As in every place in Scripture where the Spirit speaks about the coming Day of the LORD; it is first priority for preparing the Saints to be well informed and secured in their faith, against the things necessary to bring about the completion of the age. We shouldn't be scandalized away from Jesus by the taking away of all restraint of the wicked by God, but to understand why these things must be.

2 Thessalonians 2:8-17 V.10 "And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish;because they received not the love of the truth;that they might be saved. "(Those that do not receive the love of the truth, will not be saved,will perish (in the lake of fire). 11"God shall send them strong delusion," 14"called you by our gospel." No love,no truth,no salvation,not qualified=no help.

I care very much for souls on here. I'm trying not to sound condescending, patronizing, but some will take it that way. People on here are 'used' to others attacking them. So unless it's strictly scripture, offense is taken. The belief in 'solitary' belief in worship, not being with others in a church - is unbiblical, Heb. 10:25. The epistles were written to churches, not 'loners'. cont.

Only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way; the 'he' in the 2nd part is the he in the 1st part. The 'he' who now letteth - the word letteth means - to hinder. We - the church - are hindering the anti-Christ from coming on the scene at this time of Grace so that as many souls as possible can be saved - by our WITNESSING.

verse 13 and 14 are great

falling away.Christians that love the Lord and sat in churches listening to preachers all their lives will join the one world system church when Satan gets here. Then when the true Christ shows up they will be ashamed. The false religious leader antichrist saying he is God preaches he will fly you away. Impregnated with false doctrine they will say they are a widow no longer our husband is home.

Those who don't understand Gods plan and are not sealed in understanding what will happen will follow the first false messiah and will be his worshippers and ignorance is the mark of the beast. They won't have to give it out to anyone because the mark is in their minds. Those that didn't care to see the simplicity in which Christ taught the truth are they and all of the world that didn't care.

"But we are bound to give thanks alway to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth:" In this chapter we can clearly see another confirmation of our purpose in Christ for being here, and enduring faithful to the end. It is for keeping the testimony of Jesus, so God can judge.

Irene, I'd like to very carefully suggest something for you to think about. While it may seem innocent to some of us who are older, and have lived in a very different time then is now in the world; for that reason; that it IS VERY DIFFERENT; we should not speak of ourselves or others' personal information. Irene, for safety reasons, I don't give out personally identifying information over the internet. But as to your question; I do not go to Church. I do not encourage folks to go to Church, but rather to seek the Lord for themselves in the Scriptures, and pray for the Spirit's teaching and guidance; both for a true and right understanding of the Word, as well as what He wants us to do.

Irene, I believe I have the Holy Spirit because I asked, and I obey Jesus; because that's what the Apostles taught in the Scriptures. It was part of Jesus' complete work in saving us from our sins, and reconciling us to God, that He might send the "Promise of the Father" to His Elect that are in the world. I see it evidenced very much in my life, and in that He gives me understanding of the Word.

The falling away is the apostasy ,,or the falling away from God or ones belief not a rapture...

We must through much "tribulation" enter into the kingdom of God.Acts14:22. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall "tribulation",or distress,or persecution--- Romans 8:35

Sakana; adding to what you said, (very good!), that's what happens when folks who don't have the Holy Spirit to teach them all things, go instead after their own imaginations! Another problem that they make for themselves, is that they apparently don't have access to, or don't know how to use a Strong's Concordance, or a good Dictionary; for this would clear up all their misreadings of Scriptures.

I may be misunderstanding, but if "gathering to Christ" (v1) and "falling away" (v3) is same event, v3 doesn't make sense, "the rapture can't happen until the rapture happens." The falling away (apostasy) will be believers falling (leaving their first love) from worshipping true Christ. Why do they? Satan (1st) will look like the Lamb ( Rev 13). We wait for true Lamb (2nd). Patience. ( Lk 21:19)

Vs. 1, 3 - these 2 vs, speak of the same event - the rapture. IF the church were here during the tribulation there would be no rapture because - if they do not accept the mark of the beast - they will all be killed.

Bruce read Ezekiel 13 and know God hates those that teach it. He warned us of this generation of preachers and not to listen to them. Clouds is crowd and air is breath of life or just a spiritual body but it doesn't mean you lift off into the stratosphere. The subject matter in 1 Thess4 where are the dead. forget that letter because Paul wants you to know exactly how we gather back an so read.

Matt Satan is bringing a false peace that to the ignorant of the scriptures they will really think Christ has returned and when he performs supernatural tricks they will worship him. Why not he shows up in Jerusalem claiming he is God and looks like the Lamb with 2 horns of power but he speaks like the dragon and why? Because he the religious dragon Satan himself is deceiving the whole world.

@ Word, Amen! Lucifer, aka Satan, the serpent, tree of Knowledge, Assyrian, King of Tyre, the devil, IS the antichrist. Isaiah ch. 14; Ezek. ch. 28; Ezek. ch. 31; 2nd Thess. ch. 2. He will deceive all who do not have the seal of God. Those who believe in the ''fly away doctrine'' will be deceived by Satan. Out of 7 churches in Rev. Christ told all to repent but 2: Smyrna and Philadelphia. Study.

Bruce problem is God hates those who teach the rapture salvation written in Ezekiel 13. Plus the fact Satan comes as antichrist while we are all in the flesh and then at the 7th trump we are all changed. Satan comes acting the role of Christ and the world will bow down to him because a supernatural being can perform supernatural tricks and he says he's God. Instead of Christ deceiving the world.

Telling us that the son of perdition which is death, Satan, will be in Jerusalem claiming he is God and then the true Christ comes at the 7th trump. Now are you going to believe the deception and have pleasure in his one world system thinking antichrist is Christ and worship a false messiah. Satan is going to look like the real deal with power. So pray and ask Father to let you see the truth.

The rupture thing is not a biblical concept. Nowhere in the Bible have I ever read about it. Yes the man of sin refers to the Roman Catholic papacy. The inquisitions and tortures caused great dissention among christians - but some were steadfast in their Faith fearing nothing but persuing the truths. They sacrificed their lives for truth. Now the deception is subtle. It is the satanic NWO.
