Verse 7~This verse highlights the need to imitate faithful ones who display good conduct.
  • D W on 2 Thessalonians 3 - 6 years ago
Eutychus read II Corinthians 11/12 you will see Bro Paul said forgive me I robbed other churches to serve you. Because some may be after earthly gain don’t let that cause us to neglect our duty.
  • Sister Anne on 2 Thessalonians 3 - 6 years ago
Amen...what informative scripture, it's not la scripture for non-ministers of the Gospel who dont or wont work as too many think it is, it's for those who wear the title and walk in it by the proof of the Gospel in action, laboring for the kingdom. So it's not referring to throwing out family members because they are lazy and you wont feed them anymore. Jesus cares for the hungry, and we must too.
  • A disciple on 2 Thessalonians 3 - 6 years ago
I am wholly in agreement with that! Although it is Scriptural and something God has ordained to provide for the necessities of those who labor in the Word; it has given reason for much evil suspicion and resentment because of the abuses by many of that provision. Paul was very wise to keep money and the preaching of the Glad Tidings SEPARATE; and WORKING rather than risking scandal to Jesus' Name.
  • Eutychus on 2 Thessalonians 3 - 6 years ago
"Neither did we eat any man's bread for nought; but wrought with labour and travail night and day, that we might not be chargeable to any of you:" vs 8. Another example of Paul's refusal to take money, or a salary from the church within which he was working. You might call it, "living by faith", which today is as rare as hen's teeth, although mandated in scripture...
  • BSP on 2 Thessalonians 3 - 6 years ago
Verse 6- we have to keep away from anybody who walks disorderly.
  • Charles Bonsu on 2 Thessalonians 3 - 7 years ago
    Amen.
  • Ray321 on 2 Thessalonians 3 - 7 years ago
2 Thessalonians 3:14 And if any man obey not our word by this epistle, note that man, and have no company with him, that he may be ashamed. Some brothers in Christ might not have all the answers to the Word of God, but if that brother is willing to pervert the Word of God, then we must have no company with him. We still have to love and pray for him in the Lord.
  • Word on 2 Thessalonians 3 - 7 years ago
Jim wait for true Christ hail stones won't hit you or the burning fire, God is a consuming fire, standing next to a worshipper of antichrist that fire won't hurt but will be a warm feeling of love going through you. When the vials are poured and the wrath of God hits has nothing to do with those who waited for the true Christ. They heard the message that came from the elect delivered up an waited.
  • Word on 2 Thessalonians 3 - 7 years ago
Jim 1st tribulation is for all of us and it's a test for everyone and how some people can think they are somehow better than the elect who will stand against the false messiah and others who say they don't have to be in the tribulation is ignorance. We are all changed at the 7th trump and Christ comes here to set up His Kingdom.Listen to the two witnesses and those delivered up Holy Spirit speaks
  • Word on 2 Thessalonians 3 - 7 years ago
I won't be troubled in mind at what is said because that day of tribulation won't come until there is a great falling away and that man of sin is revealed the devil who will stand in Jerusalem claiming he is God and I will take heed and I won't leave the field of work and chase after a false Christ when they say Christ is in the desert or in the chambers. Wait, hail stones an fire 7th trump. Wait!
  • Bruce on 2 Thessalonians 3 - 7 years ago
Jim:We're in the tribulation. 2Timothy3:12 and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution. Acts14:22--we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God. Mark13:24 But in those days after the tribulation the sun shall be darkened,--. Those who are called John6:44, forgiving 1John 1:9, Baptized with fire Matthew3:11, Will be changed 2Corinthians 5:17.YOU WILL KNOW!

