    2 Corinthians 3:3 KJV

For as much as ye are manifestly declared to be the epistle of Christ ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God: not in tables of stone, but in fleshy tables of the heart.

I have this verse memorized and I am not sure what version of the Holy Scriptures it is written in but I am almost certain it is from an Old King James... however I cannot find it anywhere online as the OKJV of the Bible has become too rustic for most modern readers and they are not acquainted with its writings... Please tell me what version of the Bible I can find this text from the Book of 2 Corinthians (Chapter 3, Verse 3)??? I would like to purchase a new Bible soon and want it to read the same way my Old King James did if I can even find one anywhere... Thank You!

"Not written with ink in tables of stone but in fleshy tables of the heart as we have ministered on the epistle of love to God-ward a greater glory than condemns, that which ministers faith by which the righteous live by." ( 2 Cor. 3:3)

This Chapter Brought so much light to me. At first it question's us, asking did u start to commend ourself? or need we? - How did you answer, who did you praise...

(we should not steal any glory from God). Then we are reminded that it is not the things written down but that which is written in our hearts. (by which only the Holy Ghost can do), by that may be known and read of all men. (So the feeling we get from the law when read is abolished to ye but to keep us humble, that we continue God-ward to His Glory). For as much as we are openly declaring a speaker of Christ, not in ink but with the Spirit of the living God. ("It cannot be seen on table of stone (note: how this is not mentioning the heart, but clear stated as tables, manmade, steady, load bearing things, and to write in them is agonising work and seems physically impossible) Ezekiel. 36:26 Making it solely a spirit working; the Spirit has written them'. And we by faith we trust in Christ looking God-ward. No longer tied to the exterior earthly forwardness but the Spirits which giveth Life.

This gives none a chance to boast or figure themselves above anyone, that they may think themselves, enough are sufficient, for all the sufficiency we have or not; "our sufficiency is of God".

Such depth, I hope to meditate and remind my self of..

Grace and peace from God our Father and from our Lord Jesus Christ.

I tell ye, this coming of the very Christ, and the counsel of the Spirit of Christ himself, IS the love of GOD the Father. For only Christ himself does GOD now give authority to preach upon the earth. And Christ can do only the will of GOD the Father who sent him. For many hypocrites, saying they love GOD but have their own free will, are all dead liars. For the counsel of the wicked, evil man: who is humankind, IS the love of money, not GOD. And the wicked feasts on the proud minds as they tell ye, Have high self-esteem! Be confident in yourselves! Feel good about yourselves: for you did no wrong! But when the money runs out, the counsellors run out. For the workers of iniquity are hirelings who care not for the sheep, but for the money. They are all counterfeits, teaching the love of money, not GOD. For the scribes and Pharisees, speaking here and there, care for YOU NOT. And their bug out bags, and their guns, and their stockpiles, and their safe rooms, and their solar panels, and their evacuation plans, and their garages filled with food and their hopeless vaccines profit them NOT in the day of the LORD'S anger: IT IS the LORD who made this earth to do all these things. So let wisdom be your mother: not nature. And depart from pride as PRIDE IS EVIL. For it is written in the Holy Scriptures, and taught of GOD: In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God. He hath garnished the excellent works of his wisdom, and he is from everlasting to everlasting: unto him may nothing be added, neither can he be diminished, and he hath no need of any counsellor. He seeth from everlasting to everlasting; and there is nothing wonderful before him. Wisdom IS the principal thing; THEREFORE get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding. Behold, the fear of the Lord, that IS wisdom; and to depart from evil IS understanding.

In Adam we ALL die but in Christ we will ALL live, Remember he said if i be lifted up i will draw ALL men unto me. If the curse of ADAM was applied to every man no exceptions then wd not the blood of Christ be applied to every man automatically as it was in ADAM TRANGRESSION . But I'm meaning under the NEW Covenant. Under the NEW Covenant GOD said he wd know them ALL from the least to the greatest and this ( KNOW THEM ALL ) is an intimacy with God that results in a birth via his seed the LIVING WORD. Being born again of an incorruptible seed ,Even by the words of God that liveth and abideth for ever. The living WORD of God which is the book in the right hand of the father that contains the words of LIFE , It was after the book was opened that the woman goes into travail and CHILD BIRTH, Thats y they sang a new song simply b/c the book is the New Covenant that is gonna be applied to everyman ,The woman is the field the world that is gonna birth a baby Christ as Jeremiah saw all men in travail and child birth remember Jesus said the field was the world where that good seed was gona be sown resulting in a heavenly Birth in all of US sinners. If the stain and the spot of adam was applied to everyman no exceptions , Then the blood of Christ is gonna be applied to everyman no exceptions ,Remember Isaiah said he wd stain ALL his raiment.UNTO HIM THAT HAS LOVED US AND HAS WASHED US FROM OUR SINS IN HIS OWN BLOOD, THATS EVERYBODY AS GOD SO LOVED THE WORLD ETC. The new covenant is gona be different from the old covenant , God is gonna apply the blood of Christ to all of US. If i be lifted up ( his blood ) I will draw ALL men unto me. No man cd escape the curse of adam ,Thus no man will be able to escape the blood and the blessing of Christ. It wd make the FATHER a hypocrite if he applied the curse of adam, to every man Automatically and not apply the blood and blessings of Christ to every man Automatically at their New Birth . His rain n sun falls on everybody automatic .

