradually you become ever-more receptive to experience the miracles that Jesus pours out upon you, in such glorious abundance! May you pray to God your Father in the name of Jesus to open your spiritual eyes. May God so bless you abundantly, I pray, Amen.

Yes, II thought I became a Christian at. 23years old.I walked up an aisle, was a Roman Catholics, then. And everything they were telling me to do, I thought I had done. And I sat back down, pleased with myself. A girlfriend had invited me to his healing service. And I never heard from her again. Meanwhile, I was on my own, sinning, even had an abortion. Then I met a gentleman, whom I later, married, who knew the Bible inside and outside. I knew God. Wanted me to know Himself and the Bible. But my mom had told me the Bible was a book of fables. And so I had many doubt's, and still do. When I t ry to read the bible, I get really anxious, and read like I!m reading fiction. How do I get the faith to believe all that the Bible says, and that Jesus is real, and is the Word Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

  • Chris - In Reply on 2 Chronicles 7:14 - 4 years ago
That was a good example of Humility in action. I also see it as stemming from one's attitude about oneself. Most people would like to think of themselves better than others: whether in their appearance, their jobs, wealth, or achievements. That's one of the characteristics of the sin nature coming to the fore: that of glorification of self to the despising or minimizing the worth of others.

The perfect example of Humility is seen in the Lord Jesus ( Phil 2:3-8) as He first humbled Himself by becoming a man & then was obedient to a shameful death; He as the Word of God need not have had to experience any of this, but for the sake of our salvation, He humbled Himself. And then in Rom 12:3, Paul instructs them to not think of themselves as greater than others (this was in reference to use of gifts in the Church, but translates to every day life as well). So our position as Christians has to be one of taking the lower position so that our brother or sister in Christ may be the one that is given the higher position in our eyes. We then reflect that beautiful quality of the Godhead.
  • Daisy chakawa on 2 Chronicles 7:14 - 4 years ago
l think everyone who calls themselves Christian should be hunble . To be called Humble means you have a good quality of faith or that the faith is the goodness of your answer or reply applied n every situation by words or actions that are in line with the word of God . eg your reply to the simple question good morning when your enemy greets you . Your answer should reveal meekness and humbleness it will be good morning my sweet heart not good morning you stupid idiot revealing your anger and resentment towards yesterday s conversations that was not resolved .Your action of faith in a situation of hunger and poverty is to feed and clothes

Gregory Simons: Matthew 22:36-40 tells us that ALL 10 commandments are in effect. The first 4 commandments are about loving and obeying God, the last 6 commandments are about loving our fellow man.
When God gave the commandments to Moses on Mt. Siani He told him to hew two stones ( Exodus 34:1) On 1 stone of the 10 commandments God writes the commandments about obeying God, on the 2nd stone are the that last 6 commandments which pertain to loving our fellow man...
You will find all of the commandments in the NT, they are not laid out like in Exodus 20

Lilith, as a person, is a figment of the imagination of some Rabbis. Look into the jewish encyclopedia if you really want to know.
Titus 1:14 Not giving heed to Jewish fables, and commandments of men, that turn from the truth.
in the KJV the word "SCREECH OWL" comes from the word Lilith. but the interpretation is used different in occult circles.
Isaiah 34:14 The wild beasts of the desert shall also meet with the wild beasts of the island, and the satyr shall cry to his fellow; the screech owl also shall rest there, and find for herself a place of rest.
Some rabbis claim Lilith was the first wife of Adam, prior to Eve. Other Rabbis claim she is a demoness who sucks life out of children.
