Jim God hates those who teach his children to fly to save their souls. Satan' lie. All go through the test and all are changed at the same time and that's the 7th trump. The test is if you have read the scriptures with understanding and know Gods true salvation and if you do you escape the hour of temptation because you can't be tempted by the devil in his deception of playing the role of Christ.
  • Jim on 2 Thessalonians 2 - 8 years ago
to Karl and anyone else who cares to listen. There will be a great separation of believers and unbelievers at His second coming, but prior to that event and the tribulation the Church will be raptured. The Church is a unique special group. There will be people who will be saved during the tribulation but they are referred to as tribulation saints. They will live during that horrible time.
  • Jim pashayan on 2 Thessalonians 2 - 8 years ago
In this chapter Paul is warning these believers not to be shaken up by the false teaching that the day of the Lord is upon them. This will not happen until after the rapture and then the great apostacy. I John 4 vs 18 "There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love." Godly reverence does not equal worldy fear.
  • Karl on 2 Thessalonians 2 - 8 years ago
to Jaime - I always thought it referred to a one of Jesus's parables -the tares from the wheat, but much more a separation from the sincere faithful from the merely superficial faithful, in adversity faith shines stronger and fades not - any help?
  • Word on 2 Thessalonians 2 - 8 years ago
Amywayi Daniel the elect don't put on the gospel armour to fly away in the end days. They stand with the two witnesses. No mans salvation thought up calling it a rapture because Christ returns here to set up His Kingdom. God told us and He wrote a whole chapter Ezekiel 13 not to believe in men who dream up Devine thoughts out of their own minds making up flying away junk. All children will be here

That why we need someone to guide us today who can communicate with God in order for us to know his will and no one can do that except a holy man called Prophet. In 2 Peter 1:20 says "Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost"
  • JANICE J. GREEN on 2 Thessalonians 2 - 8 years ago
This means that I was taught the word of God believed and obeyed. Now something or someone has caused me to doubt the word of God. I must now repent asking God for forgiveness. Begin once again trusting that His word is true. The worse thing to do is to give up. We all fall short, but we serve a forgiven God. Remember there is only one perfect. That is our Heavenly Father! Yes it is the fall of church as was supported in Amos 8:11
  • Amwayi Daniel on 2 Thessalonians 2 - 8 years ago
its all about falling a way from the true faith, loosing the first love, faith in God, running to others gods, not meeting the quality of the original believing church had. it is until this happen when the son of the living God shall come to rapture the elect.
  • Jeremy D on 2 Thessalonians 2 - 8 years ago
This is referring to the day when the anti-christ shall come and deceive many (even those who are Christians). He will work miracles and heal people. He will be very convincing to many and those who refuse to believe that he is the son of God will be persecuted, but if we endure to the end, we shall be saved when the real Christ return to take us up into the clouds, so we can be with him always.
  • Jesse Wiggins on 2 Thessalonians 2 - 8 years ago
This is the great apostity, when christians turn away from worshiping Christ and start worshiping satan Christ will not return until the son of perdition, which is satan comes here first. Read John 17 and Revelation 17.
  • Jaime on 2 Thessalonians 2 - 8 years ago
in verse 3 it says , except there come a falling away first; what does this mean in reference to the text and verse. am I wrong or does this mean a falling away of the church?
  • Word on 2 Thessalonians 2 - 8 years ago
Ken when the son of perdition comes as the false Christ first and all the churches worship antichrist in the falling away if you want to jump in and join them and run with the crowd have fun. But you won't be with the chosen who have their gospel armour on standing against the antichrist and those who fall away worshipping him.
  • Word on 2 Thessalonians 2 - 8 years ago
Let no man deceive you that son of perdition Satan
  • Wayne on 2 Thessalonians 2 - 8 years ago
    V. 3. Let no man deceive you. Same as Christ stating Matt. 24. And don't grow complacent nor weary in well doing.
  • BSP on 2 Thessalonians 2 - 8 years ago
There may be some that try to shake our faith, but verse 2 tells us not to be quickly shaken from our reason. We have to constantly reason on matters using God's Word the Bible.
  • Michael C. on 2 Thessalonians 2 - 8 years ago
Brethren in the Lord; compare 1 Kings 22:19-23: there was a scene and words spoken, which some of us may soon be able to identify with. I've never understood Jehoshaphat's readiness or ease in sitting with Ahab. We might also wonder at who will be misled to sit with the wicked; while the real servants of God are brought in to speak the truth, but shall only be rebuked, and after cast into prison.
