It says backsliders will be punished! So stay true to your oath you make to the Lord. Yes it takes a lifelong discipline, so keep the faith my brothers and sisters and pray for one another.

Examine yourself if you are truly in the faith. Let me share with us two things on how to know that you are still in the faith 1. The holyspirit of God will undoubtedly prove to you in your heart that you are. You dont need to think am i still in the faith?. If you are, the holyspirit will be glad and will not hesitate to let you know that you are still on the right ground. But if you are not, that 's when you will start to contemplate and ask yourself "am i still in faith????? " 2. The bibles says greater is ye that is in me than ye that is in world. If you are in the faith, nothing can stand befor you as a barrier. Everything including demons and even Satan itself will be afraid of you. This is because they know who you are. I finally pray to God that you do no evil not that you should appear approved, but that you should do that which is honest, though you may appear and others may think you as a reprobate. God bless you.

To test whether we are in the faith, we have to measure our conduct in the light of what we learn from the bible. To prove what we ourselves are, we have to evaluate the level of our spirituality, including the sharpness of our perceptive powers and the extent of our works of faith,

Examine yourselves and see if you are still in faith brother paul adivised.Yes often times we mix up the natural with the spiritual bringing the two together which causes a lot of problems as we are not always in the spirit most of the times we are over taken by the flesh thats why we need to re examine ourselves and return back on track with God 's word. We are also called to be perfect and be at unity and live in peace with one anorher even with holy kiss as brother paul adivised showing we need each other always to run this race no one can stand alone those who are strong need the weak perfecting each other. As we do his will may we graciously continue to run with the word of God in lJN Amen.

Verse 8 We don 't have to defend the truth we should just have to desire to give the gospel to people who needs it. God doesn 't need body guards to prove Himself. His word is complete. If someone doesn 't want to listen they will not listen. We just plant seeds and go on. It should be a passion for Christians to want to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

II Corinthians 13:5 “Examine yourself, whether ye be in the faith, prove yourself:
    - Do you enjoy spiritual fellowship with God, with Christ, and fellow believers ( 1 John 1:3, 4). Neglect not assembly.
    - What is your attitude toward the world and its values ( 1 John 2:15). Love not the world.
    - Are you obedient to the commandments of the scriptures ( 1 John 2:3-5).
    - We know him because we keep his commandments.
    - Do you have the ability to discern between spiritual truth and error ( 1 John 4:1-6).
    - Do you live sinless now since you have professed faith in Christ ( 1 John 3:5, 6).
    - Do you fall to temptation ( 1 John 1:5-10).
    - Do you believe the basic doctrines of the faith ( 1 John 5:1). God so love the world. Have you experienced persecution for your Christian faith ( John 15:18-20). They hated Jesus.
    - Do you love other believers ( 1 John 3:14). He that loves not knows not God.
    - Do you have the inner witness of the Holy Spirit ( 1 John 4:13). Our spirit bears record with his spirit.
    - Have you experienced answered prayers ( 1 John 3:22).
    - Do you love Jesus and look forward to His coming ( 1 John 3:2, 3).

I love this, Repent and be baptized everyone of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of your sins. Acts 2:38 not in the title Matthew 28:19, there is no power in a title, only Jesus’ name.
  • Markg on 2 Corinthians 13 - 14 years ago
Verse 5 tells us to exam ourselves to see if we are on the faith. The faith...that God has all power! The faith in Jesus Christ that He suffered, died for your sins, and is coming back for you.
    Repent and be babtized
Read Psalms 51...make it your repentive prayer.