Comments by Alex on 2 nd Cor. 3 : 6 Who has made us able ministers of the New Testament Not of the letter, the written word which killeth .But the living word has eternal life but of the Spirit for the Spirit the living word giveth life as Jesus said my Words are Spirit and Life .But Jesus says there is no eternal life in the scriptures per se the written words .Remember Israel was sola scriptura but they stoned almost every Prophet that God sent them but Rejected the Christ.Eternal life is only in the living WORD WHICH IS THE H.G.. The written word is the reason we have a zillion different churches on every corner and none of them believe the same thing they answer to Babylon .Sorry but its the truth. But the bible is holy and precious but it answers to the lesser light ,but the living word answers to the greater light. Thats y Jesus is saying i am the light of the world, but the bible is not the light of the world but its a lesser light, a nite light ,but Jesus says if we walk in the nite ( the lesser light ) we are gonna stumble Remember David said thy word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path but David stumbled ( bathsheba ) There is A GREATER LIGHT THEN THE BIBLE WHICH IS THE BOOK IN THE RIGHT HAND OF THE FATHER, THIS IS THE GREATER LIGHT .THE BOOK OF LIFE ,AND HIS FACE SHINES AS THE SUN IMPLING THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD IS TRULY THE LIVING WORD. the written word is like a love letter from a far away lover ,But the living WORD Is the bridegroom himself, God himself. The very Kingdom of God in Humanity the world. Jesus said i am the light of the world. God made 2 lights the lesser light and the greater light,But the written word answers to the lesser light but the living WORD answers to the greater light . Thats y i posted this 2 cor. 3 v 6 . Remember Moses face was Glorious but the LAW The written word was the ministration of death, the soul that sinneth shall surly die. ok lemme go

God Himself wrote down the ten commandments,Moses wrote down all the other laws,Moses hand written laws were nailed to the stake and not the ten commandments,The ten commandments are now Spiritual in the Law of Love for God And for your fellow Man,Now worship God in Spirit by keeping his ten commandments which are not that difficult to keep.

    Michele,

I would say yes. This is a great passage that goes all the way to Verse 11. It says but if the ministration of death, written and engraven in stones, was glorious, (meaning it is of God, and the activities in the Old Testament, it's all of God). The commandments were written on stones by God.

They were given by God, so they are glorious, so that the children of Israel could not stedfastly behold the face of Moses for the glory of his countenance; which glory was to be done away:

Verse 8 says how shall not the ministration of the Spirit be even more glorious? So if what God did on stone was glorious, think about how much more glorious something that is permanent and done by the Spirit of God is.

And then Paul gives another comparison starting at Verse 9 and going to Verse 11. He says for if the ministration of condemnation be glory, (that's the law), judgment, much more doth the ministration of righteousness exceed in glory.

For even that which was made glorious had no glory in this respect, by reason of the glory that excels it.

For if that which is done away was glorious, meaning that the law was only served just a certain portion to bring people to Christ, and then after that, it has no more purpose.

If that which is temporary is glorious, much more that which remains, meaning that which is permanent, is glorious.

In the old testament there was the law of God and other laws. The must do to be holy and sanctified. When Christ died on the cross and rise again, we died with Him and rise with Him. When we believe in Christ, we are reborn, God planted His seed in us. The do has disappeared and we are a new Creation in Christ. We don't have to do anything we have liberty in Christ and we can live Christ. Gal 2:20. Our lives is our testimony and our words confirm that. There are several places where Paul stated that we are perfect in Christ. We don't have to do anything anymore save to build a living relationship with Christ.

When I read verses 13-16, it makes me think of Moses reflecting the Old Testament, and how he wasn't able to reach Canaan. That someone else had to carry the people into the promised land. The law that was written in stone can never be perfectly followed. But, Joshus who lead the rest of the way into Canaan is in a way Jesus-like figure. Jesus is the New Testament and through him and his 11th commandment to love God, with all our hearts, body, mind and soul and to love our brethern as ourselves and with his atoning and redeeming sacrifice we are saved through Faith in Him. Not by the laws of stone, but by the laws of the heart, mercy, not sacrifice.

This profound chapter condenses the biblical doctrine of the glory of God with the revelation of the same glory in man through the testaments. Fundamentally, believers must refrain from reading the old testament with the same blinders that beclouded the judgement of the people of old. We should discern biblical truth from this side of the cross and not be recidivists of a legalistic framework. In John 17 at Gethsemane, Our Lord Jesus declared that he was since that time sharing that glory with us (the Church). Consequently there is a progressive accentuation of this glory with our spending time in His presence. It is a "Christo-centrically" transformative work of the Holy Spirit..

This chapter has depth of meaning and takes special meditation. Importantly, the take away is "where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. Let us live in the Spirit and walk in the Spirit, and therefore have great peace. Additionally, "our sufficiency is of God". How wonderful to know through Christ we are liberated. Don't put your trust in man, but trust only in GOD.

If I may say " In the reading of the old testament a veil covers their face." We need to understand what the old testament is and what it entails. It is not the 39 books but a particular covenant given to the children of Israel through Moses.Every time it is read a veil covers the face of people that they cannot see past their condemnation by it or EVEN TO SEE CHRIST'S WORK ON THE CROSS.

2 cor 3:18 is wonderful verse, and states But we "all" that links the born again. again we observe" beholding as in a glass" the perfection we are progressing in is evident. The agent in perfection "the Spirit of the Lord" God has wanderful plan to: purposefuly save us, personally support us, primarily subject us to working of Holy Spirit in us" for complete change like His Son. "Amen"

2 Corinthians 9:8 And God is able to make all grace abound toward you that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work: The Kingdom of Heaven is promised to the Jews and the Body of the Church is for the Gentiles in the Kingdom of God. 2 Thessalonians 1:5 Apostle Paul was writing to saved Gentiles.

Genesis 17:9 And God said unto Abraham, Thou shalt keep my covenant therefore, thou, and thy seed after thee in their generations. Israel will have a new covenant , that will be in there New Heart written so they don't forget. That is God's promise for Israel, the Kingdom of Heaven.
