I think that if a believer strives to feed the spirit, keep his/her focus on Christ, remain in submission to Christ, that believer does well.
As far as fighting the devil, my thoughts are that we don't have to fight the devil because he's already been defeated. We are told in Ephesians 6:11 to stand against the wiles (schemes) of the devil, not fight, but stand. Why? Because our position is in Christ at the right hand of the throne of God in the spirit realm!
My understanding of 2 Corinthians Chapter 4 is that the entire chapter is talking about ministry.
I have broken this chapter down into 3 Chapter Outlines in my Bible as such:
2 Corinthians 4:1-6 gives us the philosophy of ministry.
2 Corinthians 4:7-15 talks about the plan in ministry.
2 Corinthians 4:16-18 is the perception of ministry.
But you are correct about feeding the spirit and not the flesh. We are to deny our fleshly desires if we want to be disciples of Jesus Christ. Feeding the spirit is what produces growth in the believer. It also shows our love for Christ!

Unfortunately, and sorry to say, the short answer is, "no." I'm glad you've accepted Christ and that question is not for you. To me, this is why the Gospel is so convincing/convicting. I believe the Bible makes it very clear upon death that our fate is sealed, or your name is in the "Book of Life" or not. The closest you could come to this; for the living to be in the tribulation. Much controversy about that. Yet, not really. Jesus comes and takes His Church/gentiles (by REV 4, no mention afterwards). Our chapter is done as we know it - literally. It now goes back to God's promise for the Jews, His chosen people. I don't know how this will technically work for a gentile in tribulation, but it seems by now, you will have to give your life by total sacrifice/Martyrdom and deny the world/mark/beast ( Rev 13,14) Even so, you'd not be wise to gamble in tribulation, by REV 6 scrolls are unsealed and only goes south from there.

I would encourage anyone reading the Bible to do a study on perfection in a believer. We have all sinned and come short of the glory of God, but after we have been cleansed from sin (not just covered) we are to go on to perfection. Hebrews 6:1. Luke 6:40 states "The disciple is not above his master: but every one that is perfect shall be as his master". We are called to be like Christ.
1st off; GOD is highly intelligent and is JUDGE. HE created all the stars and knows them by name. HE knows when a single hair falls from HIS creatures. HE is a heart knower and only judge who is a righteous and just JUDGE. No one will perish that doesn't deserve too ( Romans 14:12). There is no 2nd chances but there are many who never got a 1st chance. It is written the millennium will be a time of teaching. The elect will be able to go to sister/brother/near kin and try to save them.

The things for us to know have been revealed but also more shall be revealed in the future (PLEASE read: 1 Corinthians 13:9-12); however, what we do know is that it's absolutely necessary to accept Truth prior to leaving this Earth, especially if one deems it necessary to be at peace with The CREATOR here on Earth, and also in the Afterlife. Hello Shirley. I believe as residents of this Earth & hearers of this Good News of salvation, we are obliged to make a response to Jesus while there is still breath in our bodies. Once we depart this life, there remains no further opportunity. Hebrews 9:27 states, "it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment". No second chances or opportunities - only God's Judgement awaits all those who have refused Him & His Offer of Love.
And this is also why Jesus, after he arose from the grave, gave commmandment to His disciples in Matthew 28:18-20, to go & share this Good News, teaching them, baptizing them after they believe, & to obey His Commandments. And the disciples, after they were filled with the Holy Spirit at Pentecost, did just that, sharing the Gospel in the regions near & beyond, & bringing those who would be saved into the fold of Christ. If this sense of grave responsibility & urgency wasn't there, it could well mean that there was still hope for people after the grave. But this is not the case. People need to hear this message now - tomorrow might be too late for them. Many refuse to hear, but we pray that God will direct our steps & our voices to those appointed to receive eternal life. At least to our loved ones, friends & associates, this Good News must be shared that they not be consigned to the place of eternal punishment.
As a woman whose husband likes my hair short rather than long (and I prefer it short as well) I have often thought about this teaching from Paul. For me, if my husband approves of my hair length, then I am honoring him by doing as he wishes.
But also, I think about what I need to do if I am in a position to teach youth (or children). Would the length of my hair cause anyone to doubt other instructions in the Bible when they read this verse? I wore my hair long when I taught youth and children in church for this reason. Now I have a Muslim daughter in law. God, She covers her hair with a scarf and wears long sleeves. I ask God, how do I honor her culture/faith while still exercising liberty in Christ? So, if she is offended that my hair isn't covered, I will have her teach me to cover my head with a scarf as she does. It is all about my witness. I have no problem with wearing my hair long or wearing a scarf in church. That is not a difficult teaching for me to follow. I do not think that it should necessarily be done by all women in all churches. But we should have a willing heart to follow these inspired instructions from the apostles if it will allow us to be all things to all people, that some might come to believe.

There's no other custom in any of the churches of God than what Paul just said right here. So Paul says if you want to be contentious, you're going against God!
A few meditations on another covering besides the hair. Paul never mentions husband and wife in his writing on a woman's covering, he only speaks of "man" and "woman". The nature of a "man" often is selfish and yet "woman" was made from man. If a "woman" who has, like a "man" submitted herself to God by faith, has a visible sign of her faith to "man",would not the "man" whom she comes from feel more accountable to provide his covering of Jesus Christ as a blessing and safety to the "woman"?
Then also, if a covering for a "woman" of faith conviction can be reasonably removed or added (separated from all other parts of being covered for modesty sake, thinking of both "man" and "woman") so when prayer is being considered or prayer service, her place in order is prepared by her own knowledge of preparation of a covering. This conviction then also causes the "man" to take notice of his current relationship with his head, Christ Jesus. Then another consideration is the world looking on. Perhaps a visible sign as a covering protects the "woman" when a Spirit led "man" is not present. When a Christian "woman" is with children, there also is covering of safety that stands out as peculiar amongst the unconverted and even as an an example to the children with the "woman".

Hello, when reading God's word, one must distinguish between moral law, ceremonial law, civil law. It's my opinion that head covering, circumcision, clothing, etc were Jewish customs and ceremonial laws not applying today. Moral law, like the ten commandments, love thy neighbor, do not kill, apply today.

That is God's order for the church and we should not violate that order. If you look at verse 5, it makes it sound like you have to wear a head covering. But here's what was taking place in Corinth at that time. This is what it's referring to. In Corinth, the prostitutes who worked the temple area, you could tell who they were because of their shaved heads.
And so he's talking about a covering for women being a symbol or a representation of the fact that she is in submission to her head who is the husband. So what he's saying here is that you put a covering on to show your submission to God's order. If you don't want to do that, you might as well shave your head and be like the rebel prostitutes that are outside. It's either one or the other!
But what is that covering? 1 Corinthians 11:15 says, But if a woman has long hair, it is a glory to her. And notice this, this is the key: for her hair is given to her for a covering.
