A marriage that was built on the foundation of Jesus Christ may find hope in restoration in the event of an unfaithful spouse. The faithful spouse continues to walk in peace and forgiveness with their Lord Jesus and remains teachable by the Holy Spirit and keeps themselves washed in Him. This witness is good to every on looker including those whom have again chosen sin instead of forgiveness and righteousness in Jesus Christ. God by His Word and living witnesses can call anyone back to Him. Sometimes even back to their faithful spouse God makes a way for restoration. The one in offense must completely repent and return to the Lord no matter what not even hoping for restoration to the marriage that was in the Lord but to the Lord himself. This powerful witness of forgiveness and peace can be seen also by others possibly including the faithful spouse. If an order can be reestablished that remains a witness to all looking on the possibility of restoration in marriage may increase. I have personally witnessed several complete and happy restorations in marriage that was once built first on the Rock.
this very subject ,But I don't recall the verse and book , memory not working !00 % any more .
A broken Marriage is often defiled and to get back together is wrong . I personally have never seen it come to any good as well . My understanding if it helps .
I would not take back a unfaithful spouse into a marriage , but they can be forgiven , if repentant we must do that .
The marriage is defiled they have joined them self to another , can't undo that .
Lets say for instance someone got a divorce from there husband an so the husband kept coming around to see his god children but really trying to see the ex wife, she allowed him, an also to sleep on the couch when it was late, so he boguarded his way back in the house by staying a little while longer and longer, the bible speaks of fornication, but where does it speak on the ex husband assuming that his ex wife has to have sex with him. his reply its only natural, to me natural to me is carnal minded. however I Corinthians speaks on the flesh he has not, asked for the wife to remarry, and the wife feels she back to were they started and were not married but lying up. Is this still considered fornication.
"...God Which raiseth the dead: Who Delivered us from so great a death, and Doth Deliver: in Whom we trust that He Will Yet Deliver us"
Precious friends, is not the Solution to Confusion about God's Eternal Salvation, recognizing God's Differences Between His Relationship With us, And our fellowship with HIM?
God's Simple Will, Today, Under His Pure GRACE? Very Simply showing Three Tenses Of His ETERNAL Salvation:
1) Past Tense:
God Establishes His Eternal Relationship With those who humbly believe, 100% trust, place Total faith, In The LORD JESUS CHRIST, His Death {Precious BLOOD}, Burial, And His Resurrection, According To The Scriptures! 1 Corinthians 15:3-4 cp Ephesians 2:8-9Romans 3Romans 4Romans 5
"GRACE Through faith" In The Merits Of HIS Precious And ALL-Sufficient BLOOD Results:
All sins Forgiven, His Eternal Life, and, Peace With God! This Is Eternal Deliverance From "So Great A Death," The Penalty of sin! God's Operations Are Justification And Sanctification:
Justification Is 'His Righteousness Imputed To us' Romans 4:13,16,22,24
Sanctification Is 'God Setting us Apart,' Spiritually Romans 15:161 Corinthians 1:2
This is First for those who have "first trusted In Christ, Are Made Accepted In The Beloved, and Were Sealed With That Holy Spirit of Promise, Which is The Earnest of our inheritance until The Redemption of The Purchased possession, To The Praise And Glory Of HIS GRACE" Ephesians 1:6,12,13,14 = The Past tense of God's Eternal Salvation
And Then Only After This, occurs the "present and future" tenses of 2 Corinthians 1:10
"...God Which raiseth the dead: Who Delivered us from so great a death, and Doth Deliver: in Whom we trust that He Will Yet Deliver us"
2) God's Eternal Salvation in The Present Tense:
The believer Should do 'good works' for which we 'are created In Christ Jesus' Ephesians 2:10
Note that 'these works' will Never Be Equal to the Total Payment That Christ Made For 'the Penalty of sin,' for which "He Already Delivered" us in the past tense of 2 Corinthians 1:10
These good works are for submission To Him, so that 'He Doth Deliver' us from 'the Power of sin,' present tense of 2 Corinthians 1:10
We "work out Our Own salvation" which Should Be a lifetime of Deliverance From the Power of sin! Our personal {set our-'Self' apart} sanctification:
2A)
"Access The GRACE, Wherein ye stand!..." Romans 5:2
1) "Die Daily" by submission, according to Paul's exhortation:
"I beseech you therefore, brethren, By the Mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice..." Romans 12:1-2 cp 1 Corinthians 15:31
2)
"Walk In The Spirit!" Romans 8:1,4Galatians 5:16,25
"And walk in love, as Christ Also Hath Loved us, and Hath Given HIMSELF For us An Offering and A Sacrifice To God for a sweet-smelling savour." Ephesians 5:2
2b)
Fulfil, by faith, ALL Of His Law, In "ONE Word: LOVE thy neighbor as thyself!" Galatians 5:6Galatians 5:14Romans 13:8-10
2c)
Study HIS Word Of Truth, Rightly Divided, to show thyself Approved Unto God! 2 Timothy 2:15 Eternal Results:
reward, or loss thereof 1 Corinthians 3:6-15, ruling and reigning With CHRIST, Which Will Finally Be At The Judgment Day:
3) God's Eternal Salvation in The Future Tense:
CHRIST's GLORIFICATION of All "members" Of HIS Body! This Is ETERNAL DELIVERANCE From the Presence of sin! 1 Thessalonians 4:13-181 Corinthians 15:51-57
Please Be Richly Encouraged, Enlightened, Exhorted, and Edified!
