    V. 16; Ps. 98:4 - Super Bowl Sunday - The costumes, painted faces, CURSING, people being hurt in the stands, let alone the players, the thrill at players being hurt; and these are some of the people that despise the exuberant worship of God and are embarrassed by it as Michal was.
The Bible says God INHABITS the PRAISES of His people.
  • Irene123 on 2 Samuel 6 - 7 years ago
Michal - we do inherit our parents 'characters', somewhat, but any sinful parts the Lord can easily get rid of. Michal inherited Saul's jealousy.

Uzzah was struck dead by the LORD because He was angry that the priests had not carried the ark on their shoulders as they were supposed to have done. Instead they used a heathen method of transportation. This was the LORD'S way of showing His displeasure.
  • Dave on 2 Samuel 6 - 8 years ago
The picture here is the ark (type of Jesus Christ) being presented in an improper way and one man (Uzza) dies because of it. The oxen (type of the priesthood) stumbled, shaking the ark. The ark ends up going to the Gentiles (Obededom the Gititie).

By throwing off the royal robes he uncovered himself. He had on the garments that went under the ephod. Which are long pants and a tunic. The evil wife of his was refeing to the dance and taking off the royal robe. I will never believe he danced stark naked before the LORD unless the LORD GOD ALMIGHTY says HE did.

Not a worldly or fleshly dance or expession but a spiritual dance.theres a big diffrence.
  • Terry on 2 Samuel 6 - 9 years ago
We sing a song that goes like this "when the spirit of the Lord is in my heart I will sing like David danced, when the spirit of the Lord is in my heart I will dance like David danced..... " I think Miriam and the others sang and danced before the Lord after they crossed the red sea, "I will sing unto the Lord for He has triumphed gloriously the horse and the rider thrown into the sea... "

Faa, David left the Ark at Obe-edom 's house because when God struck Uzzah dead, David became vexed grieved , and fearful, but later David went back and brought the Ark to its intended place city of David which is Jerusalem.
  • Terry on 2 Samuel 6 - 9 years ago
Joab Okello, there is nowhere in II Sam. where it says David was naked. He was wearing an Ephod which is a Priestly outfit.
  • Joab okello on 2 Samuel 6:14 - 9 years ago
David did A sinful act before the lord by being naked we should praise the lord, but not to an extent of being out of control
  • Faa on 2 Samuel 6:10 - 9 years ago
Why did David leave the ark to Oped-edom but to someone else or atraight to his place?
  • Oyebowale samson on 2 Samuel 6:16 - 9 years ago
The ark of God proves the majesty of God over humanity
  • Trump150 on 2 Samuel 6 - 9 years ago
The lord bless the house in Jesus name.
  • Isabel on 2 Samuel 6:14 - 10 years ago
I love this Bible verse, because our gratitude should reflect in our daily walk with God even if circumstances or obstacles get in our way.
  • Mavis on 2 Samuel 6:14 - 10 years ago
David was over joyed after offering his sacafrice his sin offering of forgiviness which was received by God and seeing that God did not strike him down as he did Uzzah who would not have dance if i was there me to would kick up this too call for a shout David used every fiber in his body to give God the praise
  • Richard tembo on 2 Samuel 6:14 - 11 years ago
whatever we do for the Lord we should do it with all our might and we should not be shy of on lookers. David danced he didn't care who was looking at him because he was king all eyes were on him but he concentrated on the Lord our God
  • Timothy Wayne George on 2 Samuel 6:14 - 11 years ago
King David shows his gratitude to Jehovah by dancing before the Ark of the Covenant, in the linen ephod, the attire of priest, and he gives us a pattern as ministers how we are to serve God. My daughter loves to dance, as the team captain for her drill team, and I shared this scripture with her, and told her to dance before the Lord with all her might. Paul told us that whatever we do, do all to the glory of God. Let everything that has breath praise the Lord.