To Jim - I've seen a couple of your statements; you are right on, so KEEP ON. God bless your convictions.
    Acts2:38
  • Word on 2 Thessalonians 3 - 8 years ago
Jim there is going to be a lot of sad faces coming out of those 1 world churches after worshipping the false messiah at the 7th trump a shamed and not able to look in the face of the true Christ but they will say but Lord we preached in your name and we healed in your name and Christ will say, I don't know you. Not excepted at the wedding because they didn't seek real truth thinking just believe.
  • Jim on 2 Thessalonians 3 - 8 years ago
It is amazing to me how many believers misunderstand Scripture! It is also very sad. The church is a distinct group and God's wrath is not for us! Chastening yes, God's wrath and the tribulation period no! These letters were written for the purpose of clear instruction and to comfort believers. Trust the Lord and prayerfully read His Word. He will teach you. He loves you. You belong to Him!
  • Lu2677 on 2 Thessalonians 3 - 8 years ago
Verse 2 is saying wicked men do not have faith. Ephesians 2:8 "By Grace you are saved, through faith; though not of yourself, it is the gift of God." Faith is given the moment a person is saved. It is only through faith that a person is able to believe in Jesus, and believe on him.

  • BSP on 2 Thessalonians 3 - 8 years ago
Verse 2 shows that not all men have faith. This is something that has to be developed.
  • Anonymous on 2 Thessalonians 3:6 - 10 years ago
Obey them that have rule over you...Also, submit yourself to the ordinance of man for the Lord 's sake
  • Anonymous on 2 Thessalonians 3:3 - 10 years ago
His faithfulness is TRUE, SURE, is forever more...

  • Charles Stevenson on 2 Thessalonians 3 - 10 years ago
    It a very good chapter
  • Tim George on 2 Thessalonians 3:2 - 10 years ago
For all men have not the faith. The preaching of the gospel brings division . Some will believe and place their faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, while others will not. These are called unreasonable and wicked men. .
  • Adamu Oliver on 2 Thessalonians 3 - 10 years ago
we have to be praying that, let God continue to keep us from "all " evil and temptations, trials and persecutions because we are now in the last of the last days
  • Chidinma Eziyi on 2 Thessalonians 3 - 10 years ago
Brethern is important that we should allow the word of God to take a free course in our lives. The bible says that that the entrance of the word of God bringeth light is also important to note that all does not have faith so that we do not copy such people blc they are in our mist.We should keep a distance from them so that we do not get affected by their character but still love them.We also need to seek the true love of God and remain in his peace and patiently wait for him who shall establish us in all things Amen be bless.
  • John on 2 Thessalonians 3 - 11 years ago
I believe Our God is Orderly, therefore those who worship Him must be orderly as well, no room for laziness. We should encourage each other to work very hard and eat from our sweat.
  • Darrell on 2 Thessalonians 3 - 11 years ago
it talks about our brother that get caught up
in getting caught up in being disorderly conduct
letting sin rule in their life we got to
back up off of them for them to be ashamed .
but still love them as our brother but contend
with them to get right with god that it may be
    well with them
  • Obum on 2 Thessalonians 3 - 11 years ago
The point is that we should not equally yoke together with unbelievers.
  • Timothy Wayne George on 2 Thessalonians 3 - 11 years ago
The Lord Jesus asks, when the Son of man comes back will there be any faith on the Earth? It is sure that all men have not the faith, but as we get closer to the coming of the Lord this will become a total departure from the faith. We as believers are salt, and light, therefore we must conduct ourselves in orderly living as we wait for the coming of the Lord. As we must continue to support our families, and don't do like some of the believers who sold everything and waited for the Lord's return. Instead a waiter is a server, who patiently serves others. This is the context of this passage. We must continue to serve others as we wait for the coming of the Lord. By doing this the unbelievers will be inspired by our life style, and want to accept Christ as their Savior. May the Lord so direct our hearts into the love of Christ, and the patient waiting for His return.
  • Chrystal on 2 Thessalonians 3 - 11 years ago
I am thankful God gives us the word to read. Every day, I read something in the bible and this is so true we have to separate ourselves from the non-believers, but we also have an awesome way to share the word with them through Facebook. Thank you God for making it easier to find your word everywhere I go.
  • Maria on 2 Thessalonians 3 - 11 years ago
I’m so over focus on my online stuff that I can study the word online and it strikes that we can share the gospel with the unbelievers, but still we have to separate ourselves with them so we don't fall again to sin.