  • Earlline on 2 Thessalonians 2 - 8 years ago
    Amen!!
  • Jack Hughes on 2 Thessalonians 2 - 8 years ago
You are so right my brother ! God is Word over everything !

  • Ron Scarbro on 2 Thessalonians 2 - 8 years ago
"For such a time as this". In this day that we are in I think it is critical that THE CHURCH get back to the sound doctrine that is the Gospel of Jesus Christ and stand on it. Sin is Sin no matter what title we or the world wants to put on it, as is evil. It is TIME that The People of GOD stand and be accounted. It is sad that as we look at the church there is not a noticeable difference between it and the world.
  • Matthew Hamersly on 2 Thessalonians 2 - 8 years ago
    AMEN
  • Word on 2 Thessalonians 2 - 8 years ago
The falling away is the great apostacy! Satan comes as a false messiah with flattery and prosperity for all who will be deceived. Why the world will say it's the Lamb of God his powers bringing lightning from the sky and he speaks with such great political power bringing peace to the world what a great religious and godly being it is the Son of God return. It's a false peace and deception SO WAIT
  • Eric on 2 Thessalonians 2 - 8 years ago
Are not five sparrows sold for two farthings, and not one of them is forgotten before God? And they fell upon their faces, and said, O God, the God of the spirits of all flesh, shall one man sin, and wilt thou be wroth with all the congregation? O thou that hearest prayer, unto thee shall all flesh come. My mouth shall speak the praise of the LORD: and let all flesh bless his holy name for ever and ever. And I will remember my covenant, which is between me and you and every living creature of all flesh and the waters shall no more become a flood to destroy all flesh. Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for me? Be silent, O all flesh, before the LORD: for he is raised up out of his holy habitation. These words spake Jesus, and lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, I pray for them: I pray not for the world, but for them which thou hast given me for they are thine. While I was with them in the world, I kept them in thy name: those that thou gavest me I have kept, and none of them is lost, but the son of perdition that the scripture might be fulfilled. And all flesh shall see the salvation of God. And the glory of the LORD shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it.
  • Mark on 2 Thessalonians 2 - 8 years ago
Falling away means the lukewarm attitude we have in worshiping. In the main we as Christians do not walk with God like we use to. We have allowed the things of this world to complicate life to the point that we do not worship as in times past. We have allowed ourselves to put other things in front of serving God.
  • Bro William on 2 Thessalonians 2 - 8 years ago
But now there are many anti-christs. "The mystery of iniquity doth already work". And no wonder, Satan himself appears as an angel of revelation. And transforms his workers of deceit into ministers of righteous know-it-alls.
  • Ken on 2 Thessalonians 2 - 8 years ago
The falling away precedes the translation. The falling away is the time prior to the revelation of the anti-Christ, as referenced above. The end of the church age. The falling away includes both unbelievers and believers. The unbelievers are "condemned already". Believers are eternally secure even though many get caught up in apostasy.
  • Word on 2 Thessalonians 2 - 8 years ago
As I said those that think they are a widow no longer and that their husband has came home either to rapture them out or for what ever reason Satan wants them to believe as he twist the scriptures to win them over as he plays false messiah will lose but the fact is nobody's going nowhere until we are all changed into spiritual bodies and the bride will be tested along with The saints. ALL that's U
  • Stephen F. Zielski on 2 Thessalonians 2 - 8 years ago
Any born again saint who truly has any accurate knowledge of Gods Holy Word knows that its IMPOSSIBLE for thE antichrist to show up in this day and time because the HOLY SPIRIT TONGUES a.k.a. THE RESTRAINER is still fully present and he cannot show up until the TRUE BRIDE is FULLY RESTORED AMEN ! When the time comes the GATHERING will arrive . This is Truly Rightly Divided Accuracy. Shalom !
  • Word on 2 Thessalonians 2 - 8 years ago
Ken apostacy happens when the false messiah, antichrist who looks exactly like the Lamb of God but is Satan who comes to deceive the whole world, speaks like the dragon because he twist scriptures as he did tempting Christ on the desert. Antichrist is coming with power man has never seen before and churches will be falling away chasing after him as he will look so religious. Super preacher coming.