That is actually a very good question which I just learned about recently. The words that are in italics in the Bible are words that were not necessarily in the original Hebrew or Greek texts. They were added of coarse to help the verses flow in the English language. As I am no scholar in Hebrew or Greek their languages have their own details.
As said most of the words are just to help the verse flow in our language. Though I have seen a couple words that I don't see the reason they added them.
Oh and I just found out another video to help explain the whole River of Life thing. It's by the same people (BibleProject) on YouTube. Except the video is called "Water of Life" and they do a very good job explaining this.
The Tree of Life is mentioned in the book of Genesis along with The Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil ( Genesis 2:9). I found a great video that can explain more about this on YouTube it's titled 'Tree of Life' by the 'BibleProject'.
It's in English, but if you want subtitles are available in English which you can translate with something like Google Translate. If English is not your first language.
Now the River of Life I'm not sure about, but in the Garden of Eden it is mentioned that a river flowed out of the garden and split into four separate rivers. The first is named Pison which encircles the land of Havilah, where there is gold. The second named Gihon which is around the whole land of Ethiopia. The third is named Hiddekel which goes north to Assyria, and the fourth river is the Euphrates. ( Genesis 2:11-14). I hope this helps.
I find it intriguing to consider his writing finger relative to the following passages:
Exodus 8:19 - Then the magicians said unto Pharaoh, This is the finger of God: and Pharaoh's heart was hardened, and he hearkened not unto them; as the LORD had said.
Exodus 31:18 - And he gave unto Moses, when he had made an end of communing with him upon mount Sinai, two tables of testimony, tables of stone, written with the finger of God.
Psalm 8:3 - When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained;
Daniel 5:5 - In the same hour came forth fingers of a man's hand, and wrote over against the candlestick upon the plaister of the wall of the king's palace: and the king saw the part of the hand that wrote.
Luke 11:20 - But if I with the finger of God cast out devils, no doubt the kingdom of God is come upon you.
I believe the significance is what is written in the verse.
HIS posture, how HE didn't get provoked, unalarmed, HE had all authority & stayed in control of HIMSELF & the situation.
This scripture has often had much discussion about what wasn't clearly written even more than what was. I believe the HOLY SPIRIT teaches us even more deeply personally in HIS Word.
Thank you for that beautiful writing about what l know to be true. I have been through many hard knocks to reach out like l do--with the light of the truth of who our God really is. I have learned it all by staying quiet and alone. God talks to you thru silence and listening from the heart of His Love. God is all Love and Compassion. Remember that. All you have to do is read Psalm 23John 3:16:
Dear Patty you have such a Loving Spirit Filled Heart, I pray that many will seek to follow your example and witness of their Love for God and others too. Your Faithfulness Patty has really Blessed me in the time I have been sharing on this Website, Thank you and God Bless you greatly my Dear Sister in Christ Jesus - Anne.
Father help me see the ones that need me. Let me look through Jesus eyes when l see them. Help me gather enough strength to be there in your right time of coming, when they need me the most-- to show them your Light of Compassion and Love!!! Amen
Dear God. Help me help the lost l see. Help me seek their evilness that is keeping them away from being truly yours. Help me with your strength be a warrior for you in these days l know l can be. Amen
Our Sunday school class will be starting 2 Corinthians this coming Sunday. In my daily devotions this morning, how surprised I was that it was 2 Corinthian’s chapter 1. GOD is so good!
spiritual idolatry with the flesh. One of the reasons is there were converts there that literally worshipped sex at
a temple in corinth that was dedicated to that and Paul addressed it big Time!
