Salvation means being saved from hell. Hell is where those who reject Jesus will go. May God bless you. Link

Thank you Adam. However, I used to practically be atheist so now that I believe I'd rather (not assume things) obey THE MOST HIGH than men. I don't want to be as the heathens but be obedient to THE FATHER repentant and obedient to HIS LAWS STATUTES and COMMANDMENTS in our SAVIOR'S NAME!😇

What is salvation and why is it important?
  • Mickey on 2 Esdras 1 - 4 years ago
Born again believers in Jesus will be present at the Bema Seat (judgment) of Christ. Its for rewards. Did we follow Jesus and minister salvation to the lost, pray for the sick, visit prisoners, hand out some tracts
As Carman sings in Overcoming Child of God...Bible thumping, pew jumping, shouting, screaming, overcoming child of God :)

LESLIE. If you are against re-selling the rings; put them in a Jewelry box and save them for your kids wedding someday. Did you google Jewish wedding traditions? There's info on the rings.
  • Adam - In Reply on 2 Esdras 1 - 4 years ago
It's my opinion that wedding rings are important symbols of love and commitment and should be kept. God wants us to have strong bonds of love and commitment with each other. We shouldn't let false claims perpetuated from pagans, radical groups, or any evil infiltrate to rain on our parade. Rings have been used for millennia and are fine and have nothing to do with paganism in my opinion. May God bless you and your marriage.
  • Leslie - In Reply on 2 Esdras 1 - 4 years ago
Ok, but again what do we do with our wedding rings we ignorantly purchased as a symbol of our union?
  • Mickey - In Reply on 2 Esdras 1 - 4 years ago
Wedding rings in the Bible are not given. You can google, Jewish Wedding Traditions, and get all the info you are seeking.

In my opinion, just because someone claims ownership of something doesn't mean they really do. The Bible says satan rules the world, but we still have to live here and that doesn't mean I'm doing satanic things by any means, the opposite. I reject pagan or evil ownership of everything they claim. For example, Christmas, it's the one day a year some people go to church and hear about Jesus and I don't think that should be thrown away just because someone claims there's pagan ties. There's actually evidence that Christians did already celebrate Dec 25th first before pagans claimed it, so I reject the enemy's claims on my life. God is the judge. A ring too is Biblical and not pagan: Luke 15:22
  • Leslie - In Reply on 2 Esdras 1 - 4 years ago
Since wedding rings symbolize pagan practices what should we do with our wedding rings?
  • A. B. - In Reply on 2 Esdras 1 - 4 years ago
    Are wedding rings biblical?

The ancient pagan Romans were responsible for beginning the use of engagement and wedding rings.

They wore the ring on the third finger of the left hand because they believed that a vein from this finger runs directly to the heart.

Most of what is done in a wedding ceremony is based on pagan practices yet many Christians over look this because of "tradition".

Do Hebrew Israelites wear wedding rings? If not what do we do with them? My husband thinks we can wear them as a necklace, I disagree and feel convicted when I do.

The Book Esdras and the entire are excellent Books and they were apparently removed from the King James 1611 Bible to hide a lot of what is happening now. But God has broken the seal and the Books are now open for us to read and see what has been hidden. For Jesus said that everything that is hidden shall be put out in the open. I understand that Israel was a stubborn people. They had short memories and even though He turned his back on His people for their transgressions of His laws, He still loved them and not all perished. Even though I have never seen Him, I still believe in Him and will only worship Him. There's still sin in my life just as there is in everyone's but I call into remembrance what He's done for me which causes me to refrain from sin as best as I can. There have to be others who strive to please The Most High as I do so those who keep His commandments to the end, which He said will only be a remnant left after the Great Tribulation, will receive the promise He made to Abraham, Isaac Jacob who TMH renamed Israel. The remnant of the Israelites will rule the world in the new kingdom--the new Jerusalem--and the Gentiles who will be among them will be their helpers. Just as God spared the Israelites in the wilderness after all the adults died he will again spare a chosen few for His new kingdom. This is all prophesied in the bible. Since TMH was jealous about His people turning away from Him and fornicating with false gods, it is understandable why He would allow many to perish but because of His profound love for His people and the promise He made which has not yet manifested, He's looking at the hearts of man to see who will be worthy to enter His kingdom so that promise will be kept.

Seeing the comments are like of GOD 'S eternal plan understanding. Israel is the people of the first generation. Gentiles are the people of the second generation. Both are new bottles for new wine bodies of GOD . The third generation will be Israel again: having been brought through fire to purify their temples: that they will become new bottles for the new wine of the third generation, that being the FATHER 'S body! This book, and chapter, 2 Esdras 1 has nothing that is not in the original KJV: lack of understanding GOD 'S eternal plan, in spirit, baffles one 's knowledge of HIM!

  • John The Revalator on 2 Esdras 1 - 10 years ago
The Holy God of Israel neither Changes nor Repents, Therefore The Israelites, Jews, are God 's ONLY people, Sorry, Allan, Your chritern theology is Foolishness. If God cast away His Self Made People, HE IS A FALSE GOD, nay, GOD IS REAL, No christ was ever required to obtain Forgiveness.

it says, the petition of the heart of God about the israel his people that despised not only the word but all His prophets HE sent to them to acknowledge Him,but they did not do so,so the Lord gave them the warning and also His word on how they escape of the upcoming wrath through their repentance through faith..the great sin of them to God is their unbelief after the the great mighty works of God did unto them but so on fell to unbelief.
